The late time lan saw Crystal she looked ot me about 16. Now she looked to be about 4 years older but her mind was still the same. Her body had aged as the rest of her stayed the same.
Crystal stepped al the way out so Lan could walk on through. She didnt' mean to block the door as she spoke. After hearing the guy she sighed and shook her head. Crystal turned and walked intothe kitchen.
"That's ok. I don't feel much like dateing."

Right then. There is still the matter of me giving my word to Focht that I would look after you. I want you to stay close to me and I'll be your shadow everywhere you go for now on. Who knows I could still get a date yet.

Lan's laughter quickly subsided, taking note of his wife's aggitation. Ka'lana was a proud woman, before her death, and becomeing a tool of death hadn't really diswauded her actions much. Infact, having such a strong husband only futher fueled her ambisious ways.
"You'd have me stop him then? He seems like a lively young lad."
Lan only got his wife's cold glare in responce. Ka'lana was a fine weapon, and when she was alive an even finer woman! That thought made Lan smile, despite the obvious irritation he felt resinateing from the blade at his waist. If the young Warrior Spirit was truely threatened by this young individual then he would take actions, and not before. This time he didn't reduce himself to crouching, twisting, and kneeling through the door...this time he just walked through it. The 13 foot giant plowed through the wall and door frame, an obvious look of annoyance at the construction of the building was evident on his face. His annoyance shifted from the structure down to Leng. The boy seemed to be a good individual, despite his too forward approaches, but he was a bit tiresom to listen too.

"I don't like to be watched and I hate to be followed. I'm sorry but I'm sure there are other things you could do with your time. I'm a big girl and I can take care of myself, but thank you."
Crystal walked back out of the kitchen with a cup of tea.

I was in Fochts pack way back when. He raised me from a young cub. If he said to watch you then that's what I'm going to do little girl. Even if you don't see me around I'll still be watching you.

Crystal frowned as she sat her drink down. She looked back to Lan as her right hand moved to the hilt of her dagger. The way he talked bothered her graitly. Without thinking she started biting her lower lip as she thought everything though.
"Please. FOcht would not want me to be unhappy. I'm not asking I'm tell you. YOu will not follow me around."

*His grey ears flattened as his tail tucked between his legs. Standing up he walked to the door with a sigh.* I'm only doing as I was told.

Lan remained where he was, towering over the little Leng. A fitting name would be Arrogant Protector...it would suit the boy well enough. Lan was laughing, inwardly, but his face remained cold as stone. He was tempted to fetch Flameberg from it's resting place upstairs in the Warrior Spirit's room, but that temptations subsided when he heard another nagging voice.
"Ya just gona let this p***k go on like that?"
"Why not? It's not my fight to fight...and she can handle herself."
"Jerk, what if this dude's a fricken weirdo and tries and kill her or something?"
"She's not foolish, if she senced danger she would not let him near her. And besides, you know she can fight well enough."
"Yea, but it's still not as good as she could be..."
"And here I thought I was the philosophical one."
"Shut up Lan."
"As to you, Nal, now give me my thoughts back and let me ponder in peace."
"What kinda tea is that?"
"NAL!!"
Nal was gone, and Lan couldn't help but chuckle, inwardly, at his brother. He was always doing little things like that to bug him...a brother's love no doubt.

Crystal watched him closely. She didn't move her hand as she stood there. No one was going to tell her what to do. Now if she had known him for a while or if Focht was there to say it was ok then she wouldn't mind as much. But with everything going on she wasn't about to trust a stranger.
"I'll go get your sword..."
She said quickly as Crystal turned and headed up the stairs. She hoped that he would still be gone when she came back down the stairs.

"She's gona burn herself..."
"You sure?"
"What did you do to my sword, brother?!"
"I have done nothing...but are you so sure that she will burn herself."
"Is she a Fire Titan? No, bit to short...is she related to us, by blood? Not unless you've given her a pint or four of your own blood...nope! And unless she has bloody ice magic to frost over a volcano then NO! Stop her before she burns herself!"
"I already know she cannot draw the blade, not without assistance...let her find that out for herself."
A strange sort of smile came over Lan's face. It was a twist between laughter and a twisting madness. It seemed his conversations with his brother and wife had been comeing more frequently since he descovered the new part of him. It was a phase of being that changed Lan into a killing machine, disregarding emotions for raw power, and switching blood lusted brute to cold and logical monster.

One in her room she looked at the blade that had given her do much trouble before. She sighed as she slowly walked over to it, rubbing her hands on her pants. She took a deep breath a she picked up the flaming sword. Quickly she picked it up and made it all the way back down the stairs before dropping it to the floor.
She had gotten stronger but she was still unable to hold it for long points in time. Her hands were burnt but she covered then up with her sleeves and played off the wounds.

"So you can hold the blade...impressive."
Lan reached down and drew the Flameberg as if it weighed nothing. The blade felt Nal's presence inside Lan and began to radiate a violent red color. The glowing continued until the light twisted and churned and soon errupted into fire. Flames danced along the charred edge of the blade, and within moments the flames had melded with the sword, making it glow a bright red. Drawing in a deep breath he sighed, maveling at how easy it would be to simply strike her right now...a pinge of rage caught him, from Ka'lana, and he let his thirst for vengence quickly subside back into his dark thoughts.
"Well done, Warrior Spirit, all is forgiven...you are no longer held for my brother's death."
Despite Lan's words he still believed her to be at fault, and the tone of voice in which he said it was evidently clear, to any that heard him, that he still felt the same. Slideing the sword onto his back he turned and headed towards the exit, grumbling something under his breath.
"Good night, Warrior Spirit, you must rest. You will grow strong, I can see the potential in you, but you must work hard for it. It will not simply fall into your lap and make you great, you must strive and work...devoteing every ounce of your strength to it."

"I will rest soon. There are many things I still have to do tonight."
She didn't look him inteh eye nor did she try. Crystal knew he would always blame her no matter what he said. She turned and headed back into the training room. She winced as she picked the wooden sword back up and moved to the dummy.

After a few minutes she dropped the wooden sword to the floor. Crystal carefully pulled her sleeves back and looked her hands over. She sighed as she took note of the burns. Tomorrows task would be hell like this. Quietly she headed up to her room, leaving the door open behind her as she went straight to her bed. Crystal fell over onto it with out removing any items from her body. Slowly she drifted off t sleep as she let her mind drift. She wondered where Akai and Gallyon were.

Rolling of her bed, Crystal it the ground with a thud. Her eyes shot open as she jumped up and quietly looked around. She laughed softly at herself as she walked over to the dresser. There was a first add box on top and could use the bandages inside to wrap her hands up with.
After a nice hot shower and getting changed, Crystal headed down starts to the main room. She quietly took a seat on the couch and tucked her feet up under her body. Her mind was on Ka'rinth and the next task she might have to do.
