(Since Vahn didn't respond very clearly to my pull, I'm going to go with him falling over.)

While Mooo was no Tomorrow or Reiko, a solid tug on anyone's ankles, especially using the full force of Mooo's powerfully-developed-if-not-cut trapezius, deltoids and lats would have been more than enough to yank the Cyclops impersonator onto his side, Mooo's hands grateful as all hell when he let go of Vahn's boots to feel the sudden chill of the air (at least compared to the heat of the boots) to continue his assault.

Pushing off the ground with his right hand, which hurt a hell of a lot, Mooo winced at the pain shooting up his arm, bearing with it and gritting his teeth as he raised his left elbow, lunging about eight inches off the ground so he was over Vahn's legs, driving his elbow down toward the man's hip--there really wasn't much Vahn could do at this point besides roll over and take an elbow either in the a** or in his crotch, or try and put his hand or arm in the way--unless he was gonna fire off another wave of destruction from his colon, if that were somehow bleeding.

Of course, a properly-executed getup elbow took less than a second and a half to complete its motion--give or take a fraction of a second due to Mooo's wince of pain--and in that time, the chunk of wall was right above Mooo poised to land on him and most likely add a fair amount of impact to the attack, wherever it should land.

"Shi--!"

With him having landed on his side, and shot off the fire blast from his right eye-- just that sole second in of itself was enough for action to be taken. Vahn's right arm was still free (considering that to shoot out the chunk of rock threatening to crush him, the right side of his body would have had to been free), and it was that right hand that shot up straight towards Mooo's face.

Of course by the time taloned fingers would be reaching him square across the eyes, Mooo would be able to briefly glimpse the transforming state of Vahn's entire right arm; The Hand of Efreet, along with the intense heat that accompanied it.

It was one hell of a vicious uppercuty 'shoryuuken', and definitely out of retaliation on a more primal level.

And the wall would come crashing down upon both fighters apparently, further obscuring any result.

Quote:
Hand of Efreet(Right forearm)

This gauntlet uses the elemental power of fire to strike down enemies with flaming retribution. Although extremely powerful, the Hand requires that Vahn fuel it's power with his own blood.

An ashy black object, matching the look of the fang, as well as the greaves. It looked like a tube of sorts covered from one end to the other with small runic etchings in a dark crimson color, sort of like blood engraved into the metal of the object. Near the center of the object toward its top half was an orb of sorts, it was a dark red. The orb, known as "Eye of Efreet" responds to any source of flame, magical or not and feeds off of it.

When wielded by an unworthy wielder, that person will lose their arm. Forms a symbiotic relationship with host, whom can hear the 'Flame'. The gauntlet can appear as an ornate looking bracelet, when wielded it expands across the forearm of the wielder, shredding clothes, covering the flesh like armour. The armour seems subjective as to the level of threat. Faced against mortals, it will usually generate less armour than when faced against a demon of hell.

The Ice Bishop facing Shouyin was rather taken by surprise by the walls suddenly turning against it. It canceled the firehose spell and tried to conjur some kind of ice armor for itself, but basically just got the ever living crap pummelled out of it. However, the other Ice Bishop had taken notice of Shouyin and chanted a spell while the beating began. Those few moments were enough time to get off a moderately strong spell. Basically it was a flash-freeze, attempting to encase the invader in a solid block of ice.

And as Shouyin was just about to get through the wall, placing his left index and middle fingers on one edge of the opening he'd made, he was suddenly encased in a large block of ice! He might've tried to get a shot off prior to being frozen, but it was a little late for that now.

However, working under the assumption that being in a frozen prison didn't necessarily mean you were entirely frozen yourself, the half-golem routed another torrent of elemental control out of those two patches of flesh touching stone, and focused on giving the second Ice Bishop a good ol' fashioned structural a**-whopping from within his ice cube. All went well, and that one'd be down to, Shouyin free to smash his prison to pieces from the outside, or possbily have it disappate, depending on how the Shade's magic roll.

Sadly the half-golem still had no idea why they were fighting monsters.

((I say a firm no to retreating.))

No one had shot at her? Not even tried to hit her? Oh, well, in that case...

Flare looked around for an enemy target. She spotted one...which quickly vanished in a patch of darkness. Some of the shades were in there, so that was no good...firing into the dark at your allies equals bad. And the only other enemy she could see was encased in the block of ice...

Which left the wall itself as her only enemy. No, thank you, she wasn't going to try to burn the fort down even if it was wailing on them.

