Vilya yawned, going back over to Tura (Who was already asleep) and lying down against her side.
She thought happily. Days of camping out with only Tura had made her sleep very light and it was beginning to take its toll.
She closed her eyes, listening to the quiet crackle of the fire and waiting for sleep. The sound of the flames was almost hypnotic although it never followed a pattern, which was why it puzzled her when she suddenly picked one up.
A quick, almost inaudible pattern that sounded something like...

Vilya opened her eyes and glanced at Sai and Kin in turn. Silently she mouthed the question 'do you hear that?'

Stratus saw Vilyas inaudible words and was able to understand her. He very slightly nudged Sai, who was almost asleep.

Souun thought back with a mental sigh.

He thought back to Sai, then to Tura

((I fixed it. >.> Sorry))

Kin was laying face down with his head rested on his crossed arms. He was merely resting his eyes, Kin only actually slept about three hours a night and Vix is always on guard at that time. Vix felt vibrations of footsteps above while curled up underground.

Vix warned Kin.

Kin's eyes shot open, the golden hue of his eyes luminated from the darkness of the night as the cat-like pupils darted around, scanning every movement that could be seen in the direction. Kin thought to Vix as he begun doing so.

"I know your there, stop hiding." Kin said in a fierce tone as he pushed himself off the ground and high enough into the air to land with his feet onto the ground which was of not much effort since Kin does not weigh very much. Kin's facial expression was slightly off-base, filled with intent to kill and not straight and unreadable as it usually was.

((Was that post better than I have been posting lately? Or the same? ))

((Good post ^^You judge your work too harshly.))

Vilya did not stand, but put a hand gently on the handles of her scimitars.
Tura woke to Souun's thought, but her eyes remained shut. She sent a confirming thought back to him.

At once the magical energies of all in the area lit up in her mind. She saw the serpent underground, and not far from him she caught the colored energy of a new spellcaster.
It was this picture she sent back to the feathered dragon.

Raidek stood still a moment, the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end, Sh*t... He knew eyes were on him, How long have I been here? The spell must be almost out. Ignoring them for only a moment longer, he pulled out a small sack and grabbed what food he could, shoving it in, and closing the sack with the small rope attached to it.

Tying the sack to his waste, he looked around, and suddenly he could feel as the spell ware off, his form becoming clear again for all to see. His foot slid back as he made himself ready for a fight if one should come about, the back of his palms resting on the middle of his lower back ready to grab the hilts of his hook swords.

Hes stealing food? What a fool. Kin thought to himself in amusement at the sight. "Carcer." Kin said and lights of bright yellow glowed as a cage formed around the man and then the yellow cage-like prism became fully solid into silver steel that dug into the ground and all around him, leaving him trapped. "What are you going to do now?" Kin asked in a cocky tone of voice as Vix circled underground a few feet beneath the trapped man, waiting for the order to strike.

((Blah, am terrible. >.<))

Raidek smiled, though not visibly due to his mask. He leaned against this confining barrier and untied the sack, helping himself to some of the food he had taken. “Did you think this feeble contraption could hold me for long.” Laughing slightly he ate some more food; he had needed it badly and already you was starting to feel rejuvenated. “How long should I let you keep me here...hmm?” Raidek had consumed the contents of the bag already, kneeling down, he began to pick up rocks and put them into the sack. Oddly, it would seem, he began to hum a tune: deep, dark, and solemn. Tying the newly filled sack to himself yet again, he stood and pointed to the front of his enclosure with his index finger touching a bar. “Igneus cuspis...” The tip of his finger melted the silver away where he touch, and he quickly made himself a door as to conserve his energy, which on complete the spell disapated. Then as the chunk of cage began to fall forward, he grabbed it, hurling himself out of the cage, spinning, using his body weight to launch the piece of cage at Kin, landing on his feet, and his hook swords soon drawn ready to fight.

Sai thought to himself when the thief appeared, though Stratus heard it nonetheless.

Stratus thought back, realizing that neither of them had the energy left to put up a decent fight. Until they got some sleep they would be merely a liability in combat. This battle would be up to Kin, and Vilya maybe as well.

((As a way to regulate power among our characters I have decided certain characters are more proficient with certain spells. Meaning that through the course of our characters training in their past they all learned the basic spells and manipulation thereof. Such as the five major elements: Water, Fire, Earth, Air, and Lighting. All characters know these and can manipulate them at will in basic ways like making water freeze to ice, using fire to burn an opponent or to light a campfire, raising the earth or creating an earthen coating over something, making the wind blow, or creating a lightning bolt. There are some spells that are unique though and such should be understood as harder to learn. Some of these are: The teleportation spell that Sai uses, The speed spells that Kin and Minatsuki use, and The invisibility spell that Raidek used. These spells are more exotic and we must assume that at some point in these characters pasts they underwent special training in order to master them. All of this is really saying one thing: Our characters are not all powerful and they are not all knowing. Keep track of the more important spells that your characters know, because they should only know a few spells of significant power like those.))

