Me and a friend first heard of it together, I think it was from looking up FMA on photobucket, lol. Anyway, we thought it was funny and kinda looked more into it. I ended up liking it but she said she thought it was funny but gross. Don't know if she was lying cus I said the same thing. xD

I stumbled across a very disturbing fanfic (...Iruka/Naruto...*shudder*). It was one of those fics where it's only 300 words and it's one giant paragraph. My first reaction was... "Wait, WHAT? How is that even possible?" I told my friend about it and she goes, "Oh I love yaoi! whee " I was was like, " eek " so...she got me hooked on it. It's been three years and I regret nothing. heart

My first reaction?: "Hmmm...that was interesing."
I don't exactly remember how I stumbled upon it, but it had to do with a loveless manga, boredom, and the internet.

I wasn't into it then, but after some years, yeah XD came back to it full-force XDDDDD

I can't remember if I posted in this.
But, I hated it. I thought it was disgusting && Repulsive && it would burn my eyes. D:
&& I now it's part of my daily routine. xD If my laptop ever crashes, I really hope that the guy who fixes it doesn't stumble across 1000 pictures of SouthPark, SuzaLulu, HunterShipping, AkuRoku, SoRiku, RokuSora, etc. I have. sweatdrop
Hahaha. I still can't believe on how much I dislike it. I was one of those bashers that I now dislike. But then again, I was 10.... it's been 5 years since... hmm...

At first Im kinda embarrassed about reading/watching stuff like these. Im actually worried that my friends and parents might hate me or avoid me. crying
But now I dont care anymore. Even if they find out or not, I'll still continue to love yaoi and support it as much as possible.

my first interaction with it was through some fanfic which i didn't know was going to be slash. it was pretty damn graphic. i remember blushing and turning red like crazy. as it got even more graphic, i minimized the window for a bit, and was like, "WTF. what did i just read? ;|" but i knew in my heart, that what i read was pretty hot. so i quickly maximized the window and went back to it...and yeah, that was my first reaction and the start of something beautiful.

Eh... My story? Well, my first encounter with yaoi was slightly more high impact because of where I live. I live in a small, close-minded country town where racists and homophobes make up most of the general population. Because of this, (and also because my entire family looks down upon homosexuals despite being non-religious), I was incredibly close-minded. Hell, I was too embarassed to even tell people that I was interested in anime until slightly more than a year ago, and I still pause it whenever one of my parents or family member comes in.
It was when I was around 12 that I stumbled upon yaoi and was less than a year after I first discovered my love for anime. But I guess since I loved anime and the internet and was only recently getting into fandom it was inevitable that I would stumble across it. I remember it because I had just started watching Naruto and went on Fanfiction.Net. Yeah... You can see where this is going, can't you? SasuNaru was EVERYWHERE. And I was just like... 'What? Isn't Sasuke the black-haired dude and Naruto the main character? THEY'RE BOTH BOYS!' Lol. I was disgusted and pegged as everyone as perverts. But eventually curiousity killed the cat and I decided to read one in order to find out what the 'fascination' was with it. I was completely humiliated and guilty to discover that I actually kind of... Liked it. Anyway, I was in denial for the first two years of reading it and still (somehow) managed to be a homophobe still. I eventually caved and although I still keep my love for yaoi carefully under wraps, I now hate homophobia and am comfortable with myself liking it. Heh. Yeah.

Ummm.... I remember back in middle school my friend showed me some on her potatobucket account. It was just shonen-ai so I thought the uke was a flat girl at first, LOL. But then we started looking at yaoi and... redface I found out. Loved it ever since. I don't know why.
