(( Entering ))
Some Trials Champion Lucien was. Famine, War and Death did nothing to sway the boil's nature. In fact, no matter how much the air spirit seemed to grow and raise his rank among his fellow students nothing seemed to change with the air spirit. Nothing changed and once again he was late to the party. After all the boil had been through you would suspect that he'd have a better realization of importance. Did he? Maybe, but it still didn't change the fact he was late and his punctuality would probably always be a coin toss.
Whether he could remember it in a timely manner, he had a short table flip moment where had there been a table to flip he very well might given it a new location up in the clouds before he flew at the speed of well, wind. He lingered anxiously on the choice, trying to decide where they were supposed to go before he finally made his way there. It would have been completed perfectly had he not been late. The auditorium was clearing out by the time he arrived, all of the student seeming to be heading off to a new location. Curiously and intently, Lucien followed them until he realized that he was once again in the Weeping Forest.
What was it about the forest? Well, he unfondly remembered the time he stumbled upon Breck's Shed, and then all of other times he'd found his way there only to end up in sticky and unfavorable situations. It didn't give him quite the same feeling, the aura of facility and the horsemen all around him, but nonetheless Lucien was very cautious about where he was floating. He watched his 'steps' carefully, and that was where he noticed the muddied footprints and then the even stranger marking -- arrows -- buried in the grass.
Well huh, that was strange. or was it? Lucien wasn't quite sure anymore. There were so many new things and then so many experience he had been though, was it really that strange anymore? So what? Footprints and arrows on the ground? Well sure, fine. That was all fine, but when everyone stopped and Lucien looked up, there was something else. There seemed to be a door out of a tree. Okay, maybe that was a little odd to the air spirit. He could envision living in a cloud but he couldn't quite imagine them all walking into a tree... at least not on purpose.
He took a deep breath, his body feeling refreshed as the air surrounded him, took a look at Arel who had been staying behind to make sure none of them were lost. That was certainly a valid point when Lucien was one of the students marked to attend. If Lucien were a bit smarter and quicker on the up draw, Lucien might have wondered why Arel would be so cautious this whole time and then even hesitate on going through. Luckily, Lucien wasn't and although he waved happily to Arel as he floated by, he said nothing.
It was dark, and the spirit couldn't see anything but he could feel it. It rang through his entire being as it blew around them all. It was the wind and it was a warm, comforting wind that tugged at his soul. It wasn't anything like those cold, frigid winds that often brought Lucien into unfavorable situations. Instead it was comforting and it brought forth a happy emotion that quickly arose to the air spirit. Of course, the wind brought more than just a happy feeling, soon Lucien found himself become grounded once again. Why hadn't he expected as much, really? It seemed that Lucien really needed to get himself a Lepus Guide permanently. It could remind him constantly that shoes were the solution, and then maybe Lucien would wear some.
If Lucien were really bright, he'd realize he could at least float a bit off the ground thanks to his racial class.
He wasn't.
It wasn't enough to ground Lucien's emotions through, unlike his body, his emotions were soaring when he seen the sky. Oh the sky! It looked so endless and so blue, with the cutest little wisps of clouds covering the very surface beautifully. It was as if an artist had painted the sky, or perhaps his father had? It was certainly within his father's talents but the world wasn't quite so small, was it? Either way, he couldn't wait to spend time here. He might not get quite as much work done as he should with such a beautiful sight to look at but Lucien couldn't find it in him to complain. He could barely find it in him to pay attention to the ambassador as she introduced them all to everything. Ah, well, he'd figure it out, maybe, probably, but for now Lucien was just going to enjoy the sky for a bit longer.
