Finally she broke free of the paralysis. Aurian took a few shaking steps, eyes darting wildly around the room. She had no time to sit and shiver, there was still a battle going on. Aurian spied a small blond Hunter with a long gun of some kind. No one else seemed to be engaging him. There were more humans entering into the area, Olivia tensed as she spotted the new reserves. Her own nerves were growing haggard, fatigue wearing in. From where she was, she couldn't find a way to get to Amarus for now, not with the weird ice that wasn't at all helping her out. Where was Faustus now? She hadn't seen him... since before the explosion now.
Her blue eyes glanced and spotted a situation that she could.. maybe help with. Well, probably not the best choice of words. But the Heir's arm was ensnared in some weird chain by one of the newly arrived hunters. Picking up a piece of a nearby destroyed rune, Olivia changed her usual charging and shoving tactic to throwing a piece of rock at the boy....
and missed. Of course, it went whizzing past his head instead.

The mousey boil near Auri took a hard hit from a hunter with a gun she hadn't seen yet in the fight. "Where do you keep coming from?! [[Entering]] Lumi found Julian in the middle of a whole lot of fighting, as she raised her eye brow slightly she jumped at sudden explosions all around her, completely forgetting her anger at Julian she rushed near him hoping that she could remember what she had learned that first week when she was fighting the shade. Standing next to Julian she glared at him before seeing what he meant about those that looked like reapers, they were attacking students, now why would they want to do that. It was inevitable that this would happen, really. He wasn't a fighter. He wasn't built for it. His brothers, maybe -- they were warriors, big and strong and vicious. Rafe wasn't. Rafe was a scrawny rat-tailed bookworm and he had no business here fighting with hunters for keeps. The two attacks hit him in rapid succession. He barely had time to register the arrival of his old opponent before the gun went off. The shot tore through his shoulder and he let out a miserable squeaking cry of pain. Then his current opponent whirled around and slashed at his chest with his blade, tearing through his ratty clothes and slicing into his skin. There was no way he could get to his other attacker. He barely had any strength left in him...but maybe he could give one more shot at this jerk with the knife. It was a weak, feeble effort; he could already feel his vision starting to go dark as all of his previous damage finally started to soak in. He didn't even make contact with him. ...Maybe these hunters could feel a little compassion.... The rat boy attacked him back, but Deryk moved out of the way. It looked like he had hurt him pretty good with that last attack. Looking around, he went to focus on another person. Ah! There was the gold girl that had been fighting him earlier. She was going after Gale right now too. Joachim took off running into the room, he didn't spend a tremendous amount of time looking to what was going on other than the fact there was ice on the floor and he could feel his heels sliding across them. Yet that did't stop him as he started swinging at the first white jacket, scarf wearing human there. The Hunter looked distracted, as he was speaking to someone else-- one of the female Hunters. Amarus tried not to think of how similar their conversation sounded to the ones she would have with her friends while they were fighting; it was uncomfortable to identify similarities between her enemy and her allies. The slippery floor meant that, yet again, her normally reasonably effective hit merely glanced off him as she slid around. The hunter she was targeting appeared to be after Auri again, at any rate.
On the bright side, it felt like the ice was easing up. Hey! Joachim was now attacking Deryk, too; Amarus remembered her old teammate, and thought enough to say hello as they worked together. "Holding up okay?" she asked him.

Jack dammit! What was Lumi doing here? Hadn't he told her to stay? Unfrozen, he grabbed her arms, frowning deeply at her.
"What are you doing??" he snapped, before seeing a Aksaja faltering. He hated seeing Lumi here in this situation, but he could yell at her later. Right now he had to help out a dragon.

West looked around the room for another opponent, teeth bared in a snarl. He was mildly pleased that so many Hunters seemed to be going down, although the fact that they weren't exactly dead hadn't gone unnoticed. That would be easy enough to remedy when they were all... hey! He glared at the spot where one of the humans had been. Well, that was probably the crappiest thing to happen all day. The demon continued his angry scopeage, finally choosing an excellent target when s**t went down. Again. Blue fire. He didn't have time to jump away from the flames before they were spreading from his feet up his legs, burning his skin through his clothing along the way. He clenched his teeth, but was unable to stop the pained groan that crept between them. He would never forget. Red. Red had killed him with fire like this. She had sent him to that place where no one could see or hear him, where he had been alone. No, not alone. There had been faint voices all around, and the despair. They wanted to go home. So had he. He did now as well. West's jaw clenched. He was not going back to that place. The blue fire would not have him. The boil stomped at the flames near his feet and, once again, slapped his palms against the ones licking at his clothing. He scanned the crowd for their source, for someone to fight, his gaze falling on Aria, the answer to both. The boil blinked. Was that... Lumi winced slightly at Julian but turned her attention to the ghoul he was going after. As she reached up to her pendent she noticed that it wasn't radiating the same amount of fear that it normally did. Wincing slightly she wondered if this fight was going to be like the last one. Burst, twist, kick -- it was difficult to speak with her acting-assistant in the middle of a battlefield. And speak in such a way that the surrounding Halloween creatures would not be able to understand. With luck he would get the message, as a series of kicks and punches followed by blasts of her weapon's cold-fire drew her away from Lance's side. Aria found herself next to an unfamiliar trainee: Deryk. "Pull them onto your blade," Aria said as she grabbed his shoulder, demonstrating as she held his shoulder and stepped towards him, her other hand and weapon jabbing into his side. But where there should have been pain, there was only a sense of relief. If Deryk looked down, he would see the runic bandage that was now slapped onto his side as Aria stepped away. "Keep it up!
