Alasdair

PostPosted: Wed Mar 04, 2009 3:32 pm

Within the dense trees in Central Park roamed a cool chill that softly blew the fallen leaves from the ground. But the leaves that laid around a great oak tree laid undisturbed due to the thickness of the tree, it blocked the winds. The tree created the darkest dark and the calmest calm around it, which was why Alasdair preferred to spawn around it. And so a great dark whirlwind formed a cylinder from the shadows. It lasted no more than an instant, collapsing within itself as suddenly as it appeared. But the phenomenon brought with him something other than wind.

When the small cylinder gone, the great vampire Alasdair stepped from the shadows. He wore a long black leather trench coat, buttoned from his waist to his throat, he wore a black pair of trousers and black boots. Around his waist was a silver thread that held his fine katana at his side. The vampire had a malicious grin on his face as he turned and walked around the tree and headed towards the opening where the night creatures were gathered.

A moment later, his violet eyes saw Veroen along side Meredith and a female lycanthrope he had known only from photographs. Instantly he knew what they were about to do. He heard from his subordinates that Veroen had fallen in love with the pregnant Edith, and that he wanted to turn her into a lycan. He had turned into a fool, and Alasdair meant to fix that.

Alasdair did not hesitate for an instant, the vampire quickly reached into his back and his pale hand instantly took a firm grip on the dessert eagle that was holstered on his waist. The vampire withdrew his hand back, taking with it his gun. He lifted his arm and took aim at the lycan's head, but not squeezing the trigger.

"What are you doing Veroen?" Alasdair called out with a cold anger in his voice. "Have you gone mad" He added as he narrowed his violet eyes, that were focused on Layna.

Eden's own purple eyes instantly narrowed from behind her violet aviators as the gloved fingers of her right hand went for her own gun and her left fingers went to clench the buttons of her own plaid trench coat. She was tempted to gnash her teeth but instead her gloved fingers travelled from clenching her buttons to her coat pocket where she pulled a packet of classic juicy fruit from and stuck it in her mouth, gun still trained on Alasdair. She unraveled the wrapper single-handedly without any trouble whatsoever as her purple eyes warily watched the vampire from behind her violet shades and popped the gum into her mouth and disposed of the wrapper by shoving it, along with the pack of gum into her pocket.

The huntress' next move was to gently step in front of Layna so that Alasdair's barrel was now trained on her throat as opposed to Layna's head since Eden was a giant height-wise. There was absolutely no fear within the huntress as she took Layna's place, nothing eminated from her but youthful defiance. She wasn't going to just let this jerk shoot an innocent woman that'd been through so much and who hadn't been doing anything to him. She was a guardian and her job was to keep the peace, that included defending innocents of other races and she'd just been launched into action, the first action she'd had in months.

Though Meredith wanted nothing more than to stand at Veroen's side, take hold of his hand and leave this place with him before something broke out, she couldn't abandon Layna. Eden was instantly guilty for Veroen being condemned by Alasdair for loving her and going along with her wishes which was against Alasdair's interests. She wanted nothing more than to be at his side and let him know that she was there but she knew that he was going to have to decide how to face this himself. Of course, she would never allow Alasdair to harm Veroen and she'd pitch her life on that.

"Back off and put your gun away. You have no right to point that at her, she's done absolutely nothing wrong and absolutely nothing that's wronged you." Meredith's aim was true and her purple eyes burned with defiance from behind her violet aviators. She stood strong and her voice was filled with conviction and confidence as she spoke.

Alasdair

Alasdair's grin remained unchanged as the human stepped in front of his line of fire, making herself a barrier that almost completely hid the lycanthrope. It also did not move him the fact that the woman had actually aimed her weapon at him, she was actually pretty fast for a human. The vampire could have just shot the human before she even pulled out her weapon, but he was not planning on shooting her. Specially since she was Veroen's woman.

A soft chuckle escaped the great vampire's lips as he listened what the woman said, defending the poor life of the mutt. "And you want her to be a lycan Veroen? She would make a much better vampire than dog." Alasdair showed a wide grin, his weapon still aimed at Layna's head.

Layna felt her skin prickle, and her eyes narrow, cold and staring back at the figure who now stood amidst them. "How like a vampire to enjoy violence." She didn't mean Veroen. Veroen had been nothing but kind to her even though she was an enemy. Her teeth were bared in a feral sharp grin, clearly unhappy. "If it is Meredith's choice to become one of us, then let it be, but do not get involved. You cared not before, why now?" The last words were more of confusion, wondering why he was here all of a sudden.

"And besides, life is more important then death." She growled.

Alasdair

Alasdair let out a soft chuckle as he heard the mutt utter her first words. How ironic that the meat eating dog was preaching him about being violent. "This coming from the the ones that devour their pray until they are nothing more than bones on the ground." Alasdair grinned and took step closer, towards Veroen, while his weapon remained focused on Layna.

"Besides, you do not have any idea why I am here. So silence." The great vampire added coldly, his violet eyes piercing through Edith's profile and focused on the mutt.

"No one tells me to be silent, bloodsucker." She snarled back. She knew what he said was quite true, but thinking about devouring meat made her want to gag. She had been unable to even smell meat for so long, even the sight was a disgusting reminder of what she was.

"Then why are you pointing a gun at me? I am no threat, I have no reason to attack you unless you hard Meredith. And I don't think you will..." She said, grey eyes following Alasdair as he moved.

