Ugh, I need to get at least one good night of sleep. And this hospital is making it impossible.

Is it hard to sleep in a hospital? I thought all they were trying to make you do is sleep so their beds should be pretty comfortable right? (I've never been in hospital bed. Too damn lucky.)

@Fenrir: Well, the deal is that I'm a pretty light sleeper. And although the beds are pretty comfortable, I'm hooked up to an IV that beeps and whirls all the time....especially when it's out of fluid. Not to mention the nurses who burst into my room ever so often to check on me or on the off chance I'm asleep, wake me up to give me medication.....since they give medication round the clock in this place. So I get woken up a lot....well I would if I were sleeping. And then at 6am they send a douchebag from the blood lab up to terrorize everybody and draw blood from 5-6:30am.....and THEY TURN ON ALL THE LIGHTS IN THE ROOM TO DO IT. So even if I'm near sleeping or actually finally fell asleep, it's ruined by this guy. And they don't like it when you sleep during the day. After around noon, they start basically nudging you and telling you to wake up like it's rude for someone who hasn't slept all night and is sick to try and get some shut-eye. Ironically enough though, I am watching a stand-up thing. But I have NOT seen Zero Punctuation Vids....and I won't in the hospital cause their wireless filter doesn't allow me to watch vids, or even see pictures. It's lame.

@Orchid: Ummm, I think it's just called a web service filter. Doesn't really have a name though.
@Fenrir: Meh, some people can sleep through the annoyances, some can't. Just know that everyone seems to LOVE doing shyte before eleven in the morning. So from 7-11= high traffic in your room for everything. And if you're asleep when they come by to pick up your food tray.....you don't get to order your food for lunch, dinner, and then the breakfast for the next day. You have to call the cafeteria and go through this whole debacle. It sucks.
