He was right ..his momentum was enough as the Omanyte would turn to simply see their backs. It would seem that they had made good on their rush to escape.
The pokemon simply sighing wishfully ..maybe another time.

Jade glanced over his shoulder and saw that the pokemon wasn't following after him. Cheerfully, he continued jogging. He was going to keep going and going but today would be the day he got off the island! The boy watched as his surroundings still seemed to be the same though. A tough lil' male Shieldon watches the boy run past. This wasn't the type of pokemon that was normally the aggressor, instead, he would simply work on getting something to eat. So, he of course hadn't brought up his head from feeding as he watches the boy continue his race through the forest.

Jade turned in time to see the Shieldon but kept running. Glancing back, he saw the pokemon was calmly eating. Well that made it easier on the pair. They were getting closer to half way through the forest as he spotted some familiar markings. The boy continued at his pace, making sure not to go too fast so he wouldn't burn out. Jade continued jogging. He paused for a second, took a couple deep breaths and let his heart rate go back down. Phew, he was really out of shape. The boy then resumed jogging. Jade continued running. He was almost half way there. There! He could spot the marking he had made. Okay, just half more to go. Then it would be other moonlight forest and he'd be home free. The thought of going home made him happy and renewed him full of energy. He continued to jog towards home.. and the beginning of the island. Jade paused to take another breather. Phew, all this running was great but tiring. But he couldn't afford to slow down. Checking to make sure Nyx was okay, the Umbreon seemed perfectly fine- he continued to jog once again. This time...must keep going farther.. The boy was really panting to catch his breath. But he had to at least keep running through the forest. After thy left this one, there would be less dangerous pokemon around. He tried breathing through his mouth to help and then blew out through his nose. It seemed to work a little better. He kept jogging, hoping the end of this place was close. The boy was running out of ideas. He really needed to work on his stamina. This time even his Umbreon looked a little winded. By the look of the creatures eyes, it wasn't giving up. It wouldn't be any slower or show weakness to a mere human afterall. Jade gathered up his own determination. This was to keep his pokemon safe, he couldn't let them down! The pokemon would crash into Jade quite literally as it had jumped and missed it's jump. Smashing into his face, this time he would be forced to stop as the pokemon rolled free of him and turned back to look at him with a sqwark that could destroy or shatter glass.
Wings flapping in a mock of flight at that moment as he glares at him.

Jade ran smack into the Archen. Togethr they tumbled before it leapt away and the boy was left running his face. Ouch that had hurt. Rubbing the top of his head, he winced slightly. Ugh, that pokemon must be made of rocks or something! The boy glared but looked up at the path beyond the Archen. They were close to leaving this forest! Yes! The boy looked happy as he stood up. But first they had to escape the Archen. He ran once again with a burst of speed trying to avoid the creature and keep moving forward! He would be shocked at the fact that the boy had taken off at a run. Though he wasn't so willing to let him go as he spread his wings wide and would chase after him .....though a human's movements of running was much more than that of a bird's and the pokemon would try to use a move so as not to be left in the dust.
Tail wind .....maybe that would help him overtake Jade.

The human trainer managed to avoid the bird and kept moving forward! He was on a roll as he kept jogging forward. It was so close and his goal was right there. The boy grinned happily and then continued jogging. Making sure Nyx was keeping up, he continued forward. It was within reach, soon...so close! He had made it to the final ring of the forest ...the trees moving in the wind as the sky dark ...fans out above him. Things seemed to be quite rapidly going his way as Jade was close to escaping the place altogether.
