*Kouta felt a sweat drop form as he watched the two go into the blissful moment. He now remembered that Katty did have a sweet tooth, but not this bad. That, and he'd never seen Uncle Chris like that....ever. It was an...interesting sight to behold. Looking down at the cake, Kouta slowly picked up his fork and probed it before taking a small bite* Hmm? *Much to his amazment, it was as good as their expressions made it out to be. Kouta chewed the first bite a moment and let it go down just before going in for the second bite. If food was going to be like this everyday, then life was going to be pretty good*

(::grins:: all this over sweets... ANYTHING sweet and sugary will do this to them.... and tea, tea gets Charli to calm down when nothing else does)
::nothing he does or says would get either of the two to snap out of their sugar haze until they've finished, and the moment the last bite of cake is gone, they snap back to their usual states, Chris to dignified and Charli to tapping the table::

*Kouta finished his cake first, having not quite enjoyed it to the extent of the others at the table. After the dishes were cleared, he watched as Chris took a breath and regain his composure. At the same time, Katty quickly reverted back to her...energetic self* The meals here are quite delicious. Is every meal this exquisit?

well, we do try to tone the meals down.... these are nothing like the grand meals my father prefered when i was young...
in other words ::cheerfully:: yes, they're all like this. if you ever want to skip a course or something all you have to do is wave it away.... we also have tea time, but that's not really a meal, just a... time to relax

The life style here is definitely a lot different than what I'm used to back home. *Kouta smiled softly then looked down to the table with small look of shame* I hope that I'm not a burden on you and those near to you. I'll do my best to earn my keep. *To be honest, Kouta had already planned on getting a part-time job to help make ends meet before he even came to the household. Even tho now he saw that it wasn't necessary, he still felt that he should at least make some contribution*

nonsense! simply do your best in your classes ::said firmly as Chris stands, Charli following his lead:: and keep my granddaughter out of trouble. we have more than enough room here and you're certainly no burden at all. now, if you'll excuse me, i have some business to attend to ::looks to Charli:: you'll not let your cousin keep you from your routine i trust?

I uh... *Kouta stood and extended a hand out out to Chris who had already turned and left* Y-Yeah... *Kouta lowered his arm and smiled weakly at Katty* Routine? sweatdrop

::makes a face as she links her arm with Kouta and starts to drag him out of the diningroom through a diffrent door than the one Chris had taken:: Papa had me take various dancing lessons from nine to twelve... to help with my... ahem... problem with gravity ::blushing slightly. Kouta would notice she's not nearly as clumbsy as she used to be:: we found out when i turned thirteen that if i don't keep practicing, i forget everything i learn and turn into a klutz again... oh, and Joe gives me self defense lessons for in case i get stuck somewhere without him there to help

O-Oh... *Kouta followed, or rather he was dragged, and listened intently. Katty didn't seem to fall on her face nearly as much as when she visited all those years ago* You do seem to have a bit more control over your actions now. *Kouta nodded and then became quizzical when this Joe came up again* Who is this Joe you keep talking about? Is he like a teacher?

::grins:: sorta.... Joe... Joesph, is... oh i know! you'll have to meet him evetually anyway! and it'll be sooo much nicer if i introduce you first and he doesn't think you're some poor soul i've dragged in off the street... he goes so annoyed when i do that "Miss Cathrine" he always says "how am i supposed to do my job when you're making it as difficult as humanly possible?!" usually after that i get a lecture depending on what i did... but he'll only ever do it when we're alone because he likes to keep the illusion that i'm actually in charge since he's on the payroll, no matter how many times i tell him no one believes it :;as she rambles, she leads Kouta up the stairs to the same wing and floor their rooms are, stopping to poke her head into the bedroom next to hers:: nope... must looking for me... ::and she promply grabs Kouta's hand and heads in a new direction::

Well, I just about am a poor soul off the street, right? *Kouta laughed slightly as Katty dragged him left and right* Oh, so he actually stays here with y-! *He couldn't even finish his sentence before Katty turned and dragged him off into another direction*

of course he stays with me... the only time he ever lets me out of his sight is when i manage to slip past him or we're in whatever house we're living in... something about the security being good enough that he can take a five minute break... ::winks at Kouta and says in a whisper:: that's when it's easiest to get away
I'll remember that ::a new, fairly deep voice comes from around the corner they're about to turn and Charli freezes, midstep, loosing her balance and tumbling into the man that had just stepped into their view (see the first page for Joe's piccie)::

*Kouta watched as Katty fell and his eye went wide as he saw the hulk that Joesph was. Geezus, he's quite the monster isn't he? I uh... *Kouta stumbled for words but quickly caught himself* I actually just relocated here today. I'd never heard that Catherine was taking such lessons, but they do sound interesting. I'd be honored to attend a session one day if you'd so allow. *Kouta smiled warmly, hiding his nervousness inside. To be honest, Joe scared the heck out of him. Katty on the other hand, wasn't exactly helping the situation with her faces*
