Harriet organised the little bits of paper, which Kiera narrowly saw had her name printed at the top of all of them. “What is this, Harriet?” Harriet pulled out one paper from the rest and stacked it on top where she could read off it perfectly. “Date enrolled: 21st of December. Issue name: Viceroy Kiera Anju Yokai + Guest Canine. Found & detained: Ice dragon palace, A.K.A. Acyron residence.” Kiera’s eyes clouded over and her hand twitched at her side. “Where… where’s that from?” Harriet looked up to Kiera with a troubled expression. “These are the papers of the place you went to, princess. The place you’ve been the past few years.” Kiera’s eye twitched. She wasn’t looking to Harriet, but rather the wall right behind her. “I was travelling around for three years to sort my head out.” Harriet shook her head. “No you weren’t! That’s the point. You were detained by a bunch of diligent Seraphim’s and sent to a prison camp!” Kiera’s eyes finally widened in sync with Asher’s. “P-…p-prison camp…?” Harriet nodded sadly. “And a pretty bad one, too. The worst in the world. Turns out you had committed a lot of crimes, princess. They’re all recorded here.” She pulled out another couple of pieces of paper that listed all of her crimes. “Do you not remember any of this? It was three years of your life!” Kiera remained still for a moment, then lifted her hands up to her neck where she felt two little puncture holes either side of her neck and one great one at her nape. Trembling, she lowered her hands again. “I didn’t do all that. I didn’t go to a camp. What’re you talking about, Harriet? Your mind must’ve degenerated since your husband died.” Harriet shook her head forcibly. “But that’s not it, Kiera. There are reports on an informal release. You didn’t get discharged from the prison, Kiera. You escaped.”

*Meanwhile shortstraw and mai were digging a sqard outline for the size and such of the house. He wanted the wals to be in the ground about 3 foot deep, just in case. It would take a while to dig and prepare, but he figured it would be worth it when the girls got back and they could started putting the diffrent things together. He however looked to mai, "i wonder if i should make a tunnle here later, you seem good at this." He laughed.

Kiera’s eyes thinned finally. “Hattie, I think you need a little rest. Don’t you think I’d remember if this kind of thing happened? How about I lead you back to your house-““No! Kiera you’re not seeing this.” Asher could see that Kiera was being genuine about this. She actually didn’t remember. But why didn’t she remember this? And more importantly, Asher wanted to get her paws on those documents that Harriet had so that she could take a look for herself. Kiera backed out of the alley slightly, but Harriet took a hold of her arm. Big mistake, because now she had a scalded hand. “Ah!” Harriet flinched and jumped back to nurse her poor hand, dropping the documents all over the floor. Asher saw her chance as Kiera turned around but Harriet raced after her to stop her. “Kiera! Princess!” Asher jumped down from her hiding spot and collected all the papers in her mouth, before she looked back to Harriet and Kiera. Poor soul, Harriet. At this rate Kiera might actually kill her. Couldn’t be helped, of course. Asher had to get these documents to Shortstraw. So she disappeared. Kiera spun around, face contorted. “No Harriet! I don’t like to be fed with lies. That’s how I got so bad in the first place. I have to be the best I can be so that I can regain myself.” Some people stopped what they were doing to see Kiera shouting at this woman. Harriet frowned. “But Kiera… There’s something wrong with you. You’ve memory loss or something. I just want to help you, because of all that you’ve helped me with.” Kiera looked sadly to Harriet. “Then help me by not consulting me like that. Please Harriet. You’re a trusted friend. Don’t turn into another poisonous letch.” Kiera then carried on in the direction she was originally heading, leaving Harriet pondering where all those top secret files disappeared off to. Oh god, the authorities were going to kill her for this.

*Shortstraw stopped working and sat down next to mai for a break, "you know what. I havn't felt this good in a long time. I sure am glad you two are back Mai. Things hopefully will get alot better, he then turned and noticed Asher. "hey." he replied with a smile...

Asher sighed as she dumped the papers on the floor and took a breather. "You wouldn't believe the things I've just heard, Shortstraw." She picked up the documents again and placed them carefully in his lap. "These all should give some good information as to what Kiera's been up to the past three years." Mai looked to the documents and his tail went still as if he knew what they were. Suddenly he snatched them out of his lap and bounded out of reach with them. Asher frowned. "What? Mai no. Those are important. Please don't mess them up. Give them back!" Asher pounced after him but Mai jumped out of the way each time.
Kiera had just finished getting the supplies and was heading back with loads of materials in her coat pocket. Luckily for her, she wouldn't have to carry them all with their full weight. Otherwise Kiera'd be having some trouble then. She looked to the Smith shop as she passed it and saw that it was vacant. She thought to herself. That was a pretty weird encounter back there. She'd couldn't even remember what Harriet was talking to her about.

