"With my feet planted firmly upon the lands of those who came before, I seek to create a better tomorrow for those who are yet to come..."Sera was basically incorrigible. He knew that she didn't like hospitals, medical stations, and the stale smell of such places, the sterilized atmosphere, always seemed to make her feel a mixture of unease and annoyance. Still, he had seen the gash on her arm and they needed to do something in order to sew it together before she could go back out and keep fighting unless they wanted her to bleed all over the place and end up getting a piggyback to the Palace on the back of a Shogun with a hole in his gut. But there were ways of pacifying her unease, or bargaining with her in a way that would get her to behave...temporarily, at the least. And nobody knew those ways, or had more options at his disposal, than Koichi. Which was why when he leaned down and whispered in her ear before he had an inkling what her response would be...but still, incorrigible as she was, he wouldn't have wanted it any other way. She was unique, strong-willed, and fiery in a way that complimented everything about him. He loved that about her...and he loved the way she could surprise him and steal his breath away with sudden kisses, looks that promised better things to come, and when she responded with a couple of those it really didn't matter if he could see the answer coming because it could still surprise him. She pulled away and he nodded with a faint smile, keeping her gaze until she turned to look at the doctor and get ready for the stitches to come.
"Forgive her, Doctor. I love her more than you could imagine, but she gets a little...carried away," he teased as he kept his hand on her shoulder, close to his side, "She forgets that we have all the time in the world after this to get carried away in a more appropriate setting." He teased her even more, knowing that it was rare that he'd get her tied down like this...since if she moved or fought back right now she'd rip the stitches and her own arm, and nobody wanted that. Of course, there were other times he might have her tied down, but that was for other reasons entirely and not something that he intended to share here. The work on her arm was nearly finished already, the doctor pretty talented with his hands, and if he prodded her much more...he might end up getting chased out of the estate rather than walking out to the city together afterward. ...Or else she'd chase him somewhere else entirely. One was appealing, certainly, but the other right now was necessary.
This city needed them, and no sooner had the doctor snipped the line for the last stitch than he stepped back and waited for her to stand, join him, and go do whatever it was that royals like themselves did in an apocalypse like this one. Saving people, taking territory, killing demons.
And there was a Viper out there, too, to deal with. One thing at a time. That was how they'd save the world...Quote: 37 Tokens

Sera Makushima  "Oh please!" the girl scoffed, turning to look at her boyfriend with a playful glare. "Carried away? You started, and you know it." It was usually her who did the teasing, but in these occasions where he would answer back with teases of his own... it did get her thinking of places and activities better left unmentioned. "Besides, I am a better patient than you, Mister-I-walk-all-over-the-palace-the-day-after-I-got-a-huge-hole-on-my-side." She nudged at him lightly, but stayed still the moment the doctor started with his work. "You are only enjoying this because I have to keep still."
A hiss escaped her as the needle pierced her skin. It was always weird seeing the skin being mended in such a way. Like some kind of torn rag or the such. Mashiro had been the one mostly in charge of the healing and mending wounds back with the group, and she had always hated it, but... it was easier with his useful ability. Not to mention that having Anzu around with her usual impatience and rashness was amusing to no end. Right now though...she had all the distraction that she needed...and in no time the doctor was done with the stitching, pushing back.
It took everything in her not to spring back to her feet and run off...Instead she graciously nodded at the doctor before rolling her shoulder and moved her arm, testing it. The bandage was tight...it would hold. "Thank you, doctor. Now, we'll be out of your way." She turned then to Koichi, a smirk on her lips. "Lead the way? We have butts to kick." The Amala Network was always a bit odd on his stomach. Not crazy enough to turn it up..but, not tame enough he didn't feel a bit woozy after it. And, as he found his feet planted firmly in the capital he let out a loud sigh of relief.
"Phew...still haven't thrown up." he called, getting a light nudge from his companion, as he started along.

 Youmu KonpakuYoumu stuck close to Nekura as they arrived in Tokyo, the Amala network not as rough on her body...But, always making her a bit..nervous.
There was always the worry they were being followed...and she wanted to be careful, in case someone tried to sneak up on them.
"This'll be one of the first times I've met the Shogun...when we weren't immediately in Life-threatening danger."
Or, preparing for an immense battle. Of course..They kind of were, but...
"I look okay, right Nekura? I don't want to give the wrong kind of impression on someone so..important.."
She was feeling a touch self-conscious...And wanted to make sure that if she was greeting him properly..He wouldn't think any less of her for her choice in attire....
Her hands held her blade at the ready, being prepared for a fight..no matter what came for them.
A small horde emerged at this, prompting the girl to reach for her sword, beckoning out a demon.

