She closed her eyes and calmly laid her head down on his shoulder, a subtle smirk still peaking at the edges of her lips as she rested her head and eyes. "Mmm ... It's not going to be too terribly long before we find out if being part wolf ******** with my mind so until then you're not going anywhere. This way even if I turn into a monster and forget everything you'll know that I always love you. If I start ... hurting people and you can't get me to calm down and I turn on you ... I don't want you to let me kill you ... If I'm a lycan I'll be able to tear you to shreds ..."

Veroen's face turned from happiness to that of a grim expression at her words. "Don't say that. And if i needed to, i'd be able to knock you out if it came to that. I know the biology of Lycans very well..." he said trailing off. He hugged her tighter, and closed his eyes, and enjoyed the moment while it lasted.
Siberius entered the park, and approached Veroen and Eden. He said nothing for a moment, then addressed Veroen. "It is done, he will be here before dawn."
Veroen looked up at him, and grinned. "Thanks Siberius. You owe me nothing now. I appreciate your services." Veroen was still holding Eden as he said this.
Siberius nodded. "No problem mate. You did save my life, after all..." he trailed off at these words. "I shall go back to my wife. She must be worried." As he said this, Siberius dissapeared into a run, into the darkness.

(( Lol. I wouldn't have known if you hadn't said anything. ))
"Well I'm sure I'm going to be pretty shaky on my feet and I won't know what to do with all my speed and strength so yeah you'd probably be able to knock me out. I'm sure a good punch to the head would still knock me out, it'd just have to be harder than you'd have to hit me right now to knock me out." She hugged him back, squeezing him tightly to let him know she was there, knowing that soon enough she wouldn't be able to use this much strength to squeeze him or she'd hurt him. After all, being a lycan meant she was gonna obtain a hell of a lot of strength that she would have to learn to control.
Meredith would have said thank you to the lycan but every chance she had someone cut her off and then the lycan decided he was going to zoom home to his wife so this would probably be the last time she saw him so she'd probably never get to officially or formally thank him. She felt a little bad since she was certain that the poor guy had probably been shaken up and rattled by the big bad alpha wolf he'd gone to but he seemed alright. There seemed to be a few holes in his clothing, though, so she wasn't one hundred percent certain what had happened to him. However, she didn't detect or notice any blood so she was fairly certain he hadn't suffered any drastic wounds or anything like that. Even though the lycan was running she decided that she'd cup her hands around her mouth and shout, it was her specialty after all, "THANKS SIBE!"

Veroen grinned after she shouted after him. He embraced her again, and right after he did, a scruffy british voice was heard in the distance, barely audible. "Your welcome miss! Take care of Veroen for me, eh?" after that, there was silence.

Meredith smiled a bittersweet smile, sad to see the spunky Brit go so soon but certain she'd probably run into him again in the future as a lycan. Of course she would take care of Veroen and she'd be able to take better care of him if she was stronger, a lycan, because she would have less to worry about as a lycan. Of course, that meant she'd also have to learn how to control herself and everything that came with being a lycan. "I'll indefinitely take good care of you, don't you worry about that," she said to Veroen with a smile. "You're my treasure, gotta guard that well." She laughed.

With a great many things on his mind and still aware that his brother could be close by Jaden walked into the park with his black coat concealing his tail. Sniffing the air gently he tried to put himself into a calmer mood even though he was meeting an assassin but he was failing miserably at it. His short temper was not something that helped in stressful situations like those that were occuring tonight.

Like Jaden, Meredith had a short temper and when she was frightened it was even easier to ignite than usual and she happened to be very frightened right now because a number of things could go wrong. Of course, that's when she spotted that pair of red eyes she remembered so well as they'd dangled her before them a long time ago. She hadn't been frightened then because she wasn't one to be bullied and she was half delerious but she was afraid now because there was a kid that was going to be involved this time. She was a mortal now, not bound by the same laws that she'd been before when scientists had found a way to cheat.
When she caught sight of Jaden she harshly poked Veroen, which resulted in her hurting her finger and then she rudely pointed at him and whispered, "That's him! His eyes! I remember them." She didn't want to go over and talk to him, she didn't really want to have anything to do with him. This had been Veroen's idea and she was perfectly fine hanging back and waiting for him to talk to Jaden and deal with the guy's temper.

Veroen caught the scent of the Lycan alpha, for he knew it well. He turned toward the direction Jaden came from, and grinned, happy to see the Alpha, for the first time in his life. He let go of Meredith, and stepped forward. He face was calm, but with a satisfied smile on his face.
"Hello Jaden. Thank you for coming. I wasn't quite sure that you would..." Veroen admitted.
"I am guessing you know why I have requested an audience with you?" He asked eagerly, almost a bit nervous that this was actually going to happen.