*Shortstraw looked to asher and suddenly used his speed to stop Mai and retreave the papers, he held a stern expression and looked to mai, "don't even boy." He looked to the documents, and then to Asher, "how do we know this is rejit?" He then shied and shook his head reading some of it, "i mean they look it, but i want proof this is right. Good work Asher."

Asher nodded. "They came from an innocent enough woman, so I wouldn't see why they would be fake." Mai started barking and howling in distress. Kiera could hear it even from far away. Although it had been somewhat of a special call for her they had set up beforehand. The papers clearly explained all the details of when Kiera was taken away, who by, what she had been doing while she was there, and the fact that there was a search warrant for her arrest now. Turned out that Mai had been the only emotional support that Kiera had when she was contained, and the warrant had even been signed off by the Ice dragon king. Her sentence was for life, and clearly she didn't want it that way. Turns out also that she had been seeing a psychiatrist while she was in the prison, because she'd often try to rampage her way out of the prison. Reports showed that she'd mutter the name 'Shortstraw' in her sleep and often talked about him to her dog when she was alone in her specialized cell. "I haven't read the documents yet. All I heard is what Kiera and the woman were talking about. Kiera seems to deny everything again. I think she has barred that memory from her mind because it was so... traumatizing." Mai still howled.

*Shortstraw nodded, "makes sense. It all makes good sense, to how she's been acting, her dissaperince." He tossed the papers to Asher, "give put these away for now, i don't want this getting out. Wether she's wanted or not, i wanna know more. Somthing is seemingly off with it all, i think there is a plan here in motion, and she was the target. Now however she is recovering, and it is like Keria to store memory like that away. And i wouldn't blame her, however she will need to remember it if we are to dodge this thing." He looked to Mai, "and it's okay boy. Your master isn't in trouble with me. I'm on her side, always have been."

Asher nodded as she made the documents disappear for the moment, just as Kiera came running through the trees. When she reached them, she put her hands on her knees and gasped for air. "Mai? What is it boy? Did something happen?" Mai gazed wearily to Asher and Shortstraw before he looked to Kiera with big cute eyes and shook his head. Kiera sighed and stretched her back. "Are you kidding me? False alarm? God I need exercise, I thought I was fitter than this." Other than the fact that she'd been sitting in a cell for most of three years. She looked to Shortstraw with a smile before she took off her coat. "I got all the supplies. Anything we should need is in my coat now."

*He nodded* "Good. In that case..." he chukkled as Veria appeared, "i got the 115 stuff! It's all in my pockets." She nodded happily. Shortstraw chukkled, "alright, but it's still alittle early for the beams. It's getting late. Mai and i got half the digging done, so lets just finish the digging and we can call it a night." He chukkled and started getting to work, "hey got any shovles in there?" He asked... but later when they walked into the hotel they wer covered in dirt. It probably looked alittle funny but they both (and mai) went upstairs and into the room. Once inside shortstraw chukled, "it's been a hell of a day hasn't it. If we can do all we did today, then that house will be done in no time." He chukkled and smiled, "Keria... i wanna thank you..." He started.

As Kiera tried to shake all the dirt out of her hair she looked to Shortstraw with a curious smile. "Thank me? For what?" She chuckled and brushed all her hair to one side. "There's no need." She then nodded. "I'll be glad when the house is finished, too. We'll have a place that's truly just for us. And not just some place that I bought randomly. Although of course building the house is fun and exciting in itself too." She turned and smiled to him. "I'm glad I get the chance to do this with you, Shortstraw."

*Shortstraw nodded* "Well we are a team, you and I. Through horrable or the best things ever, we are a team." He chukkled, "a dirty team..." he smiled and walked tot he ensuit, "care to join me... or not this time." He laughed teasingly. If there was one way to make her relax, he figured this was it, afterword he may have a better chance talking to her about the prizen thing... maybe...*

Kiera flustered a little although raised her eyebrows at the proposed challenge. "Are you taunting me? I thought I was supposed to be the older woman here." She laughed, then followed him into the en-suite and shut the door behind them. Mai actually rolled his eyes and went to lie down in the corner as he always would, paws over his eyes and ears.

*Later shortstraw and keria came out of the ensuite, clean, and with at least underware... Shortstraw then laid down on the bed, he felt relaxed, "all day was defently worth it." He chukkled, "and strangly, i have been feeling better inside aswell since that whole insident with me dieing and stuff." He smiled and waited for keria. He figured he would ask... soon... question was, how.*

Kiera frowned as she stretched her arms out in front of her then jumped onto the bed. "Yeah well, I didn't like you dying very much. Don't do that again. I swear I was about to murder anyone who got in the way of getting you back." She laughed a little and laid on her side, yawning. "But yeah, it has been a pretty full on day." Mai took one paw off his eye and saw that they were back. And at least decent.
