Research paper. Analyzing how Lewis Carol uses syntax and morphology to suggest meaning in "Jabberwocky." Original, I know. But since my prof apparently aims his grammar class at journalism majors (wtf?) all I really need to do is make it look all grammatical. Transitions be damned.
I should probably worry about the fact that I only have one source other than the poem itself, but eff it. I don't need some PhD to tell me "mimsy" is a godamned predicate adjective in an inverted sentence structure.

*sigh* I'm lonely. I wish I hadn't forgotten the password to my old AIM s/n. I really don't look forward to tracking all of the people on my buddy list down and telling them my new name. Not that I've been on THAT one, either. But, ya know. The whole "need to redo my entire buddylist" thing is kinda the reason. I'm still autologged into my old account on the old laptop, but I just don't feel like hooking it up and getting the info off. Plus, I think half of the people on it are hidden or don't take IM's from people not on their buddy list. x_X
Well, at least people will be more likely to know who I am if I do get around to it. It's "pyrebomb" now. One word. All lower case. Add me. Maybe I'll actually use it within the year. gonk

Collecting sources is hard when you're dealing with a single subject you can't deviate from. In one of my classes, I had to deal with collecting old sources for Mark Twain's photographs and how a critic can see something completely different from a photo compared to the real thing. idk. Kinda annoying.
What I hated was that I actually followed directions and got an A while another guy just rambled off some generalized story of his subject (without doing the actual assignment) and got a B. Why didn't I just do what he did and get the same grade? ):<
I never use my AIM either. I forgot my old password too (stupidly changing it without writing down the password). Ah well. Any time I use AIM no one wants to talk anyway. *shrug*

Yeah. I've written the whole thing except for the introduction and the conclusion. I seriously can't come up with anything for the life of me. My mom keeps telling me I put too much pressure on myself and I should just put any bullshit down and it will be better than everyone else's (I've seen some of their papers and she's right), but I just can't come up with anything beyond a thesis statement. gonk
But hey, at least I'm not using informal language like some of these douchebags. Or citing wikipedia. And my only grammatical errors are screwing up commas every now and again. You know, we barely talked about commas at all, this semester. But we spent a week on subject/verb agreement. What is so hard about that? gonk

Lady Pyre Yeah. I've written the whole thing except for the introduction and the conclusion. I seriously can't come up with anything for the life of me. My mom keeps telling me I put too much pressure on myself and I should just put any bullshit down and it will be better than everyone else's (I've seen some of their papers and she's right), but I just can't come up with anything beyond a thesis statement. gonk But hey, at least I'm not using informal language like some of these douchebags. Or citing wikipedia. And my only grammatical errors are screwing up commas every now and again. You know, we barely talked about commas at all, this semester. But we spent a week on subject/verb agreement. What is so hard about that? gonk You possess the sexiest trait in any human being: you try to do your best instead of doing just enough. If you feel like you are not suffering in other aspects of your life (and yes that includes friends, family, sanity and hobbies razz ) then there is no reason to take it easy.

What is so hard about that? gonk Cashew ******** chicken; and/or how patriarchal males in the 19th century privileged themselves through control of the interpretation of religious texts and how changing social upheavals in the 1800's caused a need to change the ideology in order to still use religion as an ideological state apparatus. It's kind of like saying, "A please" at the beginning of the essay. Speaking of which, I got an A on that paper. And in other notes, why are my grades improving as I increase the amount of liquor I drink. I've drank more than I ever have this semester and as long as I get b's on these finals I'll have straight A's.

Except that I'm totally suffering on the sleep front right now. Ugh... This is the first time I've ever written a paper backasswards and the last time. If I can't come up with a decent introduction for the thesis statement, then there isn't anything to prove at all. Of course, at this point, I could get a 0 on this paper and still manage a B in the class, but... ugh. I need to stop caring what people think of me or switch my major because this is seriously getting old. It's like with every good paper I write I wind up raising the bar on myself until I can't ******** make it over, anymore. And then I'm just sad.

And no, we're not headed for a Greece like meltdown anytime soon. In fact, there'd probably be a s**t load of backroom deals to prevent that as I'm pretty sure if we declared bankruptcy the dollar would tank and take the world down with it--in fact, that's kind of our insurance policy into forcing the rest of the world to accept our debt.
