Hello, I'm NihilisticExistence. I've been on Gaia for awhile but on a different account, which I no longer use. I'm 15, and a sophomore (in 3 days I officially become a Junior) in Highschool. I believe myself to be a Psudeo-intellectual Hack, but some of the people that I hold in high esteem tell me that I am a good writer, so I continue writing. I am currently building an entire universe for use in a series of fantasy novels that I hope to write. My two biggest influences, though having wildly different styles are Kurt Vonnegut and J.R.R. Tolkein. I apparently use way too many run-on sentences in my writing.

I also have a love of music and movies, not to mention books but thats a bit obvious. Other interests include: Philosophy, Ancient Cultures, Ancient Warfare, Linguistics, and Programming. I have denounced my humanity. I am really bad at introducing myself. I often write in a disjointed manner, for that is how I think.

I guess thats all you'll ever want to know about me, see you all around. 3nodding

Hmm.... I think we'll get along just fine, considering that the only things I don't share in the above listed are your interest in Programming and that I'm very good at introducing myself and others--but I wasn't always. It'll come with time. wink

Hello, I'm Siyau. I'm 22 years old and live in Texas. I've been an avid science fiction and fantasy reader for a very long time. The first such novels I can remember reading are: A Wrinkle in Time, DragonLance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight, and the Lord of the Rings. I've always been a literary escapist, and I love fantasy settings the most.

Some of my favorite authors in the sci-fi/fantasy realm are (in no particular order): George R. R. Martin, Margaret Weis, Tracy Hickman, Philip K. d**k, Neil Gaiman, Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Orson Scott Card, Ursula LeGuin... I'm sure there are several more, but that's all that comes to mind immediately.

I have tried my hand at various kinds of writing of the years, and am known to write the odd short story every now and then.

That's about all about me that pertains to this guild - thanks for accepting me and I look forward to interacting with you all.

Hi, I'm elvenjewl (or Stacy, if you prefer). I'm 17 years old (turning 18 on Sunday, whooo!), just graduated from High School. I'll be going to the local University to get a degree in Anthropology this fall. I'm pretty new here, my boyfriend (DizzyJ) just convinced me to join. Yes, he's pretending to be a girl. No, I don't know why. Yes, if you say anything bad I will be forced to get violent. heart

I love love love to read. I read more then anybody else I know, which is kind of funny, actually, since when I was little I had such rampant ADD I couldn't pay attention long enough to learn how. lol

My favorite book is Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. If you haven't read it, then you better go do that, and if you don't I will find and beat you with a wet noodle. And not one of those little spaghetti noodles, either, one of those big lasagna noodles.

I write pretty much all the time. My latest and greatest is about this guy (no names yet) who, when he touches people, he sees the death they would have if they continued as they were. He accidently brushes up against this girl and finds out she is supposed to die later this week, they go to investigate and turns out there's this whole big plot thing.

Anyway, this is definitely going on for too long so I'm gonna go now.
