Aiming and firing was probably something he was going to need to get used to in order to become efficient. Still, he took two shots in quick succession (and without really aiming all that carefully) and managed to down a bat. It fluttered down, down, down to the ground while its partner continued to fly about like a crazed chicken let loose after getting its head cut off.
The thought pulled his lips up into a smirk.

Epithet cheered as his first shot came free, hitting direct and true into a bat that his finger tapped the trigger again and watched as another dart shoot off into .... nothing.

It was probably some sheer amount of luck that his next two shots' aim was clear and true, the darts hitting their mark and sending two more bats float down to the ground to join its brethren in the dream world. Kiin blinked and tried to make out his next targets.

A shot and a miss. The realization that he may have to re-gather ammunition a third time was bothering him, a great deal... perhaps, if he wasn't such a loner, he would have been able to complete this quest a lot sooner. He had to be more social.

Kiin was getting used to it, much to his amusement. And pride. His next two darts had taken down their intended targets without any difficulty, and the hatter hefted his weapon onto his shoulder for a second to inspect his work. Still plenty of bats to take down, he noted, so he readied his gun again.

Two more successful shots, and Kiin gave a smug, satisfied sort of grin. It was rare for him to show such an expression, and when he caught himself he slipped stoic back into his face and took aim again. He wasn't sure how many bats he'd already taken down, but he didn't really care anymore. This was... fun.

Granted, he was just shooting darts filled with tranquilizing tea, but still! He watched the bats carefully, as if choosing his next targets, before positioning himself for the next shot.

He "tsk"-ed when he shot a miss -- the first since his second dart, much to his annoyance. The next shot took down yet another bat, though he still didn't care to count just how many he'd already taken down. When Kiin raised his gun and tried to shoot again, though, he realized that he was out of ammo.
