StarlightSchism Lia Syuki Yeah, it'd definitely make things less awkward for how attached he can get to people, but then it'd be awkward for him to be a captured Pokemon. XD He can't win when it comes to awkwardness. At least he really is, for the most part, just viewing Sable as a sort of adoptive sister. It does, however, make the moments when he starts flirting a bit weird. XD Yeah. Most Pokemon just get the advantage of picking up a move they could only get once they hit their higher stages and dropping back down to something normal. Branch evolutions get the advantage of picking up moves from one evolution then dropping back down and either staying there or going the different route. Eevee... Eevee gives Pokemon with even the widest of movepools the middle finger and goes "I can evolve into eight different Pokemon and they're all different types! Cherry-picking for the win!" At least Jin can speak. Imagine if he couldn't communicate at all! I wonder how he and Hakuren would interact... I'm pretty sure if he made fun of Ren for wearing the illusion of a girl he'd tackle him xD My god, you could have Hydro Pump, Fire Blast, Thunder all on the same pokemon... I'm pretty sure if anything I'd just turn Ai back into an Eevee for Adaptation, but I like espeon too much so hyuuuurgh. Not to mention between Return, Morning Sun, and Psychic, she doesn't really need extra moves picked off from one of her evolutions... OH. OH MY GODS. Change your eevee into whatever type you want, slap a balm mushroom on it, instant move! And since it has access to some seven or eight different types... Yeah, if he had no way to communicate he'd just be randomly hugging Sable from whatever angle seemed easiest to get to her from. All while grinning cheerfully. Clingy would not even begin to describe him. XD And it wouldn't be so much making fun of Ren as, once he found out Hakuren was a dude, going "Aww... And here I was getting excited." Eevee has a total of nine types at its disposal as far as what it can turn into. Normal (unevolved), Water, Electric, Fire, Psychic, Dark, Ice, Grass, and Fairy. And I wasn't even thinking of Balm Mushrooms. @ _ @ At least it's only able to have a maximum of four moves at any given time like every other Pokemon... Otherwise people might as well throw their hands up in despair. Even without the Balm Mushrooms, you'd probably just need Heart Scales and some TMs to make things work nicely.

Thankfully he could talk, or else Sable would have a new neck accessory, and his name would be Jin. XD Also, thinking about the Jin/Jun mix-up again, a random thought popped into my head. After Jin's problem occurs, with the Rockets figuring out at some point during it that they were chasing after a Zorua, the same group of Rockets eventually encounters Jun. Remembering the Zorua and thinking it might be the same one, they immediately start pelting Jun with Pokeballs (if they thought Jin was wild for some reason) and nets when they see him. XD Probably does not go well for them in the long run. Yes... I think I'm just gonna stick with how I'm raising up this little one. Someone else can do the broken Eevee.

uh, actually, Everstones aren't meant to work on eeveelutions, guys. I recall it coming up in a conversation with spec when we were making the guild how it can be abused with the eeveelutions, and I guess in the move we forgot to put mention of everstones not working on eeveelutions.

I recall it coming up in a conversation with spec when we were making the guild how it can be abused with the eeveelutions, and I guess in the move we forgot to put mention of everstones not working on eeveelutions. Ah, okay. *is glad I just checked the OoC thread today* Considering all it said on the item thread for quite a while was that it devolved a Pokemon, it had only crossed my mind during that conversation how badly it could be abused with an Eevee when combined with the altered TM and Move Tutor pools for the various evolutions. And that was without the thought of someone hoarding Balm Mushrooms. But yeah, that's fine. I'm sure Eevee can be overpowered enough without that little toy. XD Kidding, kidding.

XD Yeaaaaah, although remembering the thing that keeps other Pokemon with highly diverse movepools safe did make me think that was already taken into account, and that was the fact that no matter how wide a movepool might be, any given Pokemon can only know up to four moves at a time. Unless, of course, you guys decide to shake that up at a later point. >.> But even so, it's still bound by however high the cap on number of known moves is made to be, and it's the same for every Pokemon. So while still broken by variety, at least the damage wouldn't be quite so bad. It'd just mean nearly everyone would want an Eevee. XD And no, by no means is this meant to alter your or anyone else's opinion, it's just me giving my two cents worth. :3 Still, aside from that miniature heart attack, I did like the idea as a whole. It gives a nice option for those people who really want Hyper Beam or Giga Impact on their Pokemon (and some other moves on occasion) but don't feel it'd be very in-character for their trainer to have the fully-evolved Pokemon for very long. It also offers some nice options for plots, especially if someone's Pokemon doesn't want to evolve under most circumstances. Or in the other direction, if people want the awkward moment of their big bad Gyarados going back to a Magikarp for a while. And most other branch evolutions aren't quite as bad as Eevee's, so while still dangerous territory, it is still fun for a change of pace of someone's Vileplume decides it wants to be a Bellossom instead. So still a good and fun idea, just a little less of the "Oh, s***" factor it had earlier. :3
