Obscurus I think I speak for the rest of the guild when I say: Welcome, Mirenithil! I can't wait to see your input on some of the topics floating around here. Thank you for the kind, warm welcome!

Name: Azure
Style: Divination ( of all sorts hit me up for some info on other techniques)
Special move: Cartomancy by 52 playing deck
As for what got me into these subjects, i've always kinda had a thing for the, back then, "scary stuff" my mom was interested int he paranormal so i just got into it. i didn't start dabbling in divination until i went with a friend to pick up a tarto set ( i think it was the basic rider-wyte ((SP?)) set, it even glowed in the dark lol) to avoid uncomfortable conversations of why i have an ouija board and tarot in my room ( my family is predominently christian though they are very relaxed in it) my late gradma betty-lou conviently allowed me the oppurtunity to eaves drop on her conversation about 52 cartomancy, thanks G-ma!
As for magick i've always been increasingly intrigued about it, and i'm even considering to do a sociology paper on the rising poularity of the old religions for my proff. as for my intimate knowledge it is rather slim. i've had the gnawing want to try it out but my ridiculously ingrained fear of what others thaought expecailly in my early and mid teens and the heretitary thought of what would become of my immortal soul ( prodeuct of being born in a long line of christians) after i die? (I.E. Heaven, hell, or purgatory)
But now that i'm out of the household and have a reliable retreat from questioning parents and what not i'm actually takign great consideration about joining the ranks of the wiccan, you never know unless you try right!
Now how to break it to mother....

My name is Tiffany, but everyone calls me Ippy. I'm 20 years old. I've always been partial to astrology, divination and the way of cards. I do not consider myself a psychic or a magician, just a girl who has high "perception by intuition or instinctive foresight". ;D
I currently have two tarot card decks. I used to have a self-designed deck until I sold it for a whopping $200. (Who would have thought an original handmade tarot card deck would be such a hot buy? Hahaha.)
I'm in the process of creating a whole new one. I'm very excited about the process as creating your own deck can be an enlightening, stimulating, and even entertaining experience.
I hope to someday be able to look more closely into runes, stone-lore, and herbal healing.

I'm Haze, and I don't believe in magic, psionics, alchemy, or any of that other garbage, so how I got invited to this guild is a mystery to me.
HOWEVER, I am a knowledgeable paranormal researcher, specializing in poltergeists. If anyone is dealing with a haunting, or a poltergeist, I would encourage you to private message me.

Nice to have you aboard, Haze. I'd say less then half the people in here believe everything we talk about. If it's something you think isn't true, feel free to think and say so. Golden Rule simply = "Don't be a jerk."
If you have some good stories about hunting the paranormal, though, feel free to contribute.

My name is D, Dee, Marx, or D_Marx. I'm a medium who's afraid to completely immerse myself in the gift, and hopefully talking more about the details will bring me out of my shell. I just like talking about tons of things, helping people out with their problems, being myself.
I'm a semi-regular at MR, and I love it there. I hope to love this place as much as I do MR.

Okay, I'm boeweizer in online space (not in real space). In real space I'm known as Cory. I have been in this guild since I noticed you could join guilds. My current project involves making a sword to command all the known mystical elements: right now, I'm in the research phase.
The spells I mainly use are shields.

I've edited your post so that you could better understand the level of orthography that is generally accepted to be proper in this guild. In the future, please remember, at the very least, to capitalize I's and use appropriate punctuation. I've also fixed your tags for you. Looking forward to seeing what you have to contribute!

Someone I respect (D_Marx) joined here, and I am rather interested in what this guild holds in store. I'm rather intellectual, and well I guess that's all I have for now.

