"If I may quote you.... If you see a Lunite child don't hesitate to shoot it or you will
find a knife drawn across your throat the second you turn your back...end quote."
That i believe you delivered to the Hunters at the inital briefing in dealing with the
threat of Lunites. By your own words you stated that children 8years or younger
were capable of killing personell.

Based on that and you and your seconds in command on other occasions stated that the "Lunites" must be eliminated. And that message was carried on to the Hunters that have signed up with you. It was particularly apparant in the way the
Lunites were killed( ripping them apart, taking thier heads and making an altar and trophy out of them). And there was to much cross chatter on the com-link to get any clear answers.

I discovered the room with the children in it after finishing a short intense fire-fight
with Lunites. Based on your initial statements on 'Lunite' children and the fact you gave no orders to capture any children before the operation started I 'eliminated'
potential threats to myself and the other Hunters.

And may I remind you 'sir' that though i participated in the raid....I'm NOT a member of your Hunter unit. And the Geneva Convention never took in to account
Lycans, Vampires, Demons and other creatures that go bump in the night; that's
our job. And as far as 'Rules of Engagement' they don't exist..not in this war. "I WAS a soldier and have seen my share of horrors from all sides.... WAR
and that's what we're in is a blur on our conscious and is NEVER neat and clean."

"I carried out my duty to protect the 'unit' no more ...no less. And if you thought you could change those children after seeing thier slaughtered mothers/fathers...
sisters/brothers you are 'naive'" Sir. "If you find my conduct distasteful/horrific
I will leave Haven and operate on my own."

Will sighed and rubbed his hand across his eyes. Yes, those had been his words. Words that were coming back to haunt him. She was right. God help him, but she was right. She'd done this based on his orders. It was his fault. He was the leader, everything was his fault. "Alright Bridget. You're right. Those were my orders. The deaths of those children are my responsibility, and I shall surely burn in hell for their deaths. Although...."

Will's eyes flashed with suspicion and anger. "I would very much like to know how you knew of things you were never told. You didn't join us until after that briefing if I recall correctly. Furthermore, explain to me how a trained soldier was threatened by UNARMED children. My orders about Lunite children were concerning those found on the battlefield as active combatants, not as non-combatants. Those who won't fight don't need to be killed. Do you honestly believe that you were in danger from those children?"

tyler walked up to the infermary as he opend the door he heard the talking from inside. "uhh man, i shure picked a bad time to check up on you sir... sorry sir... but ms... i don't recall us ever signing the Geneva Convention. just wanted to point that out. uhh will if i could have a moment of your time after your done... there are some things i would like to talk to you about..." tyler excused himself from the room quietly. on the way here he had gotten a phone call from one of his friends... his informant had been killed. even skined alive... he needed to ask if he could investagate the murder... however he knew very well that this would be a touchy subject... or at least he felt that way... he some how had a nack for coming into or walking into things at the worst time.... hence just now.

I learned of your briefing from my own personal sources.... I'm not government
if that is what you think.. But it is amazing the amount of info is out there if you know the right people.

Lycans are never helpless...they're stronger and faster than humans and even in human form have claw-like finger tips. An 8year old is a match for about any adult male...now multiply that number and the human is dead meat. Adolescents
are much more deadly as you should well know.

There was a mixed group of them in that chamber(all different ages) and the answer is yes.... If I had given them a chance they would have swarmed me and with thier numbers I would be dead now. You seem to see them as a human children... well they are not. They are a deadly predator species, just as vampires
and demons are, and Humans. So yes i considered them viable targets and dealt with the situation.

Battlefield? there is no designated 'battlefield' in this type of war. It's fought above and below the streets, in alleys, woodlands, estates and slums; etc.. And blood is spilled on both sides. YOU are the one that said the Lunites must be eradicated not I or any other hunter. You've called for a strike at thier last place of refuge with one mission to finish them off...if you wish to try and save the children there then say so; then reap the benefits when they are old enough they'll turn.

Tokeru left the room. He went towards the workshop and got out his materials. He started working on a immortal radar. After a few hours he had made quite a few of them.

"I should hand these out to the strike leaders. And i should modify this sword"

He took out the sword and made the proper modifications to it.

Once he was finished he went back to Will's room.

"Sir i have something you might want to see."

Will looked at Bridget sadly. God, why couldn't they see? Tokeru, Bridget... They were blinded by the noble goal of their speicies' survival. They were so blinded that they didn't see the truth presented right in front of their eyes. "So they're a predator species? Nothing but animals? Is Tyler an animal? Is Krii'Ouse an animal? Is Myythern an animal? You've talked to, eaten with, and fought beside honest to God lycans, but you can't see them as sentient beings with just as much intelligence as a human. Might I remind you that nearly thirty percent of all lycanthropes worldwide are humans who were infected, like Krii'Ouse. Lycanthropes aren't evil, Bridget. The members of the Lunites are, but because of what they choose to do, not because of what they are. Those children could have been rehabilitated and sent to live with one of the friendly tribes of lycans."