A loud clang echoed through the clearing as Vilya caught the metal bars on her scimitar, deflecting them harmlessly to one side. She stood straight, lowering her blade and tilting her head slightly as if trying to follow the stranger's thoughts.
"That's all you wanted? Food?" She could not hide a smile as she shook her head.
"You know, if you'd asked...I would have given it to you."

Tura sat where she was, the ring Tor had stolen closed in one talon. She focused and began to bend and shape the spell that it was infused with.

attacks. I will also sew a sticking spell into it, all you must do is activate it should you have use of it.>

(( I guess I don't have to block the steel cage since Vilya blocked it. >.>))

It was not suppose to keep him there, I made him show me one of his skills in front of my eyes which gives me another advantage. Kin thought to himself as he admired his trick.

Kin said as he began to regain his usual state of mind.

Two rise to fight me...

He could feel the will, the want to fight pulsing through Fenrir, but he had to focus on the task at hand. Raidek knew he was low on energy despite having regained that little bit back, he was sure on having to abandon the fight, but why not give them a small taste before vanishing. Remember keep it simple.Using the hook sword in his left hand, he plucked the sack of rocks from where they were tied and threw it into the air. Turning, Raidek jumped as well, bringing the sword in his right hand through the bag, letting the rocks be used individually instead as a whole, he was almost horizontal like a barrel roll, but not quite allowing him to kick a rock with each spin, sending a barrage of rocks speeding towards Vilya. Upon landing he quickly sheathed his swords and looked to Tura, “Levitas telum! A bolt of lighting shot through the night towards the Gryphon, and no more was it as the words left his mouth had he his left hand on the chained sickle at his side, ready to use it. I must remember to quit before I use the energy I need for my escape, but I can hold for a little while longer...

Teh, a simple little lightening spell and rocks won't beat her, not after seeing that spell she did earlier. Kin thought, expecting Vilya to have everything under control. Kin began to lose interest in the individual and left the situation to Vilya as he walked away and sat down next to where Sai was; an expression of irritation was written on his face.

Kin thought to Vix as he folded his arms and studied the man, mainly interested in his swords and invisibility spell. He did use that invisibility spell... That does take skill but, other than that he isn't any stronger than Sai.

((That's how Kin is. *Shrugs*))

"You aren't going to help her?" Sai asked when Kin came and say near him. "She must be low on energy from fighting those two goons."

Stratus thought to Sai while still keeping his vision turned to the stranger in their camp.

((I forgot to mention in my last post that when using those unique spells like invisibility or teleportation they would use up a lot energy. Sais teleportation spell is so energy demanding, in fact, that he would prefer not to use it at all.))
PostPosted: Sat Oct 27, 2007 11:26 am

"Well so is he, after using that invisibility spell." Kin said quietly. "Don't worry about it, he will most likely run away anyways." Kin assured Sai.
I will interfere if it looks like she will lose, I might be able to use the girl still.

Vix thought to Kin. Kin sat and ignored Vix's warning while watching Vilya and the newcomer.

Tura only needed to hear the first word of the spell to know it. Not being able to counter magically she rolled, and as fast as the lighting struck she was away and on her feet.
She threw the ring.
Vilya saw it coming out of the corner of her eye and went to catch it, no sooner had she moved a foot the barrage of rocks rained down upon her. She turned, jumping clear as the first landed in the dirt, sending a shower of soil over half the camp. The others she was faster with, ducking and weaving through them, not bothering to deflect them with her blades, it would take too much of her energy. Vilya knew she had an advantage in that department, She could easily wear him out and defeat him that way but...

The ring began to fall, it glinted in the light of the fire, giving it away to Vilya's keen eye. She leaped as the last rock came spinning toward her. Without thinking she swung her leg around, connecting with the stone's surface and pushing off of it. Her hand stretched out and closed around the tiny silver band. The rock hit the ground with an explosion of earth and Vilya landed silently after it.
She stood, a scimitar in one hand, the other closed around the silver ring. Her expression, usually cheerful and calm was cold as ice.
"You attacked my companion, when she was lying down, not ready or willing to fight." She lifted the scimitar, looking directly down the length of the blade, straight at the man's throat.
"Not impressed." She said flatly and in an instant she charged.
