Riley's next attack stumbled to a halt when Gilly walked in front of her, asking for help. Riley stared at the little woman, wide eyed with disbelief. Was she asking what was going on, in the middle of a battlefield? She'd almost been a victim herself, as Riley's tentacles had aimed for Xiu, but Gilly stepped in the way.
She relaxed, pulling the girl to her side. Gilly, I know this is hard to believe, but you must trust me. Our King? Xiu? She's been taken. This imposter, this facade in front of us, is the culprit. The only way to save our king is to kill her, and free Xiu from her prison. You have to help us.
Riley's eyes brimmed with sincerity. You must believe we are doing what is best for our Kingdom, and for Xiu. We love her.

Clyde would have attacked Shun for attacking the King. However, he was more worried about the enemies on the field. Their kingdom can work this mistake out. This doesn't apply to the enemy.

Riley saw the confusion in the shadow of her friends eyes, when he looked at her. She straightened up after explaining everything to Gilly, and her hand lifted to summon her dragon again. This time, she let the dragon curl around her arm for a little longer, brushing its head affectionately against her face. Her eyes closed for a moment, returning the nuzzle, and then re-opened to look at Jericho earnestly.

What, exactly, was she saying she did? If he didn't understand, she wasn't going to explain. Her hand straightened, and the dragon roared, happily floating away to attack Xiu again.

Shun grunted as he took a rather hard hit from the glaive Xiu called forth. Staggering, he shook his head before staring hard at the false king. Her demeanor had shifted completely. Though, he wasn't sure what she was talking about with her question. But he decided to turn it around.
"Maybe we should ask you and the other kings the same," he said simply.
While Riley went on and called for an illusionary red dragon, he just lashed out with his daggers.

Around the time Rosy had lunged at his back Spinar had thrown up a shield to counter a shard of debris from the front taking a step back as he did and causing a harsh smack against her. Blinking he turns to glance over his shoulder wondering why she had been following that close to him. Upon his glance Spinar started to realize something in his relief he had missed, Rosy...was no longer dressed in her pretty red dress. No she was wearing silver colors and her hair it hadn't been down before had it?
Turning with a questioning glance back to Rosy he tried in a tone of caution, "Rosy...why are you dressed like that?" Taking a step back as his guard went up.
