Adrian took a deep breath, wavering slightly on his feet. "In simplest terms... I pushed out the rabies virus... with my own energy, which apparently healed the damage it had caused in the process," he said, breathing hard at first. He wasn't really certain how he'd done it himself, but what he said was true, though he was mildly amused when the wild dog let her pat his head and neck submissively. He concentrated and sensed almost immediately that they needed to hurry back. "I doubt you'd want your brownies to burn, and if you want to show your gratitude, head to my cavern," he said to the wild dog and Lillian, who to his surprise nodded as if it understood him, then darted into the darkness.

Lillian smiled as she patted the dog on the head and rubbed his neck. "You're such a sweet thing." she said to the dog before looking up to Adrian. "That sounds incredible. I wish I could have been able to do something like that when Roxy ate that floor cleaner when she was a puppy, though that would have been a bit odd and I don't think my parents would have been sure of how to react to such a thing." she said, thinking that there was something at home that she needed to do, yet couldn't think of just what that was, until Adrian spoke again. "Ohmigosh!!! I can't believe I forgot about those... Well, with all the stress and everything that happened... I guess anything can be forgotten... And I know Daddy will be right at the door when we get home, seeing as he doesn't like me being out after dark and if I'm with anyone, especially guys, well let's just say they'll be getting most of the blame, even if I was the one losing track of time... And I pray that he doesn't think like he always does when I come home late with a group of friends, including a guy..." she said, rambling, slightly repeating herself and fretting over what might happen once the two of them got home.

Adrian tilted his head with a slight shrug. "Honestly, I'm not even sure how precisely I did it... I just pushed the energy into the dog instinctively," he said wryly before he rubbed Lillian's shoulders gently. "If you want, I can get us to the Jeep quickly," he said quietly. As he spoke, he felt his shoulders itch slightly as he pushed off fluidly, using a nearby tree trunk as a boost to vault to the other end of the natural bridge.

Lillian looked at Adrian and said, "That still seems like it'd be cool to be able to do something like that, yet figuring out just how you did it would be very helpful. But enough about that I really gotta get to the Jeep." she said, almost ready to try sprinting across the bridge, yet she didn't as she heard Adrian saying about getting them there faster. There was no way that she'd be able to breath before she was pulled along, let alone say anything in protest, so she hoped with everything that she had that they'd not run into anything while Adrian got them across the bridge and to the Jeep.

Adrian silently agreed with her idea concerning controlling that very potent new talent. He carefully and gently scooped her up bridal style as he loped across the bridge as he accelerated swiftly until the trees around them were slightly blurred as he slid down, then crested the hill between the bridge and the pond in several rapid steps though he stumbled upon landing and twisted, rolling backwards without letting Lillian touch the ground before regaining his feet and turning before striding quickly towards the Jeep a few hundred feet ahead. He didn't seem to realize that he was much stronger and faster than before and that his senses were remarkably keen.

With her mind buzzing about all of what was happening in such a short time frame Lillian felt a bit dizzy, yet she wasn't close to fainting. She knew that her brownies burning were the least of her problems. She knew that her mother had probably already checked on them and they were more than likely done baking, though she couldn't tell just how long they'd really been gone. She gasped softly as she felt herself being scooped up by Adrian before feeling the wind in her face as they darted over the bridge. The trees were a complete blur to Lillian and she couldn't make much out while they were moving, though once they were stopped she had to blink a few times to register that they were nearing the Jeep. Unsure of if she should even speak she thought about how Adrian had said that he had some sort of psychic talents and she thought that it would be interesting to see if he could hear her thoughts if she tried communicating with him that way. 'Moving this fast is really amazing and could be really useful, although I'd probably end up running into a tree, wall or something of that nature if I could move this fast. Although, you seem to be doing a great job.' she thought, hoping that she'd not just talked to herself mentally, although it wasn't like she didn't do such things to figure out what she'd say in a conversation with someone before.

Adrian shrugged slightly. "It makes sense that the pain was most likely from my muscles and bones growing denser and stronger, so who's to say it isn't possible to enhance one's senses in a similar fashion?" he murmured, hearing Lillian's soft voice in his mind. He glanced up towards the sky, gauging the time they'd been out. "It's been roughly thirty five or forty minutes since we left, so in all likelihood it's possible that your mother may have already gotten out the brownies and cut them into pieces," he thought. Absently, he didn't really find the telepathic abilities strange at all, since to him it simply felt like using a finger or hand he'd not realized he'd had.