He rubbed his eyes tiredly. "More importantly, you have unknowingly compromised the security of this group. There are thirty of us, Bridget. There are well over SEVEN HUNDRED lycanthropes in New York City. How do you think we've managed to survive? Because we have strict peace accords, treaties, and in some cases loose alliances with most of the major tribes. We deal mostly with renegades like the Lunites, lycans so far beyond the lycans own morality that their kin decide that we're doing the rest of them a favor when we put those rogues down. If they find out that we slaughtered children, most of the tribes will declare a blood feud against us. Do you honestly think that we can survive something like that? If that day comes, if they find out, we'll have to hope that they will be satisifed with my death and my death alone. You called me naive, Bridget. Well here are the cold hard facts. In order to kill a dozen children, you may have very well sentenced over thirty men and women to die. From now on, unless they are armed or actively attacking you, you are not to kill any children. You are only to take means to protect yourself. If a situation like the Lunite children in that room occurs again, seal the room so they can't get out and radio for backup, act like a soldier, as a part of a unit, not some lone avenger. I hope my orders are clear."

He paused for a moment then looked in her eyes. "Just one thing to consider. If they were really such an immediate danger to you, then why weren't you injured worse than you were when you entered that room? The room was small and there were dozens of them. If they'd been a danger to you then at least one of them could have reached you before you killed them all. So if they were as dangerous as you say, then why didn't they take you down when you started killing them? Just a thought."

I'll answer you in the following orders :

1) My not being overrun and the less severity of my wounds was do to me using the doorway as a choke point so only a few could attempt to overpower me. My body armor took the majority of the damage accounting for fewer wounds. The XM 18's firepower went a long way to prevent my being overrunn. I also used a concussion grenade to daze and stun the enemy allowing me to be able to eliminate the rest of the potential threats.
2) My conduct as a soldier in the mission was well in the perameters you set up by
your own initial briefing. My kills were quick and clean including the lycans I orginally persued. Unlike more than several of your Hunters that took Joy in the
killing and took trophies, despoiled the bodies, and cried out in glee about thier kills I would worry about them 'Sir'
3) When there was fighting in the Lunite's place....there was no orders given, no co-operation or anything that looked like unit tactics. Each Hunter there fought alone not as any form of a cohesive unit
4) By your own words why didn't the other Lycans take direct action against the Lunites and take responsibility for thier action or inactions. Instead they got the
Humans to do it so they could beat thier chest and cry out in rage if something went astray. THEY KNEW THAT THE CHIDREN WOULD FIGHT AND THEY JUST DIDN"T WANT TO GET THIER COLLECTIVE HANDS DIRTY.

Now if you'll excuse me I have my gear to collect...I'll leave what belongs to your group. I guess I'll just work with a friend of mine and wage our own brand of war
against the supernatural. Bridget came to attention and gave Will a parade ground
salute and left the infirmary.

Will finally sighed in defeat. "Very well Bridget. I see that I can't convince you or earn your respect with this conversation. I won't stop you from acting upon what you feel is the proper course for yourself. I simply urge to to caution. If you alienate those who would be your allies, then you death is certain. And I don't want anymore of my people to die if they don't have to. You're dismissed."

Bridget limped back to the armory where she turned in all the equpiment she still
had of thiers. She grabbed her satchel but left what was left of her body armor behind with a note pinned on it... For William.

Then with a sigh she left the the HQ and went up into the bar... Bridget ordered one
drink (Southern Comfort staight up) then went on her way. She stepped outside
the bar and hailed a taxi and gave him her address.

Now that Bridget had left, Myyth went into the room to check on Will. He seemed a bit off, but after what she'd heard.... Well she was surprised he was holding up so well. He needed to rest, and heal. Stress wasn't something he needed more of right now.

"Will, you should take a break. Len has it all well in had, they can go speak with him." Checking his leg she continued. "At the very least, try to wrap it up quickly. The sooner you rest, the sooner you'll be up and about." With a last, meaningful glare at the hunters still in the room, she left.

Will sighed in frustration as Myyth went over his injuries again. Damnit, why was everything falling apart like this? The Hunters could very well rip themselves to pieces over this. And there was nothing he could do.

"Yeah Myythern, I'll rest. And... if you never want to work with or even hear of the Hunters again after this, I understand."

Leaning back, he picked up a phone by his bedside. Quickly he punched in the number for his own office. "Hello? Ah, Len, good to catch you there. You've had a chance to review the file? Good. Listen, you need to attack and you need to attack immediately. Tomorrow is the start of the full moon. We need to finish this beofre that happens. Now get to it."

Hanging up, he closed his eyes and forced himself to relax. Before he fell asleep, a prayer went through his mind. Dear Lord in Heaven, protect and guide us. Grant us the strength to change what we can, the serenity to accept the things we can't, and the wisdom to tell the difference. Save us Lord. Save us from ourselves.

After spending some time with Julia Jaffar headed back to where Will was. Jaffar looked at Will for a while."Well....judgeing from the look on your face things with Bridget went well. Well I guess I'll crash here for now if you don't mind."

After returning from the residences. Tokeru went back to HQ.

"What no one gave the radar to will? damnit."

He picked up the radar and went to will's room. "Will look at this, i made it yesterday. It's an immortal detector. Or Imdar. get it?"

Myyth smiled somewhat ruefuly at Will saying she might want to leave. He thought one rouge hunter was enough to scare her off?

"Will this has worked out better than I hoped. This is unfortunet.....but I don't see it as refecting bady on you or the group as a whole. It reflects badly on her. Besides that I thought I was going to have to defend myself from your staff fairly often. They've all been far better then I expected. What you've done here is amazing, and in the end, will save lives."

"Now rest......and Tokeru perhaps you could take it to Len?"