Instead she stayed toward the center of the room, away from the walls that might attack. Her hand began to glow even brighter, and she watched the patch of darkness and the block of ice...waiting for someone to roll out of the dark, or the ice to break. Whichever came first would get a fireball three times the size and power of her typical ones (which were the size of a basketball, so three times that volume) thrown squarely at them. To say the least, it would be difficult to dodge something that large in such close quarters.

If no enemy rolled out of the dark, and the golem didn't break out of the ice, a change of plans would be in order. But that would come later.

Attacks coming up from the ground, no matter what element they have on them, have a distinct disadvantage--they have little to no leverage. A good upwards punch, palm-strike, slap, clawing strike, or any other form of hand strike was torqued off from the hip to the back to the shoulder--and Vahn was just swinging with his arm at this point. No matter his strength, Vahn's leverage was screwed--thus severely limiting the actual power of his attack due to the laws of physiology working their magic.

Once it hit Mooo, it wouldn't do much, if anything--the nails scraped across Mooo's face, Mooo grimacing as he felt warm blood splash down his face, his elbow ramming into Vahn's hip fiercely--as Vahn's arm finished its flail, the heavy stone wall crashed onto them, pinning them both in place and further driving Mooo's elbow into Vahn's hip.

Of course, there was more to this--Stryphe's little blast of energy pierced the wall, drilling into it and then exploding, pelting Mooo with a shower of dust and debris, further cutting and scraping him--major injuries they weren't, but the concussive force of the blast hit Mooo like a fist, tossing him a few feet to a bouncing halt.

He could barely move at this point, but his ridiculous stamina kept his eyes alive, Mooo slowly dragging himself up to one elbow, bleeding from a corner of his mouth and above his right eye in addition to the thin scrapes across his face and the various cuts and baby-gashes across his upper body--his right sleeve was gone, with a good chunk torn out of the lower right half of his shirt. Dirt and dried blood caked the shirt, Mooo panting heavily as he tried to get to his feet again.

Shithunk! That axe slammed into his arm, hard. The rook couldn't lift it, it just hung dead. Would have been his head, if not for the arm being in the way during the blow. It just hung there, leaking dark matter.

People with sharp things were bad. Immobile squishies were more fun.

While the stones chipped the ice prison away, that left an immobile, nice, soft target, with only a layer of ice, rapiding going away, to protect it. Golem or not, a nice, heavy rook fist came flying in, right towards the man's head. No war cry this time. No, just pure fistage.

Al, and Ben, the shades that had attacked Jacob pulled back, pulling their swords out of the tangle quickly. They spread out, moving to either side of the rook, holding their blades in a defensive manner, trying to buy time for the heavy hitter to take out the golem man, sacrificing their bodies, if necessary.

The other two shades bolted after the fleeing Jacob. One came in from the left, the other from the right. The right shade brought his sword in a low, knee high flourish, while the left came in with a diagonal chop, from high and to Jacobs right, towards low and his left.

It was about this time, that the Bishop's crew, and Daniel's crew reached the gate. In came the pawns first, four more of them, followed behind the wall of dark matter meat, Daniel, Con, and the Bishop.

Hakan did much the same as Flare, except he stayed partially covered by the stairs. There were no clear targets right now, but possible threats still.

Hakan held the arrow steady, his eyes on both targets, charging more and more flame into this arrow. Man, when it hit, the resulting blast would so some damage...

...but that was later. You'd get that description when it came.

The gunfire quickly brought down one of the knights- the other two took instant flight. Their reflexes were quick and their bodies were capable of making great acceleration time. However, they could not outrun the swiveling of a gun.

Ultimately, one of the Knights actually made it into the building virtually unscathed. One lay crumpled near the corner of the fortress, the other lying prone not far from the door. It was difficult to say wether it was truely dead or not.

Truth be told, it did have some life left in it...

Fortunately all that crashing had the effect of taking care of the monk's annoying slips of paper, while apparently felling both Mooo and Vahn.

His right eye was gone to s**t, his entire body felt like it slammed into a ton of bricks, thanks to the ehavy ape that had just fell atop him, and he was dangerously close to giving in and just unleashing black flame all over the place.

But fortunately he was still conscious.

While Vahn strenght category didn't even dip into the Tons, let alone 4 tons that Mooo could lift, he was still as strong and sturdy as they came. Strengthwise, Vahn was more in Captain America's range, than say-- Thor (using the easiest medium to quickly draw about comparisons).