It was obvious for anybody in the room to see how his teasing inspired her, how her teasing made him smirk and think of a new way to get at her, and the way that they looked at one another as if they were going to eat each other before long eventually had the Doctor in the room finishing up the stitches and stepping back, coughing rather loudly again to snap them out of their little hypnosis with one another before asking.
"Would you guys like me to leave you alone for a while?"
...That, and the end of the stitching, was enough to earn a smirk from the Shogun as he nodded in the doctor's direction...not for him to leave, but his thanks. Unfortunately, as much as it would have been fun to explore all the naught ideas in his girlfriend's mind right here on the doctor's table, they had bigger things to do just beyond the borders of their land here. And they had very little time to get out and do it. He watched as Sera tested out her arm and was grateful when the stitches didn't rip on the spot and start squirting blood out all over the room. Good enough for now! He glanced at the door, and at Sera, and when she told him to lead the way he didn't need to be asked twice about the matter before the door swung open and they were back out into the Palace at-large, moving down the halls towards the front of the Estate. And it was there that he spotted a pair of unexpected, but most-welcome visitors awaiting him! Koichi's lips curled into a smile and he glanced back at Sera before nodding ahead. Their Ambassador to Okina City and Troitown had returned! And this time he had a familiar-looking guest, the one who had accompanied them on the 4th Day during the showdown with the Shomonkai and their self-proclaimed God! He recognized her immediately, and his razor-sharp memory recalled her skillful swordsmanship, how she worked especially well with Nekura fighting alongside her, and of course, her name.
"Youmu, Nekura, it's a pleasure to see you both again," he greeted them with a smile, dulled only faintly by a lingering ache from his still-mending wound, "Did either of you need anything while you were here in Tokyo? We have food in the dining room if you're hungry, straight from Ellie's new shop back in Inaba. Sera and I were about to return to the city to hunt down the Reason of Shijima Faction's members and repel anyone else who attempts to invade our city. It has been a constant tug-of-war at the walls since morning between our Demon Summoning Squadron and our enemies. This war is in full swing, and there's hardly a moment to spare, I'm afraid. ...However, now that I think of it..." He paused a moment, remembering something important amidst the thousands of tasks he had planned out inside of his mind right now and stepped forward, extending his hand to Youmu in particular. Nekura he had been introduced to before, and they had an understand, but Youmu was someone who had answered in his time of need without truly having a chance to speak to him. That mattered. It mattered because she loved her country, because she had a sense of justice to help those in need, and it mattered because he might not be standing here without her.
"Thank you for fighting by my side against the false God, Belberith. I suppose it might sound a bit out of place coming from me, here in a hallway, but there is something I'd like to offer you in return," fishing inside of his pants pocket, Koichi quickly found what he was looking for...it was a pin, a kabuto with two crossed katana resting underneath of it, all the size of a silver dollar and cast in pure silver, "In another world, I would give you a sword. But as we are currently suffering a shortage of high-quality arms, this will have to do."
With all the skill and familiarity of a true politician or leader, he clipped the pin to Youmu's jacket smoothly. Then, stepping back, he took a moment to confer upon her what he hoped she would understand was...about the best honor he could bestow upon her given the circumstances.
"For your service to the Shogunate and in defense of the nation, I declare you 'The Silver Sword of the Dusk'. As long as I am Shogun, which...to be fair, may not be long if we succeed...let this pin name you as a friend to the Shogun and a hero to all Japan."
Nodding at that, he shifted once more from his more regal tone towards the more conversational one he preferred with his friends. Pomp and circumstance had their place, of course, but now they had just one goal left before the end of the day.
"Now then, as Sera put it...we are about to go kick some butts," he smiled brightly, incongruous with his words but very...Koichi, "You are welcome to join us, if you wish."Quote: 42 Tokens

He looked better now. The boy smiled lightly, hearing the order from the Shogun, asking if they needed anything.
"I'm good, thanks." he called lightly, having picked something up before the journey..before the eyes appeared..and he could tell.
This was the kind of moment that Youmu was looking forward to. He didn't say anything, merely watching the girl accept her honor...And, then, the invite. The offer to join them, to kick butts.
"I think that sounds wonderful." he called, gently nudging Youmu. "Probably one of the most romantic double-dates I could imagine, in the post-apocalypse like this..yeah?"
He was ready to fight..and so was his girlfriend..

