This was a poor shot. It landed directly in front of Akane and popped, getting water all over the ground. She was so embarrassed she blushed.

Eliza had managed to collect quite an amount of balloons in her hidden cache. Eliza paused in her collecting to count her growing stash of "weapons". The thing was, now that she had hidden these balloons, where could she go to throw them? Eliza gazed at the kids still running around the field and sighed. She was farther away from the action than she had realized. Attempting to throw her balloons from here would mean that she would have to wait until an unlucky kid would come into range.
Pulling out one of her balloons, Eliza exited the tunnel and spotted Akane. She cocked her arm back and threw the balloon. It struck the other girl squarely and Eliza felt a shiver of delight travel down her spine.
The game in Trev's head was almost more fun than trying to hit people. Figuring that the local chipmunk community was now terrified to come within ten feet of the play area, he moved on to the local anthills. He wasn't fond of ants anyway and this could be viewed as community service, really.

Marisha just shook off the hit from the other girl with a grin. She quite enjoyed the compliment but wasn't going to let it go to her head. Quickly getting up she grabbed another balloon and lobbed at at another random child near her. Unfortunately or fortunately for the child she had aimed at, Marisha missed her target. Nearly slipping in the mud as the balloon landed safely.

The sudden onslaught of cool water could be felt by many of the children as the teachers responsible for refilling and restocking balloons turned their hose outwards, soaking as many kids as they could manage. Some directly, others in a more speckled rain of water. Oh how they laughed those evil teachers!

From this point on whenever you roll a 4 or 14: You're hands are so wet and slick from all the fun that you've lost your grip. Not only do you drop the balloon but it falls and explodes on you! Darn it!
Trev was heading off to find more balloons when the teachers turned the hoses onto the kids. Laughing happily as a stream of cool water got him, Trev stood there a moment enjoying the water. Oh, his mother would be furious, but OH WELL. He was having a good time.
Once the hosing down has finished, he rubbed water from his face and collected his balloons. Upon spying a kid who had not gotten thoroughly drenched, he aimed and threw. And cackled as the kid became coated in sticky confetti.
Ralph was looking for more water balloons when it suddenly started raining!? He looked up at the sky knowing there wasn't any rain clouds, he turned his head over to the teachers filling the balloons and got a face full of cold water.
"ACK!" He turned around grabbing the nearest balloon. After he grabbbed the balloon he saw Tev and quickly aimed the balloon at him. He watched as the balloon hit his target. AH maybe that water from the hosepipe actually helped him get his aim back!
Trev felt yet another balloon get him, but he didn't care. He was too busy having a good time. With a nod at Ralph to acknowledge his strike, Trev ran off in the other direction, looking for someone new to try and get.
He got his wish soon enough, spying a boy who'd somehow been missed by the hoses. Well. He'd just have to fix that.
When someone came over, Griffin put on his best leave-me-alone face, prepared to face a teacher who wanted him to give it another try. That was something he was used to, from sitting and watching other kids do fun things. This wasn't the first time that he'd been tempted to join them, but it was one of the few times he had. Those few times all had something in common: when the going got tough, the tough went to sit back down rather than keep trying. He had no desire to invite more embarrassment.
Yet when he saw that it wasn't a teacher, but Briar, who was checking up on him, Griffin felt even worse. If he stopped now, he wasn't worthy of calling himself a rival. But if he kept going, and Briar won, would he be able to live down the humiliation?
Rather than answer directly, he just shrugged. "Does it matter?" It didn't matter to Griffin, who knew that he'd be miserable with whatever he decided. Unable to look his "rival" in the eyes, he grabbed a balloon that had been left on the bench and pitched it out towards the gaggle of kids. He never raised his gaze, never noticed that his random throw had actually hit someone.

Briar flopped down on the bench, although not too close to Griffin given the fact that he was pretty much a soggy, muddy mess, complete with bits of confetti to add interest.
"Well we're rivals aren't we?" He said at last "I haven't had a rival in this sort of thing before." Probably because he didn't usually take part in no-holds barred water fights. "It's fun though, so I hope you'll play some more."
He got up, if he said anything else then he'd probably start sounding like a sap - and he sure as anything wasn't a sap.
Walking off he stopped for a little bit "Nice throw by the way." and then he'd headed back into the fray.
Or at least he'd tried to - he'd been about to try and sneak up on one of the boys and try lobbing a water balloon at them, but then he'd yelped and dropped the balloon as the teachers suddenly turned the hose on the field.
Cold - the water was coold! On the plus side however, it helped wash some of that mud off.

Now that he had had a break, and a couple of puffs from his inhaler, Bryn was ready to get back into the fray. He had thankfully avoided being sprayed by the hose, but it was really funny. And he bet that water was really really cold.
He picked up an unpopped balloon from the crowd, and tossed it at a girl who was running by. It missed, and he walked over to the buckets to claim a new one. No more running for him.
Griffin's pity party was rudely interrupted when a teacher came up behind him and sprayed him with a hose. The boy sputtered and stood up, trying in vain to shield himself from the onslaught. If that had been an attempt to get him back in the game, it was definitely misplaced. Instead, it just cemented his belief that this sort of thing wasn't meant for him. It was too messy, too tiring, too... too much fun.
Ralph slipped under the hose again to find a new balloon. He wanted to nail someone else, humming as he walked along he noticed Briar not too far away. Of course, despite Ralph's hopefulness he missed Briar.
