im a college waster at the moment, i spin fire and Promote clubs to get by in the world.
im also a martial arts freak, and performer.
and i enjoy RP a lot.
oh and please forgive my occasional spelling and grammar errors and what not. i'm a bit dyslexic you see, and have some trouble with my reading and writing =)

Good Evening, All. It is my pleasure to "meet" you. I look forward to the interaction these forums can provide, as there isn't much of an outlet for steampunk-enthusiasts in the great white north that is the Upper Midwest here in the Colonies.
I have been an avid gamer since college and have recently begun developing a steampunk LARP that I hope to have ready for beta testing by the Spring. (We'll see, though. The narrative process is taking quite a bit longer than I originally anticipated. Who knew that creating the history of an entirely new, but eerily similar world would be so difficult?)

Hey everyone, I'm Johnny, I also go by JQ.
I've graduated college with a BA in broadcasting, emphasizing in audio recording/production. You can talk to me if you got music projects going, I'd love to help. =) I'll have a indie-rock/darkwave/dark cabaret-ish kinda music project soon (I hope it will be ready to launch by mid-2009).
I am planning to go back for an MA in arts. I'll be opening a lil' Deviant Art later. My art style is very much influenced by Victorian to 30's era kinda stuff, among other things.
I also will have a post-punk/goth Shoutcast soon (which will also play stuff like dark cabaret).
I particularly became fascinated with steampunk through music acts like Vernian Process, Emilie Autumn and Abney Park. Since then I've been picking up many more groups in the style.
And haha, omg, you guys are talking about Arcanum - I never played that game. I remember wanting to get it but never did, and then years later, I completely forgot the title and it's bothered me until you guys said the name, everything came back to me and I'm like "OH s**t", lol. I'll have to find a copy later.
Anyway, thanks for letting me join, glad to be here =)

Hello, You may call me by my username, or Kissaki. (I use them interchangeably now.) I am an avid fan of anime, and I got into steampunk when I came across a few steampunk movies, and decided to create a steampunk-influenced manga. I like drawing and painting (mostly stuff influenced by anime), martial arts and collecting martial arts weaponry as well. Hello all and thank you for accepting my request to join c:
I became introduced to Steampunk mainly through movies and animes (Wild Wild West, Last Exile, etc.)
I am 17, just entered college and don't let the avi fool you because I am male irl.
I like to roleplay but it takes me some time to get into it.
I am more interested in the military side to steampunk than anything else.

You know, I don't think that there is much in the way of military steampunk.. You might want to check out Full Metal Alchemist or Valkirya Chronicles or something like that?
Maybe even the original War of the Worlds!