Youmu Konpaku, the Silver Sword of DuskYoumu had instinctively tensed up as the man appeared..The occurrence the other day with Belberith one thing...But, a moment of peace..After such a strife....
She stood at attention, even as he gave them their orders..and asked them if they needed anything. For someone near her age to be the Shogun...It was baffling...
Yet, she could feel a warmth in his eyes...Genuine desire to protect their country......And, as he gave them a rough overview...
The girl paused, seeing him move over to her.
"Thank you..Shogun Mori." she called quietly, shaking his hand firmly...As he thanked her for her part in fighting Belberith...And, then..an offer.
"Ah..you.." she started to lightly protest, before seeing it. The small pin....One with a kabuto helmet...and twin swords. She gasped softly, hearing him say he'd give her a sword in other times...And then, putting it on her jacket.
She could feel her heart hammering, and her excitement overflowing. The Shogun gave her a title....And a signal for what the pin meant. A friend to the Shogun...and a Hero to Japan..
"I....Thank you!" she called out a bit louder than expected, bowing down towards the boy deeply, in reverence. Yet, as she did...There was one more thing to discuss..

Sera Makushima The pinkette smiled faintly, taking Koichi's hand for an instant, squeezing it affectionately. Soon, they came across another pair of people she was glad to see again. She had seen Nekura before, but they hadn't been able to talk too much back then...and the girl, Youmu, had been helping against Belberith. She remembered them, and she was grateful for their help. Sera stood back as Koichi greeted them and did all the official spiel and all that jazz, before nodding and waving in greeting. "Nice to meet you again, Nekura. Youmu. Sera Makushima at your service." she grinned and winked playfully. "And it's a pleasure to have you here. The more the merrier."
At the mention of a double date, the pinkette chuckled, giving a sly look at Koichi. A date... She wondered when they'd be able to have a proper one of those. Have a nice dinner, perhaps take a walk in the renewed world, have ice cream. How she wanted to taste ice cream. She wanted to eat cake and wanted to taste burgers! And she wanted to travel! She wanted to do so much! And if they wanted to see this new world...they would have to fight for it!
"Students? Well, not exactly." How could they explain they came from another world. Schools weren't...exactly a thing there. Or at least, not the way they had been in this time. Of course she had learned from her parents...and they had taught her so many things from the the time before the Corruption...and Koichi probably had had more of an education considering where he came from, but... Thinking about it now, his family tree was fairly ludicrous by this point...what with his father having lived in the 1500s, had three children back then who sired heirs and allowed their family name to endure throughout the ages...only for his father to again reappear in a reincarnated form in 2012, wherein he lived another lifetime, had two more children with another woman, who themselves eventually were forced to travel back in time in order to save the time to which their father had been reincarnated in another world. And...was anybody else's heads spinning? To Koichi it was all as clear as day, but trying to explain that to the likes of Nekura and Youmu who were relatively normal in this day and age would probably be...problematic at worst, entertaining at best. The thought made him smirk when Sera tried to think about how to explain whether or not they were students and could only come up with 'It's Complicated.' as a response that wouldn't fry their brains. Unfortunately, or fortunately, there was a small pleasure them mischievous son of Mori took from playing with his friends in matters of the mind.
"There were no formal schools in the timeline that we come from. All of our education was handled individually, or in the small classrooms at the Resistance in Sera's case, and...oh, yes! Did I forget to mention that we're not from this world, but a parallel world's future timeline and that we've come back to protect the past from the Corruption that destroyed our future? Probably should have lead with that," he smirked playfully, almost as if to make them wonder if he was being serious or simply teasing them with this particularly hard-to-believe (yet absolutely true) version of their own history. He only gave them a few moments to think it over, however, before he was moving towards the door of the Palace past the trio of companions that would be joining him. As much as it would be nice to get to know one another, they'd just have to do it on the way out into the city. The war wouldn't wait for them to reminisce, now would it? He glanced over his shoulder and motioned for them to join him and talk on the way. "I'll tell General Okada where we're going on the way out. And, the fact that they'd survived the goddamn apocalypse....
He was a bit more receptive to the idea.
