As Tsumi moved passed the fog she couldn't help but look down as she came to the edge where there was nothing but a void beneath her. She would see the water trailing over the edge but couldn't see where it was going. This would be a terrible place to fall but still, she had to try.
As she rose into the air heading toward the closest island that gave off a glow of a blessing there was a sudden updraft the pulled her glider to the side. The wind was terrible here and it was likely going to make getting anywhere a challenge.

On the island he made his way to the shrine, eyeing the strange birds and symbols with curiosity.
Looking upon the three blessings, he reached out to take one and returned to where he began.
She found gliding to be rather pleasant, in an adrenaline pumping sort of way. She hadn't guessed herself a thrill seeker, but perhaps she was one? Hrm.
It was fun, maneuvering the bird thing. And a bit tricky. It was alright, for a new sensation filled her. There where whispers in the wind, and they seemed to call to her, to help her. She felt...brave enough to do this. A tiny bit afraid, but not of the fall or of crashing. No. She was alright, as long as she didn't fear.

The wind became more treacherous as Tsumi continued but she was determined. Her sights were set ahead even as the wind tossed her glider this way and that. Maybe this was a test of some sort to earn her blessing?

Again there was a terrible updraft nearly turning her glider over. It took her a little longer to stabilize it this time but she was still on course. At least for now.

Her flight was becoming more unstable, the wind more fierce. Each new blast of wind seemed to be pushing her further and further from where she needed to be nearly toppling her in the process.

She enjoyed the feeling of the wind as it sped by. Wisps of fog, and.. voices. She couldn't quite make them out, but they seemed to speak to her. She felt nice. Happy, content, and as though she had a purpose.
It was beautiful and tranquil. It didn't matter that she was gliding over an expanse of water and had never done this before. It was perfect. And she felt as though she were doing something right.

Tsumi was close, she could feel her victory. Just a little more and she would be there. The island was actually within reach but as she drew close a gust of wind stronger than before blasted upward and sent her glider rolling backward. In one terrifying moment she found herself falling once again, parting ways with the glider. She couldn't even remember what happened before but the sensation of falling was terrible.
Closing her eyes she waited for some kind of end but suddenly the feel of the air around her shifted and stilled. For a moment longer she kept her eyes closed but as she slowly opened them she found herself back on solid ground and....back where she started. How had this happened?

With the joy and contentment came the courage. It was back and she loved it. The fall was not something to fear, but something that was, and if she didn't fear it or look down on it, all things would be all right.
So it was that Rhryse, found her first experience gliding to be nice. And fun. Very fun.

And then the water was gone. Fog lay before here, with islands still in sight. The fog was eerie, mysterious. And the edge, where there was nothing but fog. Rhryse shivered, not wanting to end up there. Perhaps she shouldn't have come?
No. The islands below welcomed her. And one, the largest, was where the glow had been coming from. If she could make it to the island, all things would be safe, and she wouldn't have to worry about the edge.
It was then the wind changed. Rough and tumble. Rhryse grew worried. If she could just keep things steady...she might be fine.

The wind was gusty, turbulent. The air here was filled with chill, and she felt it against her gray skin as she tried to keep the glider on course. On course and from tipping over.
She was not yet afraid, not after the voices over the water. As long as she held the course, it would be alright.

It was far easier said than done, however. The wind that came up from below tilted her glider, and her, sending her nearly tumbling. "No!" She had to stay on course. She didn't like the look of the fog, or whatever lay below the islands. She could do this. She knew she could.
