Progolo

"Oh..." Progolo said, also going pink. "Well....I...I just remembered what I came in here for." He gestured sheepishly towards the cupboard. "Sugur. I ran out. I don't like to take things from the lodge, though. It feels like I'm stealing it," he finished bashfully.

Kala decided that, from this point on, she liked nuzzling. (In her mind, things like that had to be firmly decided.) She didn't miss the way Blanche held her ears back, and suddenly found herself wondering how the other Aerandir had known that rubbing ears made the water come out. Without even considering that Blanche didn't feed the way she did, she concluded that she must have had a lot of experience with eating. Man, it must have been hard with such a short beak!

Kala was liking Blanche better and better every second. Not only was she a fun play-mate, she was an idol! She ought to, like...give her something for being so cool! But what?

She withdrew from the nuzzle, reaching around herself with her long neck to pick up that stupid feather that had come loose. Huh, maybe she'd like this? She took it in her beak and held it out to Blanche.

Eating had always been, and would always be a breeze for Blanche. A short beak allowed for well-defined tearing of whatever food passed in her direction, and the option was always there to swallow it whole should she needed to. Nuzzling was just a plus to this situation, Blanche had always rather liked nuzzling with anything and everything - including that stuffed Mouse.

She would have made a sound in question when Kala moved back, had it not been for the fact she was being offered a bright red feather. The gryphon tilted her head in suprise, of course she'd like the feather! But something to give back, that was a problem.

Her wings flapped against her sides for a brief moment, that was it: a feather for a feather. Something to remember Kala by. Turning on the spot, she pulled back her front paws, black beak nestling in her mass of feathers. There had to one loose somewhere...

Emi, being just as bashful as Progolo, seemed to shuffle on the spot there and then. Between slightly darkened furry cheeks, she smiled despite herself.
"Think of it this way, if it's not used then it's going to waste," Emi commented, her usual straight way of thinking mind working. She'd taken far more than a few bags of sugar off the lodge, after all: if the milk or cheese wasn't used then it would just be thrown away at the end of the week. Plus, she didn't ever take much.

"If that helps the matter at all." It was her only offer, in truth- she didn't really know what to say. Without anywhere else to get food delivered from, the lodge was number ones only source of food income. It wasn't much every week, but it kept three creatures full.

Aha! Finding a loose feather, Blanche tugged. With her black beak tugging, the feather came out without much problem. Leaning down, she dropped the offered feather at Kala's feet, happily taking the red one from her with a delighted click. This Aerandir, despite being so different, was just as cool as False - and had now retained a high friendship status with Blanche. True, they couldn't roll around on the floor, but they'd had just as much fun together!

Maybe the big people would let them go out again some other time. This time to the beach, or across the mainland even?

"Wark!" Kala chirped with glee, taking the immaculate feather. Wow, it was so pretty! She reared happily. She ought to show this to her big person!

Bobbing her head to motion Blanche to follow, she cantered over to Progolo and butted him in the shin.

Progolo blinked. Huh, that was a pretty good way to think about it. Taking the sugar was a sign of graditude, then, not thievery... "Good point," he said, raising his eyebrows and nodding. That notion made him feel alot better, really.

Just then, he felt a pang in his leg. He gasped, more out of surprise than pain, and looked down to find Kala nudging him with excitement. Something glinted white in her beak.

"Tell me you didn't rip that out of Blanche's wing," he said with exasperation. Kala could be so pushy, it was alarming...and he wouldn't put her past pulling another Aerandir's feathers out because she was cross. He looked over at Blanche for signs of a tussle, but the only thing he saw was a pleased gryphon with one dark red feather.

Huh?

"So it seems," Progolo agreed, his face indicating his surprise. "Isn't that nice?" He tried to get a better look at the feather, but Kala would have none of that. It was her feather. She pranced out of his reach, tossing the feather up in the air and catching it as it drifted back down.

Progolo gave up. It wasn't as if he'd never seen a feather before; they were all over his house. But there was something about the way the light caught that gorgeous white wisp...

Something at the back of his mind prodded him.

Sugar.

Right.

Sighing, Progolo straightened. "I suppose I ought to be heading back...I'm going to have a very cross fairy in my house if I don't hurry up with this sugar. It was very nice to meet you, Emi." With this, he smiled and extended his hand.

Kala recognized the "Ritual of Parting"...and she was beside herself. They were LEAVING? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy? Progolo was going to have a very cross gryphon if they didn't stay! She clattered over to Emi and Blanche, fussing.

"I'm sure the sugar should bring your fairy around," Taking his hand in her own furry hand, Emi shook it gently. Pulling herself up to her feet, the furry woman flicked her ears back to her head. Best do it before she forgot all together. Taking a few steps over, she posted her own list (an identical one to the one set up in Cetalu) up on the cork board, hanging the dangling pencil down beside the ever shortening list.

Emi's Item List
Hello everyone,
My Aerandir (Blanche) has recently received the go-ahead that she's about to grow.
For her to grow, I've been given a rather long list of items I've got to collect, but I'm afraid I don't have half of these lying around the house.
So, if you do have anything spare on this list, I would be greatly obliged if you could help out.

1 long piece of fabric
Seven Long ribbons
Some gemstones
A small piece of metal
1 thin leather strip
Some beads
1 Feather

If you do have anything you'd be willing to pass over, could you please drop it in (or mail it) to number one?
Thank you!
Emiko.

Tail flicking behind her, Emi pushed the final pin in, one large ear flicking against her head. There, now hopefully the last four items would be found sooner or later. Turning her attention back to the pink Aerandir, she smiled gently towards both gryphon's.
"We'll come and visit you again soon Kala, don't worry. As long as Progolo doesn't mind that is,"

They had to go? Blanche's wings flattened against her back. Quickly running back over towards her new found friend, her ears flickered back to her skull. Emi seemed to think it was fine...Standing on two paws with as much ease as the white gryphon could manage, Blanche gently planted a nuzzle to the gryphon's feathered pink cheek: before promptly parking back down onto the floor.