Alasdair's grin did not amuse Meredith at all and it tempted her to just shoot him right through the teeth and watch his set of pearly whites explode in his face but she restrained herself. Though she did have a temper she had enough self-control to refrain from actually shotting him but the leather of her gloves could be heard squeaking slightly as she tightened her grip on her gun. She clearly was no amused by the vampire's presence and had little to no tolerance of his presence though she had enough to not shoot him in the face when he smiled like that. Of course, like any other vampire he was beautiful and had a beautiful smile but she didn't like him at all, there was a sadistic, wicked side to his smile, something that she couldn't detect in Veroen's smile.

"You all like ranting about how humans are so careless with life and I'm willing to prove just how wreckless and care-free with life I can be. Then again, you're already dead so it really wouldn't be too much on my conscience to just shoot you right here and right now."

As Alasdair took a step toward Veroen she felt herself torn between defending Layna and keeping her safe from harm and assuring that Veroen was alright as well. She didn't want any harm to befall him because she'd accidentally found out that she loved him and he ended up loving her back. There was no way that she would allow him to suffer for loving her again, he had already lost his eye and it was the physical reminder of how much he was willing to sacrifice to keep her at his side. It was too much as far as Eden was concerned and it would not happen again, that she would make certain.

When Alasdair suggested turning her into a vampire, her eyes narrowed at him and she gave him a nasty glare though on the inside she was frightened at the prospect of becoming that again. The last time she'd felt herself slowly slipping away, becoming a monster more and more as time had gone on. The other side to her, the vampire had been trying to annihilate her and force her out and she'd been losing the battle slowly. She did not want that again and she trembled inwardly at the thought.

Alasdair's smile seemed to be everlasting, since he rarely frowned. He was always either being consumed with maliciousness or joy for what he was plotting. That applied to the current situation he was in; with a woman that he would not harm, with a firearm aimed at his face, and a beautiful woman who he must threaten just so that Veroen would not turn his new woman into a mutt. Sounded simple enough in theory, but it was always so much complicated when people acted on feelings rather than reason.

"You can both come at me at the same time and I will still beat you, but I did not come here for that. Just be still." Alasdair replied to both women with a soft voice, his eyes glued to the mortals.

Veroen was overcome by surprise whenever alasdair entered the scene. he was glad to see his comrade once again. However, when alasdair pointed his desert eagle at Layna, he began to try to reason with his friend.

"Alasdair, calm yourself. There are reasons why this must be done. She will die if she does not become a Lycan, and so will her child. This isn't exactly the easiest thing for me to accept, but it must be done, and if it means that Meredith will live through this, then so be it." He said this, as they both stepped closer to him. He reached out his hand calmly and rested it on Alasdairs weapon, and put pressure down, to slowly lower the gun from being aimed at Layna.

"Please, comrade, do not do this." he said calmly to Alasdair.

Ceon's berserk eyes were immediately glued on the vampire with the gun. The race he had sworn to fight as a young lycan. Dirt flew high into the air as Ceon darted forward and pounced of trees full of slash marks from his feet. Ceon lunged at the vampire from behind with his jaws gaping, and teeth glimmering.

Veroen sensed Ceon in the area, and looked just in time to see the Lycan jump at Alasdair. Veroen, being the quick assassin that he was, acted quickly. Using a mixture of Vampiric speed and assassin speed, and moved too fast for the human eye. He lunged forward, and caught Ceon in midair, and they both flew away from alasdair from the force of Veroen catching him. He put Ceon in a lock from behind, and shouted, "Ceon, NO! Don't do it!" he struggled with all his strength to keep the Lycan in cotrol in his lock.

Ceon flipped over and slammed Veroen on his back. Ceon wrenched free from Veroen's grip, and dashed at the vampire again with a viscious growl. He felt blind to everything else but that one vampire.

(( Edited ))

Meredith was shocked to see Ceon of all creatures flying at top speed behind Alasdair, attempting to take him out from behind and something told her this wasn't going to end well. Alasdair was looking to spill blood of some sort and if a lycan attacked him he would indefinitely not hesitate so this outlook was looking rather bleak already. As angry as Eden was at Ceon, she wasn't able to stand by and watch Alasdair kill Ceon for slightly personal reasons, mostly guilt but also because she knew he had good in him. However, by code Ceon had initiated the fight with Alasdair so it would be complete self-defense on Alasdair's part, not that she really cared.

However, when she saw Veroen intercept him she forgot her place and wanted nothing more than to scream in fright because she knew those eyes, those were the eyes that would kill whatever they could. Eden immediately rushed over as both Veroen and Ceon flew away from Alasdair. In her shock and reaction, she'd moved from in front of Layna and now aimed her own gun at Ceon defiantly. "You f**king touch a hair on Veroen and I swear to God I'll shoot you!"

Of course, Ceon didn't listen to her and he slammed Veroen around violently and she immediately rushed to Veroen's side seeing to inspect the damage done to him. She was worried sick but Ceon hadn't seemed to have injured him beyond surface wounds and for that she was grateful. She wanted to hug him and kiss him over and over again and assure he was safe but now was not the time, she had to deal with a rampaging lycan.

Veroen instantly got up, sensing that there was something different about him. He had gone beserk. Veroen was already on his feet, and dashed forward, and grabbed Ceon from his tail, and pulled to the left, causing Ceon to miss alasdair and everyone else. Veroen immediately dashed forward again, and tackled the Lycan to the ground once again.

"Ceon! Control yourself! Think about what you are doing!" Veroen shouted at him.
