I play the flute too. I have been playing for 5 years now, and i still suck!
my third year teacher had me playing out of a friggin' first year book!!! >.< I wanted to shove my case down his throat!!! But i did not want to get it dirty. He eventually quit teaching...i wonder why... twisted

i play flute! =]
i played concert for 3 years, now i'm in the marching band and i've been doing that for 2 years. i played saxophone for 2 years (4th and 5th grade), but i quit because it was too heavy for my little 6th grade body to carry around. so i switched to flute and i looooveee it and played it ever since. =]

My sis in gaia, ummm..... she is a fluist but she cant read notes..... i.. too... like the fluta cause..... i'm having fun... but my sis dont like me to play the flute cause i have my own talent....singing....but of course i'm being bored in that kind of music......so please help me to read notes for my sis......

guns-N-bloodyRoses Hi! I love my flute... and piccolo... but my flute more... *hugs flute* My friends and I aren't exaclty how you would expect to see a flute person. You would expect a flute person to be... well all giddy and peppy. We aren't like that at all. We always wear black (people calls us gotic emo kids but we hate labels) we do stupid stuff that others think is... not normal... You are not alone. People would label me as a punk rocker, I don't care. We flute players come in all colors and flavors, let them deal. dramallama

mipcy I'm here.....but I don't know how many other flute players there are. Um, if you look around in your band, you'll see anywhere from 3 to 40 flute players (I get the 40 from the high school. Yep, that's how many there are in the marching band alone, and then there are more that aren't in marching). Multiply that by the amount of schools there are, then add in the adults who play and the kids who aren't in band but play anyway, and you've got a lot of flute players.

I play the flute....I used to play the picc. but i haven't played it since 8th grade [sophomore currently] and so im rusty on it. I like playing pep band music when it's marching season, but not durring symphonic band. It's just not my thing. However, i really enjoy playing the flute, but at my school we are the hated section because of the picc. which sucks cuz we aren't that bad.... The perc. should be hated they play really loud and obnoxiously... lol

I love flute. I only have three people in my section though and they are all my friends so it is prety cool. I also play piccolo. And my band teacher told us to name our instraments so mine are Frederick and Pete. It was fun so the class went around talking about their instraments in their names and we got funny looks xd
