"You are cute, Libby Marie," Avery laughed at the frosting on her face, letting the redhead know she was anything but sly. She turned the question over in her mind, thinking back to childhood.
"I wouldn't say sweet. I was a very naughty little girl." Her red lips curved in a smile that showed 'was' might not be entirely accurate. "I think I got into a tussle with my first crush, when they wouldn't do what I wanted."

Liberty's red face held a combination of the excitement of the compliment and embarrassment.
"So are you," she retorted, not a hint of derision in her tone. No, she was too busy laughing and mouthing off the icing that was now on her hand.
"Your poor crush." Another giggle, and then a quieting pause. Now Liberty was the one leaning her chin on a hand, looking at Avery. "I can't imagine you anything but nice. Mischevious, maybe. But you seem so much a good person, sometimes I get a little jealous."

"You must not have a very good imagination," Avery's tone was wry, eyebrow raising at the series of compliments. She almost wished that a*****e Pandora was around to hear Libby singing her praises. "If I told you that I'm a bad girl, would you believe me?" One glance at the other girl's freckled, honest face said 'no'.
Avery was glad that Liberty was there. Talking to her was fun [exciting, even], and it made the time pass quickly between sales. And they were making sales.

Both shoulders rising in a shrug, Liberty admitted her fault, "I'm not the most creative." The length of her smile shortened just slightly.
"Probably not." Perhaps that was Liberty's own fault. She couldn't deny she was sometimes a sucker, especially when it came to charity. Helping was her own form of addiction.
"But, try me. What about you is so bad?" Liberty took another bite out of her cupcake, chewed it thoughtfully, and then hastily added, "I'll tell you one bad thing about me, too."

"Get the ******** out of here," Ave's words were full of incredulous laughter, a spontaneous burst that made her cheeks flush, when a man in a shirt and tie also laughed, two cupcakes held in his hands. The soft accent wrapping around such hard words seemed to have convinced him that he should buy some of her pretty cupcakes.
"I've a bit of a potty mouth," She confessed to both the customer and Liberty, before continuing after he'd left the table, "And I don't believe you've got any flaws." She raised her brows. "Look at you."
