Alrighty! I'm hoping that the hair dye will go on like spray paint (I have black/dark brown hair) or it'll look like nothing happened. At least that means no stains, hahah. I'll definitely keep all your tips in mind. (:
DemonicDollie: Sorry, can't help you with chemistry ): I've only taken a year. I can help you with any math stuff if you give me the equations, though.
Jedi: There's this handy body paint stuff that I know Walgreens has been selling lately because of Halloween (I'm sure other places have it too) that washes off with water and soap, but shows up really well. It's a palette of just a few colors...well, you probably won't need the exact brand, but look for body paint that comes as a solid (oil based means it won't crack or split) and have fun (: How are you drawing the Dark Mark? I never really like the movie representation.

Turayza: Thanks, I'll definitely check out Wal-Greens, I mean, we only have like, three Wal-Greens within five minutes of my house. I found a picture of the Dark Mark tatto online, and printed it out. And we're going to have my friend draw it on our arms for us because she's really good at drawing so she'd make it look good.

Hello everybody.
Maybe being a second year has me more bogged down with work and tutoring a first year protege
Also, I keep having to deal with unwanted owls including some howlers forwarded from the muggle realm... more of them than I can carry in one handful.

Hm, I'm not certain what year I'm considered or if I'm even a member of Ravenclaw anymore.. Anyone still remember me? I disappeared about Feb of last year - sorry about that! I started working full-time (hooray for getting a paycheck) and starting dating a nice guy at the same time. Needless to say, life got a little busy. I'm now married and 6 months pregnant!! So I'll prob never be a regular again but I just wanted to drop in and say 'Hi' if anyone remembers me. smile

Hi, I remember you! Congrats on being married and on the new baby! I have never dyed my hair even with the temp stuff, I would rather get a wig, but that is just me. I should go as a deatheater one year, thanks for the idea!

I've tried wearing wigs before, but my hair is long and thick, so wigs and my hair don't get along too well.
Orna: Congrats on getting married and having a baby! It makes me feel really young since I'm still in high school.
Well, I got my costume today. I got long black robes with a hood, and I found a mask that I like, but it's not silver so my friend is going to spray paint it silver for me.

I already gave you my congratulations Orna ^^ It's so awesome that you're gonna have a baby.
Seems like everyone is excited about their Halloween preperations. :/ Halloween isn't such a big thing here.. mostly it's just the smaller kids going out trick and treating, while some of us older kids have halloween parties.
I won't do either. xD; Might wear a "bloody" shirt on school in Friday or something instead.
Maybe. Most likely the only thing I'll do on Halloween is accompany my grandma to the graveyard to put a candle on some relatives graves or something. That's an ooooold tradition here apparently.
I don't get the whole "graveyards are scary" thing either. A friend of mine and I often visit the graveyard at night for a midnight stroll. It's the easiest accessible area here where it's really dark, so it's a really good spot to look at the stars and the Aurora Light.
Anways... I just posted my previous Norwegian mock exam on the writing arena here. ^^ Of course, it's written in Enlish, since I translated it afterwards. Just for the practice and the kicks.
I've also posted a Severus fanfic on the fanfiction competition this month! Mine was the first entry! *Feels accomplished somehow*
Good luck with the Dark Mark Jedi! I kinda wanna see it... Would you mind posting a picture or something on here once you've made it? I think it would be awesome to see.
Speaking of the Dark Mark... Anyone think it'd be too extreme to get a Dark Mark tattoo? lol I'm gonna get a phoenix tattoo soon, so I was wondering whether I should take a Dark Mark as well. Just for the confusion of the thing.

Kitsune: I think the whole graveyards are scary thing possibly came from vampires sleeping in coffins, and when they are turned, in order to rise as a child of the night, they must be buried in a graveyard then rise. At least, that's how they do it in books and such that I've read. Also, ghosts. Back in the olden days, people believed that the spirits of their loved ones would forever haunt the graveyard so they were scared to go in them at night.
We don't have school on Friday-it's a Teacher Institute Day where I go to school at. And first term for us ends tomorrow-I'm one-fourth of the way done with my sophomore year.
I don't really know how to upload things on the internet and such, so I'm not sure about posting a pic of our "tattoos" online, plus I don't even own a digital camera...sad, I know.
I guess it depends on where you got the dark mark tattooed. I mean, if it was on your left forearm like it is in the books and movies, or if you got it on your back or something. I guess the extremity of it would sort of be where you get it tattooed, if that makes sense. Because my friends and I have actually talked about getting Dark Mark tattoos, and I personally would get it on my mid or lower back because then it would be easier to hide in the work place, and people wouldn't know that I have one. But that's just me. I think that a phoenix tattoo would be amazing.
I tried to write a Severus Snape fanfic, but I fail at writing stories. I can't develop the plot.