Lillian felt Adrian shrugging and soon after she heard Adrian's voice inside her mind. 'Maybe, though it was still horribe for me to watch and not be able to do anything to help you... And that sounds like it would make sense.' she thought in reply to Adrian. She placed an arm around Adrian's neck in a bit of a hug as she placed her head on his shoulder. 'Yeah, you're probably right. Mom usually does that when I put brownies in right before I have to go to swim practice, though I don't have to worry about that for a while. I just hope Daddy doesn't get mad about me being out so late, even if it's not actually all that late... To be honest if it's after dark and I'm not home, well let's just say that I can expect to be grounded for a week, though that'll only be in reality about half an hour after he's done lecturing me about being home before dark.' she thought, rolling her eyes at the thought of her father going on and on about how a pretty girl like her shouldn't be out so late at night.

Adrian gently hugged Lillian, letting her feet touch the ground. "Well, I can see his point about you being beautiful, though if he keeps you under his thumb all the time, it isn't a matter of if you'll decide to do something he wouldn't approve of, but when. I do get the feeling that his idea of anything he doesn't approve of would be... everything interesting," he thought with amusement as he took a couple of steps towards the Jeep.

Smiling as she felt Adrian hugging her, Lillian felt her feet touching the ground. She really did not want to have to drive home to end up hearing her father ranting on about things that she'd heard thousands of times before, though she felt that as long as Adrian was there she could deal with whatever words her father had to say to her. 'Yeah,' she thought, blushing some, 'But I just don't like him keeping me sheltered all the time... And you're exactly right. Plus everything that is interesting is precisely what he'd not approve of. It's not really fair, though at least I'm still allowed to have friends and go to public school. If not for that I'd have no friends at all, though I'm starting to think, since I met you, that all they were friends with was Daddy's wallet...' she thought, sighing as she walked to the Jeep, realizing that her 'friends', were not really and truly what she thought they had been.

"If you don't have any other friends, you will have us," Ivory whispered into both of their minds. Adrian smiled faintly. "There are always some like that, though there are others who prefer your company; I can't say either way when it comes to your friends for two main reasons: I don't know them the way you do and the simple fact that I actually have never gone to school... considering the matron at the orphanage thought of most of us as little more than child labor," he sighed, sheepishly admitting one of his biggest weaknesses freely without even thinking about it.

Opening the driver's side door Lillian nearly jumped out of her socks as she heard Ivory talking into her mind. 'OHMIGOSH!!! Why does everyone and everything have to keep scaring me... It's just not fair!' she thought loudly, before apologizing, 'Sorry for yelling, well not really, but still I guess I did... Whatever...' she rambled before saying, 'Thanks I guess Ivory, ma'am. And Adrian, I don't care if you don't know them like I do, seeing that I wish I never met some of them to be honest and I'm glad I don't know that bat or I'd give them a few words they'd not like. But anywho I-- I'll talk to you at the house and I do mean that I will verbally speak to you, due to the fact that I don't know if Ivory's still listening in on our conversation...' she finished, getting in the Jeep and slamming the door; thinking that was precisely the reason that she felt that having some sort of psychic ability could be invasive.

Adrian fought back a chuckle, rolling his shoulders. "I'm sure she knows where we are, but from her personality, I doubt she deliberately reads peoples' minds unless it were absolutely necessary," he thought as he shrugged when she mentioned speaking to him. He found it strangely adorable that she accepted more unusual things than most. He knew of a secretive FBI unit that referred to itself as the 'Special Crimes Unit' and almost all of the members had psychic abilities. He had not met any of them, however.

Lillian started up the Jeep and she looked over to Adrian as she heard him speaking into her mind. 'Perhaps, but I still don't like being startled half to death just because someone wants to put in their two cents... It's kind of freaking me out enough with all that's happened, though having people randomly talking into my mind might tip me over and make me go insane...' she said, joking, yet she didn't think that she was all that far off from going insane. "I really need to get me one of those little spongy, stress relieving things... That way I could... Never mind, I'd have it scrunched up in a few days after having stuff like this happening all at once... Scratch that, it'd be an hour after I got it that it'd be all scrunched up... Unable to regain its form..." she spoke aloud as she pulled out from her parking space. After she finished speaking she said nothing the whole drive home, knowing that her father was more than likely going to be on the front porch, waiting for the two of them to get home.

Adrian tilted his head with a faint smile. "I wouldn't worry too much about that. I doubt there are too many like Ivory in the country, though I find whittling or free running to be good for stress relief," he said with a faint smile. He knew the latter wasn't for everyone, though it was good for teaching other skills including observation, awareness, agility, and reflexes.