At first I was rather amazed I got an invite here. Then I reread the wording. I suppose, "calm, considerate, and intelligent" is accurate enough. I just don't want people getting the wrong idea. Cause I'm not exactly nice. I don't have a whole lot of patience. And I have an extremely low tolerance for bullshit.
But ya know, that's my obligatory "I'm not a fluffy kitty" speech.
As for me, I tend to keep myself to...myself. I'm not really sure what I practice or how to define it. I tend to dabble and speculate more than anything, but I take the subject more seriously than dabblers and speculators tend to. So it's not a lack of seriousness or belief that keeps me from doing more. It's a concern of whether or not I can handle what opening those doors will bring.
My interests as such are varied. I am just as interested in what other people see and believe as much as what they can do and who they are. I like to know what drives them and how that interlaces with their environment and those around them. And back when I practiced more devotedly, many of my abilities lent themselves to this. Watching and feeling how the energy flowed, I would often attract stagnant or turbulent energies, which I would then "dive" into and level by level, get them to flowing again. But I'm most attuned to this in people. And as far as they were concerned, we were having an ordinary, albeit in depth, conversation... And afterward, many would avoid me, apparently shocked at how much they opened up to me.
*shrug* But that was then. I'm here now looking for answers. It's that simple. But I recognize we don't get something for nothing, so I offer what I can in exchange. Other times I may not be looking for an exchange, but merely somewhere to rest my hat and talk about my experiences in an open and non-threatening environment.
Either way, I've browsed through some of the topics and I like what I see here. Good grammar, polite discussion that doesn't take itself too seriously, and a general lack of fear here. The last one especially stands out.
So yeah...I think I will like it here. Assuming I won't be kicked out for my "not a fluffy kitty" speech. XD
...
Oh! And you want to know what got me into this? A desire to unify various schools of thought and retrace them back to the original truth. It started back when I wanted to know why people fight and little by little I began to realize that even though people have many ways of looking at things, their disagreements would oddly agree, and they wouldn't even notice. Like they'd argue over the trees and miss the forest. Then I started looking into the bigger things they fought about like religion and noticed a similar pattern. And I also learned that people suck at making up stuff to lie about, so everything must have a root in something true. But a while back that endeavor hit an abrupt end when my searching brought me in a direction I never expected. One I still don't know what to think of.
Well, this post has gone on long enough, so I'll end it. But feel free to ask questions if you want.

Welcome to the MPRILC, Nymshi. You've provided quite an insightful introduction post, and I'd be glad if you do find that you have an inkling to post around here. Also, that last little line at the end of your greeting about finding something you didn't expect is all-too tantalizing. Here's hoping we both learn more about it in the future, hah.

Hello, all.
Roundabouts Gaia, I'm Caleidah (Ka-lay-duh), but I'm fine with all of you lot calling me Paul. I was invited in through a suggestion by Obscurus, and I appreciate that very much.
I will lay this down now, I can be a cynical d**k at times. On top of that, I tend to be a skeptic first and foremost. If I get into too much asshattery looking for proof on something that you have claimed, I'm sorry. It's just what I do.
Apart from that, I'm looking forward to getting in on this. My own limited experiences with the paranormal are directly involving two female friends of mine that I've developed a mental link with, going as far a limited telepathy. One of those friends has regularly been able to pick my mind and has even been able to remotely manipulate parts of my body.
Anyway, I look forward to being a part of this community.

Salutations.
I'm Siobahn Telrunya (See-o-ban Tell-roon-yah), but that's somewhat on the long side, so I just go by Sio. Thanks Cale for suggesting I get invited, You're a sweetheart.
I can be skeptical of things, it depends on how honestly people come off to me. And the more someone waves their banner about how special they are, the less likely I'm going to believe something. But over all, I'm willing to give people and their experiences a chance, because I've had weird things happen to me, and I know I'm not an isolated case. After all, it's a funny old world.
I have some experience with the paranormal/supernatural, ranging back to when I was about 4 years old, and continuing on until now. I don't really know what to call what I've seen/felt/heard, so insight from anyone else would be welcome because I've just applied some basic terms. Like feeling my 'guardian angel' sit on my bed.
I'm looking forwards to learning more, about just about everything, because I simply like learning, and just being a part of the guild.
