I wish I could say I've been playing for a while. I'm going on to 4-5 years. I learn very quickly, though. The senior band is cut up in three grades: 10, 11, 12. I'm in Grade 11 and I'm the only flute in the 11/12 senior band class. It's so frustrating because no one can hear me because the sax section is right behind me, playing as loud as they possibly can. ><
I hear that sistah!! My freshman year I had to sit right behind the trombones >.< It was SOOOOO gross when they'd get spit on us and ...blech.. And our saxes our way to loud too.. they try to play over everybody ...

hi, new to the guild~
been playing flute for i think 4 years now and well i've been thinking of maybe trying another instrument, anyone have suggestions on what i should try? btw im also joining a jazz band and i don't know what i should play in that either~

I try to practice whenever I can
which is close to nothing right now
because of school.
There is no band or football at my school.
(Not that I care for the football.)

Lol! I play flute too, I will join band next year, because we could either choose band or computers/home economics/art/languages . You can tell which one i REALLY wanted to do! I have private lessons to catch meh up because I havent practiced for a while! sweatdrop But yeah, thought I should join this awesome guild to meet some more flute players!

Ok so not only did I make first chair for my the whole band, but I got into honor band and made first in that!!!! I am so excited!!!!!! The only bad part is I have to give up my Monday afternoons to honor band, which I don't mind playing, just with school and advanced classes in only the 8th grade, along with social life it makes things hard.

 { I don't' care much for football but I love Band :3 it is so much fun! I just wish I could have done marching band but because we moved I couldn't do it. It is sad. They were doing Casino Royal and it looked so fun! They are doing Jekyll and Hyde this year. I just hope I don't have to move agian crying }
