She stopped dead in her tracks. Fire. She could feel the heat burning her lungs, it was her deepest and darkest secret, she'd told no one of it. But above everything else she feared fire. The color drained from her face and she backed up. She swung her sword around her trying to make it dissapear.

*Noticing the shimmer around the man, Aethi looked up and froze where she was. She hadnt been prepared for this. Fear filled her. Filled every inch of her being and rooted her to the ground. She couldnt move, nor could she removed the fear from her mind. Sweat broke out on her face and her hands began to shake.*

Draeken grinned then and kept his eyes locked with Aethi as he moved forward with speed that could not possibly be described. The next thing Aethi would know is that Draeken would be in the air in front of her and his right foot speeding towards her head. At the same instant, a second Draeken seemed to have appeared and flew through the fire to aim a kick at Ari's head as well. The second Draeken wasnt a clone, but it wasnt just an illusion either.

"Aethi!" She screamed. She needed to Find Aethi. Before she got the chance to, she felt a sharp pain at the side of her head and went flying. She landed heavily on her shoulder and her a cracking sound. She stood up slowly and tried to lift her sword. Her arm was useless now. She switched sword hands and closed her eyes against the fire, the flames were licking her body, she could feel it and smell the burning flesh she bolted foreward again and slashed at D.

*Aethi couldnt do anything against the attack and was sent face first into the ground twenty feet away. The eye contact was broken though and she was able to see Ari get kicked while being engulfed in fire. She shouldnt have let her come.
Her head spun and spots danced before her eyes, but she managed to well up enough fire to try and put out the fire surrounding Ari. At the same time she slowly stood. Her ribs ached and felt about to break.*

The fire around Ari would intensify as she drew closer to the second Draeken. It would suddenly vanish though as Aethi interfered with it. This only slightly displeased Draeken, but he would still exact more punishment upon the girl. Once again he would be in front of Aethi before the girl would realize it and send a hard kick for her chest.
The second Draeken ducked and spun around Ari as she came at him. His foot would then raise then arc towards her back. It would be a very painful blow if it landed.

As soon as the fire was gone she could see Draeken going for Aethi "AETHI WATCH-" She didnt get a chance to finish as she was kicked, she flew a bit then slid on the ground to a stop. She got onto her hands and knees and tried to regain her breath, she looked around for her sword, picking it up and standing slowly. Her body screamed to stop moving but she had to. "Or I'll never make it better..." She said under her breath. She turned and walked back to the second "Draeken" And brought her sword up, it dropped before anyone could finish watching it raise, if it hit It'd leave a nice long and deep gash on the outside of his Wing.

*Aethi once again lost her breath and this time hear several loud cracks as ribs broke. She lifted into the air then fell several feet from where she had stood. Her chest exploded in pain as she landed heavily on the ground. She tried to curl up into a ball, but that just made it worse so she just lay there sprawled on her back. Slowly though she was regaining control of her muscles and even more slowly her nerves. It would be a while before she would be able to stand again.*

The first Draeken disappeared then as he turned into a haze and melded with the second Draeken, once more becoming one. As Ari struck at him he moved as if he were water, surging beneath and past the sword and aiming a hard kick at her knee in an attempt to break it.

Aria's usuless arm dropped infront of the kick, taking most of the blow. But it still knocked Ari's knee from under her. She winced and rolled back and to her feet. She just had to keep him distracted, keep him away from Aethi. Keep her safe.

*Aethi slowly began to get to her feet while at the same time drawing in as much energy as her body could possibly hold. There was one way to end this, she knew, but the cost of failure would be high. She didnt care though. It had to be tried. She began to trudge towards Draeken with an arm across her chest.*

Draeken started to move forward once more, but stopped, his eyes looking bewildered then pained. He sighed and closed his eyes, raised his face to the sky and stopped breathing. There was at once a sense of wild movement around him as the creatures that guarded him surrounded his still form. Next came swirls of black energy, winding their way around him until he was fully encased in an oval shaped enclosure of the energy. It seemed he had used his body too much for how little it had recovered from the initial shock of the transformation. The energy surrounding him would be impenetrable and immobile. How long he would stay like this was hard to say, but ultimately, he wasnt going anywhere and no one was going to have success in trying.

Ari watched for a moment then trudged over to Aethi, letting her sowrd disspear from her hand. She grabbed her. "C'mon he's distracted, we need to regain our energy" She sounded tired. "Please Aethi...Before we get anymore beat up" Aria wasn't kidding either, her body was charred all over, bruises and cuts dotted the areas that wernt burned and her left shoulder was significantly lower then the other as if broken at the collar bone.

*Blinking at what Draeken did, she let her energy go and attempted to shield herself once more. She found it too much to handle and just let herself remain open to any and all scanning.*
Yeah...I think he may have...Overexerted himself. We may have at least bought ourselves some time. I need to scour my fathers memories to find something useful to bring this beast down...
*She leaned lightly on Ari. She was able to walk on her own, but it was laborous. She wanted to be back at the BC and to heal. Never had she been hurt like this. She didnt find it too bothersome, but it was inconvienient.*

She nodded. "Yea...Let's go" She let Aethi Lean on her without protest for a few mineuts before slipping an arms under her knees and behind her back and picking her up, she winced at the weight on her arms but got over it quickly "This will be quicker then walking" Her black and white wings appeared behind her and she took off, looking over her shoulder occasionally.
