Wicked Starfruit On the other hand, I'm going to see 300 tonight, I'm really looking forward to it. Frank Miller's work has always been amazing. ooooh! let us know how 300 is! Kevin wants to go see it Monday (all evening shows M-Th are $6 a person at our local AMCs)

Kevin wants to go see it Monday (all evening shows M-Th are $6 a person at our local AMCs) we went last night to see it and all I have to say is OMG!!!! Okay...so it's not technically historically accurate . There's alot of artistic license in the film, but i didn't even care. It is visually stunning and I was completely enthralled thru the entire film. The cinematography was amazing. I loved what the director did. I loved the over exposed look of it and the use of colour was breathtaking. I loved the wasy the story was told. I really want to see the graphic novel it was based on. Even without ever seeing it, I could tell when they were showing us a specific drawn panel. I didn't think I would like it. I was afraid it would be too "cartoony" but it wasn't. It was overwhelmingly stunning imho. Plus there's a ton of six pack eye candy that made it worthwhile hehehe

I've heard nothing but good things about this film. I can't wait to see it. Some friends and I are going to drive up to Phoenix so we can see it at the IMAX theater. Roadtrip and a movie. Sounds like a good time to me, lol biggrin

jurupamae I've heard nothing but good things about this film. I can't wait to see it. Some friends and I are going to drive up to Phoenix so we can see it at the IMAX theater. Roadtrip and a movie. Sounds like a good time to me, lol biggrin did you go see it yet? we're planning on checking it out at the IMAX too. Should be interesting. The only things I'm worried about are the shots of below from above cuz Kevin has a fear of heights. But he's the one that said he wants to see it at the IMAX so..... this weekend we're hoping to go see The Last Mimzy. I can't wait!!!!

roocee I went to see Wild Hogs last weekend. I loved it!!! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Hehe, I heard about this movie last August when Jason and I took our anniversary getaway in the mountains, because there by the road on the way up were the leftovers from one of the sets they'd used (for a sort of waterfall/pond thing by a cliff which they dove into or something?) and we were all thrilled these stars had been here. xd A lot of it was filmed elsewhere in NM too!

I've been toying with the idea of a movie review blog ... mostly cuz I watch WAY more than what I post here. I'm a loser who has no life lol looks like we're heading to the drive in tonight if the weather holds and it doesn't rain. No Mimzy yet tho ... looks like it might be Zodiac and The Shooter...cuz there's no way in HADES i'm going to see "Dead Silence" that movie scares me too much

You know I've never been to a drive-in?
We watched Eragon last night on Blu-Ray, and I really liked it! My 14 year old cousin disappointedly told me when she watched it in Malaysia (while I was still reading the book and didn't want it spoiled) that it wouldn't have mattered if I'd have watched it because it didn't follow the book at all. That's SO not true! It totally followed the story of the book, and of course they always have to make detail changes in order for it to fit into a movie length and still make sense, and I like the changes they made.
