Pidgey was struck and faltered a bit, but he regained his composure soon enough. His eyes were glaring with hate. "Featherdance then follow up with a Quick Attack!" Mitsu shouted in return. Pidgey performed the move, boosting his attack stat, and then charged at top speed into the Swablu. I hope Pidgey's wings don't act up too soon. He's still hurt from Nitro's attack. A concerned looks shot across her face, but was gone as soon as it came.

"Agh!" Winona exclaimed as her Swablu was beaten around. "Quick!" She shouted, "Sing one last time before you're taken down!" Winona was getting a little tense.

"Quick Attack again Pidgey!" Mitsu said, confidence filling her voice. Pidgey attempted to do as he was commanded but found himself falling from the sky head first, his wings giving away from the pain that still was there caused by the fire. "Pidgey!" Mitsu called already reaching for his Great Ball.
Before either trainer could react he was engoulfed in a brilliant white light. His wings expanded and he grew larger. He spread his wings out with a snap and flew low to the ground before regaining his altitude, nearly missing a crash into the floor. "Pidgey!" Mitsu said in amazement, "You've evolved!"

Winona gasped at the Pidgey's sudden and inconvienient (for her at least) transformation. "Don't let that scare you Swablu!" The Gym Leader cried, remaining professional. "Keep on singing!" she cried, not wanting to be bested this early in the fight.

Unfortunatly Pidgeotto wasn't able to resist the song this time and he fell gently from the sky asleep. "Pidgeotto!" Mitsu called out seeing her Pokemon hit the ground asleep. "Wake up! C'mon I know you can!"
Mitsu clenched her hand and unclenched it. She had never been good countering the sleep status.

Yes! "Swablu, it's weak after it evolves, take it down!" her voice rang from all corners of the Gym as the flying Pokemon slammed into the snoozing Pidgeotto, sending it back a few feet.
"That's good! Keep it up!" Winona cheered, a small victory in her grasp.

After being thrashed around a bit and taken a considerable amount of damage Pidgeotto finally woke up. He was weak now and hopped around a bit on the ground. "I know you can do it! Agility and then Steel Wing!" Mitsu called out. He preformed the first move, but faltered with the Steel Wing attack. Mitsu gritted her teeth.

"Things aren't looking good for that Pidgeotto are they?" Nitro inquired. "He's asleep and getting battered around by that Swablu." The battle wasn't looking good for Mitsu as the Pokemon hammered away.
Portabello looked closely, taking note of it's attack patterns in the unlikely avent he had to fight one. "I hate birds."

Eager to end the fight, Winona issued one last command. "Now's our chance! Swablu, one last Take Down!" She shouted, stars in her eyes.
Swablu, visably battered, flew at full speed towards the groggy Pokemon, but took a nasty fall into the floor, the recoil damage setting in finally.
"Agh!" The Leader stomped as she recalled her Pokemon. "Good enough, but now it's time to pull out the stops, Go Skarmory!" A pokeball flew, out which erupted a large silver bird with steel wings.

Mitsu sighed happy that the Pokemon was finally taken down. "Damn," she muttered under her breath. "Let's try Whirlwind, follw up with a Quick Attack!"

((Is it really possible to do two attacks at once? Doesn't seem fair.))
Skarmory was more than surprised to see the small injured bird conjure up enough strength to toss it aside with a gust of wind. "Agility!" Winona shouted, the Pokemon flying around in circles, streaks of air passing over it's wings as it was hit by Pidgeotto's Quick Attack, barely even noticing the damage.

Mitsu could see this was going to end badly. Pidgeotto could barely sustain his current damage and he couldn't even leave a scratch on that Skarmory. Literally. "Try a Wing Attack instead!" A bit of panic could be found in her voice.

"Here come the vines," Jaeshan called down to the two girls, "let us know when you've got them secured!"
"Okay," Kasiya called back. With Weepinbell's help, she made sure they were tied firmly around her waist and hips, and she held onto either vine as she prepared to be hoisted into the air. "Alright Fang, we're ready for you!" she told the over-eager bat, and he flittered down, his four wings beating rapidly, and grabbed her shoulders with his two feet. Suddenly, though, he seemed to forget the purpose for his being there, and he grabbed onto the back of Kassie's head, wrapping all his wings around her face. "Fnnnnnmmm! Ymmmf rrrrrrrreaf ffrrrrfff mrrrffmff!" she screamed through his wings, but only she would ever know what profanities she'd just uttered. Her arms flailing, she peeled the wings from her face, her expression grumpy. "Some things never change!" she growled. "Fang! Focus!" she nearly screamed at him.
"Cro...bat!" hissed the bat excitedly, suddenly flying upwards.
Startled, Kasiya barely had time to cry out as she soon found herself staring down at Jaeshan, and hanging from her waist by two securely tied vines was an equally startled Weepinbell.

Winona watched as the Pidgeotto attacked and attacked again and again leaving no mark on the Skarmory. Even the Pokemon was getting confused. "Um...Steel Wing?" she said with a bit of confusion as to why the girl was persisting. The steel bird waited untill the next pass, and held up it's wing, Pidgeotto smashing into it.

"I'm going to break him," Kasiya muttered as she and Weepinbell were set safely on the ground again. "Fang! If you even think of doing that to Ryka, you'll be sorry!" she yelled as she shook her fist at him.
"It's good to see you two are still getting along so well," Jaeshan commented idly. Kasiya wheeled and glared daggers at him, and wisely, he changed the subject. "Hey Ryka, are you ready?" he called, as Weepinbell readied himself again, perhaps even another unexpected ride to the ceiling of the cavern.
