Gendis was already ready with a reply. "I do. You seem to have forgotten that the batteries are in a gradual step formation, so all facing any direction can fire at anything in that direction. Limited to one plane as we are, that means they have a smaller window to fire at, and we can only dodge side to side. They can easily trap us with crossfire. I highly recommend that we ascend, so that we have more space to maneuver. As a tactical suggestion, though, may I recommend that we spread out and forget the walkers for now? They're not equipped for anti-aircraft, but this low they have a better chance of hitting us. Up higher, we'll be out of their range. Once we take out the batteries, we can engage them at will from the air."

(( Aye. It was dodged by the most precarious margin. Though I may think up a mildly nasty side effect. ))
"I'm right behind you, Em Seven," Zendia lowered her altitude to match Art's, pushing most of her power into her shields, with just enough in engines to trail just a bit behind him. As she did so, she weaved slightly to left and right, to throw off any possible targeters on the cannons.

((Next time the terrain set up needs to be establised before hand, beacuse I could arguee at this point that were apraching from the back)) "I agree about the walkers, but since their in a step formation all we hav to do is make it around back of them, and with all power sunted to sheilds and speed, that souldn't be a problem. Then it's a clear run over the hill. If some one with high evasive skills in the atmospere can draw their fire away that sould give us One free run, without to much hastel. So shift shield power to the starboard and make a short, quick turn and we'll be set. and if the batteries decide to track us the guy in air has a free run. If they split, we hit the ones that are aming at the other group." IT can work it just needed some revising. Were going to have to get togeather after this and and have a squad meeting reguawrding group tactics if we're going to take on Ruby squad in a head to head." Art was quickly apraching the last of the orignal two targets. rolling his starfighter as he droped two bombs he quickly got out of there as the tower began to collapse. "Now lets get our tactics strait before we hit the ones on the hill." And try not to get vaped while doing so.

Always concerned about others in the group, Gendis simply nodded. "Roger. I'll distract the guns. But watch yourselves!" Putting all power to shields and engines, he pulled up and careened into the sky above the network of turrets, bobbing and weaving through their fire. The more he avoided, the more that turned up to fire at him. Soon, the space around the rest of Gamma and Beta was clear of fire, all of it being drawn towards Gendis.

"Ok, While 9's up their distracting those guns we're going to go around back and hit them with a broad side. Gammas take point, Beta makesure no TIE's take any sudden intrest in us. Divirt all power to sheilds and engines untill we get to the back side of the hill, then give ourself enough power for your Ion cannons, cycle your Cannons as fast as possible, try to disable as many as possible. them Beta will come in and hit them with their bobms, them we finish with the walkers and Bug out. Shift all power now and ajust all shields to your starboard side. Good luck and we are now in Com. blackout folks." Art said. then he took off on his path twards the hill.

Gendis was tempted to release his bombs over the turrets as he had done on Tatooine. He was in a similar situation, but this time the plan didn't allow for him to have help.
He was deterred by two factors: he would need his payload for the walkers, and he might "provide friendly fire."
Dodging the turbolasers was hard work, but he'd manage. He didn't plan on dying yet. Course, it wouldn't hurt if they sped up the pace a bit.

Zendia nodded grimly at Gendis's suggestion to hit higher altitudes. With that, she put as much power as she could possibly divert to engines, leaving just the bare minimum for shields. Sith - one bomb left! she groanded inwardly. I'd better make it count! With that thought, she brought her Y-wing about in a wide arc, well out of the cannon's range. I'm going to have to go in for a sneak attack! For added fun, a few sparks issued from her left pylon. Great! What else could go wrong? Still, Zendia pressed onwards to one of the cannons that seemed to be firing in the other direction. She then dropped her penultimate bomb on it. Her reward was a fiery, smoking pile of scrap metal, which was the cannon. Now, to try to keep the TIEs off the others, she mused grimly, dialing as much power as she could to lasers.

Kefka glanced down at the HUD and saw three huge unfriendly blips.
"I don't remember this as part of the sim..." He pulled up after bombing the last of the walkers and saw three traingles of death approaching: Imperial Star Destroyers.
"New orders guys: this world is lost for the time being and we have no reinforcments. ANy damage we do, the Empire will repair immediately so theres no point in dealing with these turrets. Here's the deal, we go spacebound, fight our way past the ISDs, dodge the TIEs that get launched at us, and jump back to HQ, where we request reinforcments. Leader out."
Kekfa closed the channel, and pulled up, grimacing that the world would be "lost" had it not been a sim. WHo put those SDs there? He pulled out of the atmosphere and set his bearing towards the SDs, from where they would wreak havok on the TIEs and then bail out of there.

Zendia poured all the throttle she possibly could into both shields and engines. "I agree, Em Lead," she mused grimly as she prepped the Y-wing to climb into Corellia's outer atmosphere.

((Sorry about disappearing. Logar's been there, been fighting alright, just very quietly. *shrug* What's my number, and who's my wingman?))
"No argument here," Logar said in a bit of an awed tone, staring at the three SDs on his long-range sensor display. "Who put those up there?"
((edit: Nevermind the first question, I'm Em 4.))

Kefka boosted forward, as the first SD launched a squadron of TIEs. He dogged right, tilted left and fired, blowing the first TIE into the second. He then armed his ion cannon, and shot aa quick burst into one of the turbolazer batteries of the ISD, in hopes of disabling it.
"Allright guys heres the deal. Beta Squad, the three of you disable the 3 turbolaser batteries on the first SD, im figuring 3 ion shots will do it for one. Once thats done with, fight your way to the second with the rest of us, remember, don't blast all the TIEs, just the ones in your way. Gamma, your in charge of disabling the batteries on the second SD, and me, Z will take the 3rd with an assist by Orphan."
