He waved a hand in Mass's direction which basically give his consent to feed the tiger, whose eyes lit up delightedly at the gesture.
"You and Nuk close then?" he asked, setting his lips into a grim line.

Bix's journey continued finally after ducking into some shadows. His paranoia had reached a head andfor a moment he'd been worried about continuing in that state. Thankfully it had worn away and he oncemore began his climb.
The tower never stopped falling. With the influx of looters it seemed to be falling faster than ever. Rocks pelted him until he was panting and not feeling any closer to the top.
He wasn't sure he'd make it.
Time to head back.

"Huh then Nuk's going to be a while I guess." She shrugged, nodding at Rep before tossing half the treat to the tiger. "Cat has an appetite."
Leaning back on one hand she munched at her treat while Rep asked the question, her eyebrow raising slightly at the look she was given. "Me and Mutt? Old friends, he uh, does a lot of odd jobs, runs with a different crowd. Does it to protect his family. He pissed a few guys off and I took care of them for him. We've been friends since. "Justice!" Aezeloth smirked back to her as she rose to her feet.
"Surrender now or prepare to fight!" He called after her as she headed up the stairs away from him.
Rolling his own shoulders, he slowly regained his feet, and began to climb up after her.
He managed to gather a few more smidgens of Miasma from debris that fell upon his head as he climbed each level - trying to keep Judgement in sight as he went. Eventually he managed to reach where she had stopped panting and brushing off debris as he managed to reach her.
"You're lucky - seems this tower is out to kill me." Reaching out, he clapped a hand on her shoulder with a chuckle. "I don't know how much longer I can follow Judgement - much as it pains me to say."
He was hurting, it felt like half the tower had fallen on him.

Serafina grunted. She would not let herself be defeated by a bunch of annoying stairs. How pathetic was she?! She was surrounded by people who could probably run marathons around her, sure, but she could do better than just standing there and staring mournfully as the stairs seemed to grow bigger and bigger in the distance.
So she would climb.
Even if she felt like she had to grab onto whatever existed of the railing and nearly crawl her way up the stairs. Her breath felt like it was getting cut off, but perhaps she was just exaggerating. Okay, maybe she was a lot exaggerating. But this hurt. It burned. She didn't do this exercise thing. Maybe when this was all over, she should introduce some kind of legislation banning tall towers.
Because they were hatred and suffering.
Serafina did not like hatred and suffering. Perhaps, especially, she disliked exercise. Maybe she should just ban exercise or something. Or no more climbing. That sounded good. Introduce legislation to destroy climbing forever. No more of that thing.
She couldn't help her whine.

Whisper stopped on the 10th floor and looked forward. Even seeing a little ahead she could tell how unstable it was looking. Would it be worth the risk? She had already done quite well, and some miasma was better than nothing. It would be terrible to go back empty handed. She gave herself a nod, and decided to leave. Small victories were still victories.

((Last post at 00:12 GMT)) Rep gave Sammy a grin, but as always with the man it was hard to tell if he was pleased or covertly plotting someone else's agony. "Good. I was wondering what the deal was. You know. Because I want to shag him. Didn't want to like. Blind side you with that."
Mass made delighted grunts as he munched the twinkie, rolling around in sugary bliss. Rep cast him a sidelong glance.
"And he's a fat b*****d. But he's obedient."
Shrugging, he got to his feet. "Better keep going before Trace ******** combusts with impatience. Take care, mercenary." This time at least, the word wasn't nasty.

The middle of the tower proved be quite harsh. In fact, they were much tougher than Shenny anticipated: most of the halls were blocked by what was supposed to be furniture; half of the stairs were missing, so she had to jump over the empty spaces trying not to look down, where one could see all the level she crossed so far. The condition of the stairs were not really helpful: she had to carefully prepare every single step, since most of the stairs were ready to fall down as soon as her leg touched them. Luckily, being a shadow she was light as the wind, yet she could imagine how hard the pass could be for other kingdoms denizens.
However, being a shadow here wasn't really pleasant: the higher levels missed a lot of walls, and from time to time she was exposed to the direct, and pretty bright, sunlight, which made her hiss and shiver. She hated sunlight. Also, some large debrils kept falling from time to time, and finally the Devil got what could be called real injuries. One of them was quite painful: her arm was cut by a rusty nail; she had to use all her willpower to restrain from crying accidentally. The very next moment something strange happened: something invisible yet very material touched her shoulders, a warm hand or paw was guiding her, Shenny's pain was erased as if it was just a dream, she felt confidence and power running through her shady veins. The Devil turned around, but there was absolutely nobody there... was it her King's will helping her? or something else? or just her own imagination? Apparently, it didn't matter much, as long as it helped her clearing the last levels and collect some more miasma.
..in of the last rooms the shadow noticed a familiar phrase: she hadn't yet seen this one, thought it would fit perfectly in the pattern: "Infinity is less than one". Hm... it had its point, however Shenny had some troubles trying to correlate it with the previous phrases.