And if Captain America could survive taking hits from the hulk (Ultimate Avengers), then Vahn could withstand Mooo's blows, for some time yet.

After all, he was a natural bleeder. Har, har.

At about the same time Mooo went flying, so did Vahn, cleared out even more from annoying slips of paper and skidding along until his back smacked right against a broken outcropping of a wall. It indented slightly, but supported Vahn up.

His left eye never left Mooo though, even as hell continued to break loose all around them.

"Guy like him... really pisses me off. Too bad we didn't meet in a bar first.!"

Growling, he shoved himself slightly out of the wall, staggering a bit as he tried to regain balance and deal with the tenderness of his hip. His right fist clenched tightly, and smoke rose off his arm. Scrapes and a slight gash along his back made his flesh slick with blood, blood that just roiled off into wisps of black flame.

Now things were going to get hairy...

The Null mage barely had time to avoid a direct hit from the empowered warpstone by suddenly floating to the side. Sadly it was still mostly caught up in the blast, and thrown down onto the battlements with some pretty severe wounds. The blast also managed to knock down the two archers nearby, which was all the opening anyone would need if they were going to try and get inside. Provided they could brave the other two archers anyway.

Speaking of whom, while the first shade had been taken by surprise by the pummeling stone fists, the second was smart enough to learn from it's brothers mistakes, and began a complicated dodging and weaving routine. A shield of ice formed around it's arm, which it used to parry most of the blows.

The sword-&-board wielding shade furthest to Jacob's right took the blow to the head like a man, and payed for it with its life. The others manage to avoid or deflect the other attacks and bega to give pursuit, and then halted. The surviving Null Mage concentrated for a moment and made an attempt to dispell the patch of blackness with it's own command of the same element.

The archers all waited for a clear shot to anything.

"Guh..." Mooo's vision wasn't as spotty as before, but he was still dazed--the world swam and spun and turned into pretty colors and Vahn grew four heads and extra arms, but Mooo had finally pulled himself to a shaky stand, his elbows resting on his knees, arms cut in various places, but Mooo not feeling any of it at this point--if he could say "ow, my everything," it would be a very true statement.

"Have fun walking--" Mooo coughed suddenly, "--with that," Mooo chuckled weakly, his left hand gesturing with great effort to Vahn's hip. "So what say we--" he coughed again, "--finish this s**t?"

Mooo stuck his left hand out, pressing it against a nearby wall to stabilize him as he squared his stance, taking in a deep breath, holding it for a few seconds, and then sinking into a low, open stance, his elbows tucked in near his ribs but his fists down at chest-level, with his left leg placed before as usual. Not his regular stance--but right now, Mooo would have to bet it all on a few well-placed strikes.

Truth be told, it did have some life left in it...

As dead shades commonly melted into piles of sludge... as was the case with the first that had fallen... the man holding the minigun paused only shortly after seeing it fall before pumping a few more rounds into it.

However, in that time he had expended most of the ammuntion for the weapon. It would take a moment to reload.

In the meantime, the three other UGH soldiers stepped out around the corner, surveying the area for other threats approaching from the outside.

Rising to his feet it was time, the spell had been consumed and now the energy has been redirected, shaped, mutated, what have you. In the end it ment that the sword was ready to unleash a pent up furry of a most rightious kind.

Unleashing the energy in a destructive slash that travelled along a flat plane about the twice the length that of the sword sliced through the air and cut into stone and mortar. It seemed the building already had some structural integrity problems with the explosions and other acts of random violence and destruction.

While not enough to bring the wall down all on its own the next action was sure to take advantage and give them another opening. A good couple of meters from the regular as Quin has ended up performing a rather small flank manuever in his attempt to get out of harms way.

But now was the time. Weaving the bands that made up the winds of magic as no other had displayed within the area Quin felt a chill set into his bodies. It started at his fingers and toes and crept up his spine. It sent shivers through him as he tapped into that infinite energy that was only limited by a person's ability to grasp it.

Formed together the bands became something solid, yet invisible. It was as though a truck had just slammed into the weakened wall, sending rubble spewing through the breach and dust flying, proving a rather interesting cloud cover.

Through the opening Quin came, giving a war cry that sounded very much like a rebel whoop.

Thankful that the explosion freed up his staff, Kami decided it was time to retreat back inside.

"Sorry Mooo, but i'll have to explain later."

He reeled his staff in and turned on his heel, proceeding to run through the entrance to the fort behind the reinforcements.