She watched them as they left, golden eyes following their every move out of the centre. Poor Kala, though she'd see her again soon - she'd make sure she did. Sliding down onto the floor, Blanche laid down onto her stomach - her furry head resting back onto her paws.

Arianna came by a little while later when it seemed the area was cleared out. She wasn't sure what she had expected coming here again. The last couple of times there had been people here. But it looked like she was alone for the time being. Ah well. She could do what she needed to do and head home if that seemed to be the case.

Rawiya was trotting along behind her, looking extremely bored. She had no idea why Mommy had dragged her away from her fun and games to come here. Well, whatever...maybe there would be something interesting to do in this strange place.

Ari walked over to the cork board, blinking in slight surprise as she noticed some other notes. Oh! It looked like others were looking for items too. Well, it looked like she could be of some assistance to some others! That was good to know.

She took a tack and posted her own message next to the others.

Wanted List

Hey, it's Arianna here. Most of you probably don't know me, but Wiya is ready to go and I'm looking for some things. Perhaps you guys could help out? I need the following items:

3 ribbons
2 feathers
A piece of twine, wool, or thin rope
A bracelet

If can help me out that'd be great! Thanks a bunch.

-Ari

Ps. I live at #7 if you can't seem to find me. Feel free to drop anything off there.

((Note: List is for IC purposes. x3 I've had people volunteer for all items. <3 Thanks. ))

They'd seen Ari enter the lodge ahead of them and decided that it was a good chance to catch up on things again. Li hadn't seen Rawiya in some time now, and Tahja felt the same about Ari. Though they often saw one another out and about it seemed like finding time to sit down was a much less simple task.

In Tahja's hand, incidentally, was a letter similar to Arianna's, a list of items necessary for Li's quest neatly printed by hand. Li was currently resting on Tahja's shoulder with some bit of effort to remain balanced, but a steadying hand from the young woman assured he would not fall off.

The door of the lodge opened up a moment later as Tai's somewhat free hand turned the handle and pushed. She offered a friendly smile upon spotting her friend at the board.

"Seems like we had the same idea. How have you been, Ari?"

Rawiya turned her head and let out a sqwawk of delight as she made a dash over to Tahja and Li. She lifted her front hooves for a brief moment when she stopped in front of them, seeming rather excited. She nickered at Li, flapping her wings about slight. It was good to see her friend again and now she wanted to play!

Ari turned around and beamed, seeming to share Wiya's feelings, "Tahja! Li! Long time no see!" She turned around to see the two of them better. "I've been pretty good...how about you guys?" Concidering they lived on the same island and only about a house or two away they hadn't really visited each other much, at least, not long enough to really count for something.

There was a brief pause between Rawiya's greeting and Tai's reply in which time Li's feathers and fur bristled in surprise. As soon as Rawiya had settled down again, though, so did Li. He rustled his wings in return and gave a soft mewl as a hello, leaping from Tahja's shoulder to settle on Rawiya's back instead, purring loudly.

Tai smiled and reached a hand out to pat Rawiya's snout gently with affection, then moved to greet Arianna properly.

"Busy, two bickering teenagers and a witty familiar make for a rather interesting living environment, isn't that right, Li?" She grinned. Li screeched in agreement.

Rawiya whinnied softly, her ears quivering with joy. She couldn't purr after all. She nudged her beak againsts Tai's hand affectionately before quickly turning her attention to Li. Apparently this is where she would rather have it anyway. She sqwawked in delight and swished her tail while nipping playfully at his fur.

Ari chuckled, "That does sound a little hectic. But then I suppose Wiya is probably just as hectic as that when she wants to be." And it seemed the aerandir wanted to be most of the time. Ah well...never a dull moment, right?

Li's purring continued, a delighted paw coming up and patting her beek before resting there in greeting. It was good to see her again too!

"That's the joy of parenthood."

A rare grin accompanied those words. It was full of mirth and a scincere warmth, though, and Tahja was sure that Ari felt the same.

"So, it seems like we both had the same idea... Rawiya is ready to move on to her next stage as well?"

A softer smile, and Tai looked to the letter in her hand, lifting it for Ari to see before she'd put it on the board.

Letter from Tai
Hello, friends.

I realize that I've not actually met most of you yet, but it seems like our little Aerandir, Li, is ready to move on to his next life-phase. We've some of these items around the house, but actually finding them among some of our bits of clutter is prooving to be a little more difficult than we anticipated.

Any help or advice at all would be greatly appreciated, and if you need anything then you can come find us at lot #13! Thank you in advance for your kindness!

Rawiya sqwawked and began to trot around gayly. Ohhh, the delights of seeing a friend again! She kept her gate light, though, so as not to startle Li or have him fall off. That'd be no fun at all!

"Ah...yes! Exciting, it's it? I really can't wait!" Ari beamed. She reallyed did look thrilled. She blinked thoughtfully, "Oh! I bet I could give something to you for Li...I've got tones of junk laying around the house. Perhaps we can go there and see what I can find?"

Tahja seemed equally enthralled by the idea, as though Ari's outward excitement were contagiously creeping up on her. The Aerandir at play were making quite a fuss in the background, cleary having a good time.

"Really? I'm sure that we have something on your list lying around the hut as well. Why don't you stop by after we leave your house while we're at it?" She smiled gratefully. One item less on her list would be a wonderful relief! She'd make a note to come back to the lodge later with some items for other people's lists as well, as it seemed there were more than just two of them questing now.