Sammy only laughed, it wasn't a rude laugh, more like someone completely amused at something. "Have at him, not sure how he'll react to that but we're all adults here, I like the guy, but he's capable of making his own choices. I ain't his wife or anything."
She also laughed at Mass, finding the large cats reaction to the snack highly entertaining, "I have a cat back home, its funny seeing a beast like that acting like a house pet with the ability and weight to drop someone in a fight."
She continued to sit saluting lazily with her twinkie as Rep stood up, "Roll on Queen, see you back in town when we finish this," and with that Sammy was left alone once more.

He left Sammy with a smirk and a nod, jogging to keep up with Tracey who was already worried they were falling behind.
This climb was worse than the others, far worse, and longer too. For every tiny bit of miasma he managed to snatch from the clutches of death, he was hit with a whole ******** lot of rubble. It wasn't a trade off he was pleased with, his suit was covered in dust and frankly he'd need to go back and change into a new one, this was unacceptable.
What was so good about a ******** tower anyway?
He wanted a drink. He went to get one.

Senga, who very much liked keeping appearances, looked like a ragged mess by the time he made it to the twentieth floor, and was seriously considering the side-effects of concussions and broken ribs. His labored breath echoed into one of the antechambers as he collected more miasma, his eyes shining gold in the dark. Above and below, the echo of footsteps and voices bounced from space to empty space. He could hear them all, but none of them were defined in his mind.
He only knew that his comrades were here, and that one of them had attacked him in confusion, and the other had probably attempted by accident to unleash all hell on everyone in the immediate vicinity. He'd discarded his ruined shirt somewhere on the fifteenth floor, and now he stormed the tower in nothing but a sash, pants, and boots. He was seriously considering the newly found importance of showers around the time debris struck his shoulder, even though he'd moved to get away from it. Too slow, he thought grimly, and stared down at his scarred hands.
Maybe its time to descend instead.
Unfortunately, pride said otherwise. But sometimes, Senga had realized a long time ago, pride had to be forfeit in matters of life and death.

The floor here was crumbling quite terribly. Kiwi minded his step, but it did little good to shield him from the debris that dropped from above. Another clue awaited him, puzzling the proud noble ever more. The only good thing about being this far up, was that the mist had thinned considerably.
He shielded his head with his golden fan, and continued the ascent.

The corpse of a kingdom was something to behold. Malodore examined the landscape impassively, trying to superimpose the cracked masonry and shattered remains over its memory of home. Something in the vibrant blue repelled all such thoughts, and it smiled to itself. Not as interesting as examining the corpse of a living being - kingdoms lived on larger scales, pulsed a different sort of blood through their veins.
Still, it would learn what it could of this place, and retrieve what resources remained.

He was, sort of surprised by the somewhat pleasant feeling that he felt as the girl told him that he had manners. Considering the sort of memories he had seen there was no reason he should have ever been nice or polite to others. Yet some odd reason he was.
"Thank you..... and it’s ok if you are not... I don't expect everyone is the same I mean other than we are dead I can imagine we have differences. I guess as long as you don’t call me an a** or something I don’t mind.” He replied trying to see if he could smile as he said the joke however none really mustered on his face. Before he could continue he noticed something shiny, like a piece of an artifact almost like a valued necklace. He reached for it collecting the miasma that lingered. It was then that some of the debris started to fall, landing large junks across his back. He tried to avoid some of them peering up trying to guess where they would land. Agsil screamed and before he could look she had grabbed his hand sending him tumbling down the stairs with her.