That's sad that halloween isn't that big of a deal over there, apparently I'm going to the scream zone down in san diego with my friends and boyfriend. It will be my first time doing it, so wish me luck!
I want to get a tattoo so badly but I'm a chicken of thinking it will be on my skin forever. I was thinking of getting a heart in the middle a lightning bolt to signify how hp has changed my life on my wrist. I'm still living with my mom, so I figure, she would kill me.
Orna be sure to show us pictures of your new bundle of joy coming in jan/feb?
Ah, I know what you mean, my hair is also really thick and long, its hard to wear a wig.
Kitsune, your mock exam or actual exam sounds difficult, I'm glad we didn't have those in high school.
Don't worry Jedi, high school goes by super fast! Before you know it, its graduation day. College is much better though.
I was thinking of writing something for the contest but I'm just so busy all the time, I barely have the time to post here.

I'm going to a parade on Halloween with some friends. I've never been to it before, so hopefully it'll be fun! smile I'm being a blue and black faery this year. biggrin
Orna, congratulations!!! That's great news! razz
Jedi, the Dark Mark tattoos are a brilliant idea! idea Let us know how they turn out. smile You could submit a fan fic you found; you don't have to write one.
Kitsune, kudos for entering this month's fan fic contest! cool I always fics on Sev interesting because his character is complex.
Para, that's a really nice idea for a tattoo. whee I've considered getting a moon to represent Moony. heart I probably won't, though, because when I age my skin will shrivel and it will lose its shape. xp

I would love to get a tattoo and I think I might get one when I'm older maybe, like on my lower back, but it always looks really painful, so I'm scared of that, and my skin when it ages and it gets all shriveled.
Well, Halloween should be fun tonight. I was supposed to sleep over at my friend's house tonight, but then she called this morning and said that it was cancelled because her younger brother had a fever and her mom didn't want us all getting sick, and I agree. The only bad thing about trick-or-treating tonight is that it's about 45 degrees out, 36 degrees with wind chill, and the sun is out. I just can't imagine how cold it'll be when the sun goes down. Maybe I should have been an eskimo...
Hope everyone has a wonderful Halloween!

I hope everyone had a good halloween! I didn't go to the scream zone, instead I went to applebee's and ate food. I did enjoy my costume though.

Halloween was okay. We didn't have one trick-or-treater show up to my house. I had the most fun wearing my costume around school Friday. I was a demeneted Mad Hatter for what was basically a Malice in Wonderland type group. We won the group divison.
I would get a small Dark Mark tattoo on maybe my shoulder blade, but I agree Jedi that I wouldn't get it some where it would be very noticable. However on my shoulder blade I could hide it a lot easier. I do however want a tattoo that wraps aronud my ankle.

Halloween was pretty fun. I went with a group of six other people. Two of my friends and myself were Death Eaters-Dark Marks and all. One of my friends was Malice from Malice in Wonderland, one was a vampire, one was a ninja, and one was a punk pirate. We were the only group of older kids in my friend's neighborhood that went trick-or-treating. And we only saw maybe three or four other groups of trick-or-treaters, but they were young-probably 3rd grade or younger-out.
One of the really funny things that happened while we were trick-or-treating was that my friends and I looked up at the sky, and we saw that one of the clouds was shaped like the Dark Mark, so I pointed my wand at the sky and shouted "Morsmordre!" It was quite amusing.
Well, I started a new term at school. None of my classes changed though. And Scholastic Bowl started today also. The Frosh-Soph play was announced yesterday, and I'm thinking of trying out, because there are over 40 parts, and since it's only open to Freshman and Sophomores, then they need pretty much everyone in drama to try out. But try-outs aren't for another month and a half or so. I just half to get over my stage fright. I can give speeches and presentations quite well in front of a class or a group of people, I think it's just the thought of actually being ON the stage that scares me. Anyone got any tips?