Layna felt her senses switch from calm to a state of confusion. Jaden? Jaden was here? In the park? She smelled him easily, her alpha, the person who she found to be a father of sorts and a brother of blood, as all Lycans were, related even when not related by family. She felt herself smile, a rarity that had not occurred since the birth of her son. After that..She had nothing to smile about.
And Veroen? She remembered him as well, when he had protected her from Daiguren when he had wanted to kill her. She wasn't sure whether to go forward , or wait.
But somethign was happening.
Why was Jaden here? What had happened while she was gone...?

Jaden flicked his ears in Meredith's direction before turning to Veroen. "Out of all the things about me she remembers my eyes." he said, his tail swishing in his coat. "Not the scars or the wolf ears. My eyes." His red eyes flicked over to the girl again before he turned to Veroen. "And I can guess. I just want to know why."
He sniffed the air gently. Layna was here... again... How extremely strange.

Veroen's nose picked up the scent as well, and remembered Layna, from long ago, from when D killed Ceon, and tried to kill Layna and their child. Veroen stopped him from doing this. That was when he decided to kill Daiguren. So many things have changed... He didn't look around, he figured that the Lycan girl would show herself in due time. He looked back at Jaden, noticing him smell the air at the same time he did. Veroen figured Jaden could smell her too.
"Well, Jaden, your eyes are quite different than most Lycans eyes. Anyway, I needed to see you because I need your help..." Veroen admitted. He motined to Eden as he continued. "As you know, she is pregnant with Ceon's child. I cannot change the past, nor can I tell her what to do about it. She is against abortion. And I am against anything she is aginst. However, if she is going to go through with having the child, then I will support her in it, and help in anyway I can." he said, hesitating before continuing to the nextpart, "I don't want there to be any chance she will die because of this. I love her, Jaden, and I want her to live, even if it means that she has to become a Lycan. This is why I need your help. You by far are one of the most experienced Lycans I have yet to meet. I want the best results from this, and I think that you would be able to give the best results." He finished his long statement, and looked at Jaden again, cutting to the chase.
"I asked for you to come here, because I want you, and only you, to change her into a Lycan." he looked at Jadens red eyes with his own crimson pair, waiting for a reply. He hoped Jaden would accept, he wished for it in his mind.

Layna felt her heart drop coldly into her stomach. Ceon had made someone else pregnant. The only thought that crossed her mind was ...What a b*****d. He would never change apparently. And she sighed, slowly walking toward the scents that prevailed above the others. Nicer people, for sure, even Veroen she liked more then Ceon right now.
The air seemed tense now, a decision being made that would save someone.
"I guess I have missed a lot..." She murmured quietly, stepping out of the shadows, grey eyes looking at the three who stood there.

Jaden stared at Veroen for a long time. The fire that had awakened in him was burning deep within them as he thought about what was going to happen.
"You are aware that in my centuries upon centuries of living I have never converted a human into a Lycan." he said, not blinking. This was a battle to crush down the vampires will on the matter and be done with it. "And even if I did bite her without killing her outright then there would be close to a 50% chance that the transformation alone would kill her. And then even if she survived the change there would be close to a 50% chance of her miscarrying. Are you capable of understanding the odds of this turning out like you want?" he snarled.
Like he usually did at the beginning he disregarded Layna, even though it was obvious he knew she was there.

Meredith hadn't realized that the odds were thicker than even Ceon's skull all staggered against her as opposed to for her. The risks involved had never crossed her mind because she'd just never really thought about what becoming a lycan would really be like. She wasn't scared for herself, she wouldn't be doing this in the first place if it was to benefit herself, no, she was doing this to benefit her child. However, the odds not only staggered against her but against her child and this was where her thoughts forced her to halt and seriously consider the matter. Her purple eyes were hidden behind her violet aviators but they shone with the worry that any young mother would have for her unborn child. The odds against her and her child were unbelieveable and she wasn't really swallowing Jaden's statistics all that well at the moment, all she could think about was her child.
"So you're telling me that my kid has a f**king fifty percent survival rate in all of this? How come Ceon didn't seem to f**king be up to date on these stats because never once did he mention to me the possible risks of this or that the odds are just as much against me as for me? Do you, by chance, know what my chances of miscarrying are if I remain a human?"
Eden was measuring the amount of risk involved for her child and to become a lycan suddenly didn't seem like such a good idea. She did not like the fifty fifty odds that faced her and her child so she decided to try dangling in the odds of her child surviving with her still being a human. Everything right now, though just managed to seem horribly surreal and like none of it was happening. Her stomach wasn't even there yet but all of them knew there was life inside of her, an uncomforting thing for her to even consider but it was the truth.

Layna looked at the woman, with a solemn gaze. "If the child is born, you may not live to see it. Humans were not meant to have our children, and most are known not to survive." She lowered her gaze to the ground. "Please forgive me for talking out of term, Jaden, but being a healer has it's perks, and so does having my own children."
She was flustered, being back, and already realizing what was happening. These things were never supposed to happen. Why were they? Her head hurt with these travesties. And Ceon... How could he be so stupid?
