The window exploded inward. A small sphere bounced into the plane. The perplexed passengers stared at it; seconds later, the - evidently male - person from outside was standing in the aisle and the sphere was gone. There had been no evident transition time. He looked down the aisle away from them, then turned back towards them.

Joe stood, adopting a fighting stance as his fists sprayed sparks. "Hi there," he called to the...guy. "Can we help you with something?" He moved himself surreptiously between the man and Jacob.

The man grinned. He flashed forward. Time seemed to slow to a crawl for a second, where they could track his movement. Then it returned to normal as he flashed behind them. He lifted the nozzle, which was linked to some sort of mechanism.

Joe spun at top speed, left arm swinging wide to knock the nozzle away and right arm bursting into flame as it launched forward in a jab.

When Joe swung, the guy was already ducking - again with the absurd speed. Most of the passengers were starting to scream.

Joe shoved Jacob back, to try to avoid him getting hurt, and skipped back. "What the hell is going on here?" Joe said, throwing a hail of tiny, explosive fireballs all around the man.

The man flickered around the vicinity of the fireballs and began to advance again.
Roland warned Joe.

Ohhhh, you have got to be kidding me, Joe thought. This is gonna be rough. He set off an incredibly bright flare, then dove back and grabbed his bag. He rooted through it, scattering clothes, and came back up with the Titan's Fists. I think we have a Sage on our hands, Joe thought. Oh my. "Our hands." Haha.
((That horrible pun was totally unintentional, I swear.))

The dazed man stumbled back, the nozzle whipping the air before him violently. He made a flickering evasive move back towards the cockpit, eventually stopping against the wall.

Huh. I don't think he liked that. Joe began to walk forward, setting off dazzling flares every step or so. They alternated between his left and right hands, arcing into the air and down to the ground.

Keeping his eyes blocked, the sage groped around, grabbing the first thing he found, a plastic cup. He drew back.
Oh s**t.
He threw it; it hurtled down the aisle like a bullet.

A plastic cup was even easier to deflect than the bullet that it flew like. Joe spun in off to the side, sapping its momentum so it caused no damage, then flashed a flare from both hands, closely followed by a fireball.
