[I let out a small strangled yelp, as I saw Father. His fur was ragged, and let out a pungent smell that I couldn't identify. What was this!? My heart pounded like rocks to the floor as I stared in confusion at Father. And pain. It wasn't what I expected it to be. I expected myself to be groaing, like Envykit had when she got put in pain.]
[It was like a huge rain cloud had covered my heart, and rain was battering madly, trying to shatter it. Though I didn't show anything. I hesitated to walk forward, giving a pained, glare to where Guardiankit and Envykit stood. But I decided against it. I landed in a heap of myself, and the cloud took control effortlessly.]
He's going to be a lump until cries of joy come X3 Or something.

DARKSHADOW I miss you.
I miss your smiles.
And I still shed a tear, every once in a while. [Darkshadow lay on the ground. Still too tired to move. But he had to see his kits!] "Pinekit! Envykit! Rainkit! Come here, please? Daddy's still alive... Don't you worry." Even though it's different now.

[Hauntedheart pricked her ears. Was that... Darkshadow? No he was dead, right? Then she saw him and her eyes widened. Darkshadow!] "Darkshadow! Envykit, Daddy's alive!" she mewed and stood up, trotting over to Darkshadow. "Darkshadow, what happened? Bramblefire made us believe that foxes had pushed you into the river and you drowned. The kits were scared to death. What really happened?"

Cinderwing's head shot up at Rainkit's question. He felt his chest crack, and he quickly padded to Rainkit, smiling lightly. "Dear, go play with Sunkit," he meowed quickly. He feigned a smile before nodding toward a piece of moss drifting by a tree. He crouched down, and whispered into the kt's ear."I bet if you and Sunkit race to that ball of moss, you'll win," He purred, a glimmer of miscief in his eyes. As he looked at Hauntedheart once more, sadness filled his gaze.
He padded to the she-cat, sitting down next to her. He sighed quietly to himself, thoughts sliding in and quickly disappearing from his head One particular one though managed to escape his grasp. "Do you think it's right that we keep this from them?" he whispered absentmindedly. As soon as the words formed, he breathed in, his tail flickering to his muzzle. He looked up at the she-cat who was taller than him. "Er, not that you're not a good mother or anything," he added quickly, feeling his ears grow warm. She was a good mother. She wasn't too clingy, but still had that proterctive instinct that showed. He smiled ever so slightly. She wasn't growing soft on everyone though.
Shatteredfang grinned slightly, rejoicing inside. She turned to Cinderwing's sister, who was scowling. "See? I didn't lose him. He wasn't dead!" She purred.
Birchshadow's eyebrow's furrowed as her green eyes narrowed. "Shut up, mousebrain. You're the one who thought he was dead!" She started out of the camp, returning to the StarClan ranks.
Shatteredfang stayed a little longer, her longing gaze flickering from Darkshadow, to her kits, and then to Cinderwing and Hauntedheart. She smiled dimly, bounding over to the two. She hesitated, but rasped her tongue across Cinderwing's ear. She whispered so only he could hear her. "Seems like you've tamed the anger inside of her, huh?" She asked, before bounding to Darkshadow. She rasped her tongue across his ear too, and rested her crooked jaw on his shoulder for a moment longer, before turning. Her eyes drifted around her familiar Clanmates, and soon, she found them resting on Foxfur. She smiled dimly. She had never liked the tom, but somehow, she missed the fights that they got into constantly. She grinned, trotting over to him. She settled herself near him. She would stay for a little longer, just to see what was going on.

[Hauntedheart glanced at Cinderwing and smiled. She pricked her ears and listened to what he said. She knew it was wrong to lie to the kits and she was about to say that when she noticed the tom's reaction. She smiled and purred absentmindly. "Don't worry so much, Cinderwing. You don't have to worry about me clawing your ears off. But you are right... I... I just don't want them to hate me or treat me any differently," she mewed and her gaze traveled over to the kits before it returned to Cinderwing. "This is my second chance to be a mother and I don't want to mess up again," she mewed without realizing it. [As soon as the words were out of her mouth, her eyes widened in fear and she glanced around, glad no other cat had heard her. Hauntedheart then looked back at Cinderwing. She hadn't just said that, right? She had kept her secret for many moons and she wanted to keep it hidden. Although she doubted it would with the words she had just said and she didn't think she could lie to Cinderwing if he asked her to explain what she meant.]
