"Reckless, stupid? I dont think I fit in either category." He said confidently. Kigaku stretched and pulled out his guitar. He played a light and cheerful tune. I better be careful from now on. Make sure I know I did everything right, maybe I should pick out something not so...dangerous. He thougth, but shook it off. "So what should I do next?" Kigaku said to himself.

"Very interesting, and what is your real name?" Faccia said floating up in the air and landing a few feet from where he stood.

Kimu plopped herself down in the grass criss cross in the same exact spot she had been sitting in before cooking class. The elf put her headphones on and turned her Ipod back onto the same song she had been listening to, but she turned the volume down low so she could hear stuff besides the music. "It's been quiet today, hasn't it Lucky? I'm glad I've yet to meet my roomie, if I even have one. Roomies always try to be friends with you. Friends are so troublesome since I never see them again after the school year." Kimu wasn't unsociable, in fact she absolutely loved talking, but she never found a reason to make true friends. It never made sense to her since she changed schools every year. The cat meowed and sat down in the raven haired elf's lap, looking up at her. Kimu laughed and scratched Lucky behind his ear, which set him into loud purrs. "Of course I don't mean you when I talk about friend. You are my only friend you silly." She smiled and pulled the book she had started to read out of her bag. The elf opened it and shooed her little cat out of her lap so she could place her book there. The cat meowed, but moved nonetheless next to her. Kimu placed the book in her lap and placed her elbow on her knee, propping her head up with her hand. "Good thing I have books though." She said quietly to herself before she started reading.

Reika sighed. "I don't think you do either, I just don't want any of my classmates getting killed here." she shrugged. "as for your next 'project' so to speak, I recommend taking it from the beginning. Something within your range." She smiled a bit evily. "But I'd like to help."

((alchemy has started))
After Japanese class was over Suisen looked at her schedule again and it said she had alchemy so walked walked out of the classroom and went to alchemy class. Kana had walked into her classroom and she saw one student there, she introduced herself,"Hello,I'm your teacher Ms.Takanabe, who are you?" she said looking at the door to see if anyone else would come."I'm Suisen, nice to meet you" she said."May I ask, where all the other students are?" she said in curiosity."I don't know where anyone is because I don't know anyone in this school" she said.

"From the beginning? How so? like a fly or something?" He joked, "Of course you can help me, next time." Kigaku looked at his watch and then yelped. "I have alchemy, so I gotta say goodbye." He rushed out of the cafeteria to his dorm. At his room he grabbed his backpack and put Konna to sleep before leaving. "Ok, Alchemy." He said in a happy tune. He walked into the classroom. "Hiya! I'm Kigaku!" He said to the teacher before taking his seat.

"Hi,I'm miss Takanabe, why are you late?" she said in curiosity. Then she walked to her desk got some chalk and started to write some stuff on the board.
PostPosted: Thu Jul 05, 2007 5:59 pm

"Fang, I have a tail if you meant that literally. If not.. then what do you mean." Faccia puzzled by her student's sudden good attitude. She was turned off by his stern take on her lesson, she was upset to find a student not willing to learn, but now it seemed he was a pupil of her's that was promising.

"I'm late because I had to go to my dorm before coming here." He said with weak smile. "I hope its all right." Kigaku said in an apologetic.

"Its okay, I spent the whole class going off about labels and such it probably was hard for you to notice anything else. It is okay that you are not a very observant being, I, myself, am very observant and curious by nature; I have become more and more observant, I think by reading so much. Do you like to read?" Faccia said staring off behind Fang curious of what the darkness would entail for the night.

"It's ok, as long as you come to class, there's no problem" she said with a smile. She finished writing on the board and it had :
Laws of Alchemy

Alchemy is the art of utilizing specific esoteric laws in order to manipulate and transform one thing into another. Because Alchemy follows very specific laws the things that can be accomplished, and how they are done is somewhat limited.

Equivalent Exchange: This is the first and most crucial law in Alchemy. The law of equivalent exchange states the following: “In order to gain, something of equal value must be lost”. This is because neither matter nor energy can be created or destroyed; only changed. It is said that a legendary object known as the Philosopher’s Stone is capable of bypassing this law, as well its related Corollaries. No proof as to the existence of such a stone has ever been found.

The First Corollary; True Conversion: A corollary to the first law, True Conversion states the following: “One element cannot become another”. Thus if you wanted to make a steel wall you’d need the raw material, Iron, handy. Ironically, while the First law remains to this day immutable, skilled alchemists can (and frequently do) defy its corollary. The effects are often much more unpredictable unfortunately. When possible, Alchemists will generally follow this corollary, simply because it makes transmutation much easier.

The Second Corollary; Sympathy: This corollary states the following: “like begets like”. Thus, it is easier to make say; a table if you already have a table at hand. But by no means necessary.

The Third Corollary; Sanctity of Soul: This corollary states the following: “The Soul holds no material before itself in value”. It is unknown exactly why, but by some curse the Soul seems inimical to change by Alchemy, in that it impossible to resurrect those who have died. Once the soul has “moved on” it cannot be coaxed by any means to return. Attempts at resurrection often prove fatal to the Alchemist(s) involved. Those who survive experience Animus Porta (see below).

The Closest equivalent to resurrection is that if done quickly enough an Alchemist can bind a soul to an object. The soul then possesses said object, much like a ghost, until the object is destroyed, or the binding holding it in place is absolved, This requires blood of the person being bound to accomplish. As the transmutation performing the binding is done in the beneficiaries’ blood one cannot use pre-constructed Heraldries for this (see below).

Due to how the body and soul interact, attempts at transforming living beings are extremely difficult, far more so then equivalent transmutations of in-organic materials. It is interesting to note however that this interaction does not seem to interfere with Alchemy when used to heal. Perhaps it is because the soul resists any change which would result in deviating from its natural state, an example of Homeostasis. This raises questions as to why resurrection is impossible.

Alchemic Heraldry: Also called the Transmutation Circles or simply Heraldries. Alchemic heraldry is crucial to utilizing alchemy. The origins of the system remain unknown to this day. However, it is only when the alchemist’s talents are focused through Alchemic Heraldry that matter can be manipulated. The exact effect is dependant upon the heraldry used, but can range anywhere from fixing a broken clock, to raising a stone tower. The more precise the Heraldry, the easier the desired effect is to produce.

Alchemic Heraldry acts as a Proxy-Gate, directing the power that creates the transmutation effect we associate with Alchemy. This is why some form of Heraldry is necessary.

It is said that a legendary object known as the Philosopher’s Stone is capable of bypassing this law, as well its related Corollaries. No proof as to the existence of such a stone has ever been found.

The Fourth Corollary; Pre-construction: Because of the complexity inherent in creating the necessary heraldry skilled alchemists sometimes utilize pre-constructed heraldries for certain powers. These pre-built Heraldries allow alchemists to become much more battlefield capable. Unfortunately, while these pre-constructed Heraldries save time, they are difficult to use, and can only be used for specific things.

The Fifth Corollary; Animus Porta: Experienced when an Alchemist tries to perform Resurrection Alchemy. Animus Porta is the true Gate, the one that indirectly powers all Alchemy. Only those who have seen the Gate understand that the Alchemic Heraldry is a mere mimicry of the true gate. Mere exposure to this force imprints the mind, forging a permanent link to the Gate. This link allows the Alchemist to generate a Alchemic Gate, a framework of energy which serves the same purpose a Alchemic Heraldry.

Usage: The various laws and corollaries of Alchemy aside, knowing how to utilize alchemy is only half the battle. Creativity and a high degree of scientific knowledge are required to make the things created by Alchemy actually work.
