... Was covered in snow?
Mayaa had never seen snow before, and she poked at it delightedly, squealing at the cold touch, and when (she thought) no one was looking, put some into her mouth.
"MmmmmEEEEEEEEEE It's so cold!"
She caught movement out of the corner of the eye, and gasped, thinking she had eaten a living thing, but upon closer inspection, realized it was a minipet frolicking around.
So cute and fluffy! She reached out a hand to touch it.

The minipet was too quick for her, and lept out of her reach.
Having lost her footing, Mayaa stumbled forward a little, only to notice the area behind the booth was covered in snow too. SO MUCH SNOW. It was then she noticed there were even MORE minipets. OH SO FLUFFY.
With reckless abandon, she flounced after them, squealing excessively.

Sylas wandered up to the snow-covered booth, dismayed to find it empty and seemingly abandoned. Was there supposed to be a game here? Or some food? Was someone running for student council here? There had to be some purpose to this booth--all of the other ones were up for some reason or another. Except there didn't seem to be anything here, except for piles of snow.
And minipets. Sylas looked to the right and saw nothing (except snow). Then, he looked to the left and still saw nothing (except more snow). Determining that the coast was clear, his tentacles draped over his shoulders, each one capturing a squirming mini. He stuck his hands in his pockets and wandered away from the booth, whistling innocently. At least he'd be able to take these guys home with him. Or save them for a midnight snack. Whichever!

Sylas was heading away from the abandoned booth when something smacked into his arm. He swiped at it instinctively, shouting in surprise as a pom latched onto his fingers. He quickly withdrew his hand, but the pom came with it. Its teeth stayed fastened to his flesh as he waved his hand around, trying to dislodge the minipet, and remained until Sylas pried the tiny jaws apart. Gripping it by the scruff of the neck, he held it up to eye level. It bared its tiny teeth at him, its tail wagging wildly. Sylas bent to carefully set the pom on the ground, wary of its ability to cause harm despite its small size. It ran wildly around his feet a few times before darting ahead of him a few yards, looking back over its shoulder as if to say Well, aren't you coming?

There was something about the mysterious snow-covered booth that made the bluebird keep returning for more. Jay was quite convinced that it was because no one was manning the booth and therefore whatever she did here had little consequence. Sure, she had entertained the idea that the pom was the one supposedly in charge, but minipets couldn't be in charge of stalls. They really couldn't.
Jay hummed to herself as she returned to the booth and took a moment to stare at a few of the minipets still lounging around the booth. She narrowed her eyes at one of the arctic poms before she jumped forward with her arms spread out. Unfortunately, the darn critter escaped. "Ugh! No fair. I want more furry critters to keep."

Luck by Roll!She puffed out her cheeks for a moment, but then returned to the current task at hand-- swiping another minipet for her to keep and add to her collection. Jay set her sights on a random pom and slowly crept toward it in an attempt to be subtle. Surprisingly, it appeared to be working so far. Eyes wide with anticipation, she finally lifted her arms and was about to pounce, when she heard crackling fire.
"Huh?" Distracted, Jay looked toward the sound and squawked when she realized it was a ball of flames. She frantically dove into the snow to douse the flames and as the smoke snaked away from her, she huffed. "Definitely not fair."
