Seemed her hitting streak had ended for now.

SMACK DOWN! Her final hit sent that shade back into the box it had crawled out of. Genora panted as she staggered to stay on her feet. Seemed you had picked the right gems to make sure that little slim ball wouldn't put her down. "Target has been put down for a forever snooze..." She said as she gave a thumbs up with a toothy smile.

As expected, this was not going well for her... a small groan coming from the ghoul as she headed in for another attack but felt her claws breeze right by the shade without doing any damage. Seemed that when she needed to do well in battle was the time that the most screw ups happened, despite how hard she tried.

Suddenly Imryn was knocked back through the air and sent tumbling as the shade's attack connected with her stomach. Clutching the bruised area she righted herself and took a few moments to catch her breath before the next round.

Imryn's HP: 20/30
Shade's HP: 23/25
Gem Effect: 2/2
~Ruby: Pacify the shade for one turn, essentially charming it to be your ally, and take no damage for that turn
Emerald: Roll 1d4 and heal yourself or an ally for the resulting amount.

Once again, a swing and a miss, while the shade seemed to have no issues landing hits on her and doing a decent bit of damage.

Imryn growled a bit at the shade while starting to pant a bit, feeling worn out and bruised from the fight... and extremely frustrated with herself that she'd been failing so far to so any significant damage to her opponent. Gritting her teeth, she flew in for another attack and barely grazed it's shoulder before feeling it connect with her chest and knocking the wind out of her for a moment. Imryn fell to the floor and just laid there for a few moments,trying to catch her breath and see if it might have a weak spot before pushing up off the floor to try again.

After picking herself up off the floor Imryn turned on the shade again and flew in down around the bottom of it, hoping for some kind of sneak attack... possibly. But they seemed to have eyes everywhere as it moved out of her reach right as her claws sailed past where it was a few moments ago. Imryn was not happy with herself about this. It was bad enough that the Horsemen seemed to have a lesser view of them... but now this too? She'd barely done any damage at all to the shade, while she on the other hand felt about ready to pass out.

Suddenly the ruby in her necklace started to glow a little... or maybe it was just her imagination, but for some reason the shade didn't come after her this time. Taking advantage of the situation, Imryn put some distance between the two of them.

Taking advantage of the lull in attacks to try to heal herself, Imryn grasped the pendant in her hand and tried to focus on the gem. There wasn't much, but she could feel a few aches and pains lessen some beneath her claw.

Oh this really wasn't good. Despite being able to take some time for a little bit of healing, it seemed that might as well have been a moot point as Imryn took a blow to the face before even getting a chance to attack. She lunged at the creature and attempted to bite it, but with her hazy vision at the moment, all she succeeded in biting was a lot of air.

Despite the blurry vision from the blow to her head, she still tried to attack the creature even though her body couldn't take much more of this. Another swipe at the creature, this time at least connecting with a little bit of something... though once again the creature dealt out more damage than it took. The blow left her feeling weak and almost ready to pass out... knowing that she should call for the instructor to help, but not wanting to. They were there as representatives... but really it seemed that all she'd shown was that apparently some of them had poor accuracy and not much strength. Just lovely.

Imryn knew she couldn't handle another attack and it was time to throw in the towel, no matter how much she didn't want to. Mustering up her courage, she called out to Ylaria. "Instructor Ylaira... I'm very sorry, but I'm unable to finish this one off...". Glancing down at her necklace, she wondered if somehow things had gone wrong with the crafting... or maybe she'd chosen the wrong types of gems together... either way, admitting defeat was not what her ideal ending would have been.

Admiring her work as it lay nicely against her bosom, Sabine was understandably distracted when the Ylaria issued her warning, if it can even be called that. When the shade struck out at her, the vampire's eyes went wide, and she turned to the instructor, "First mirrors and now this? You!" She pointed a finger at the clan member, it's nail notably shorter than at their last lesson. "People like you are why we cannot have nice things!"

The shade got it's claws in her hair, and Sabine let out a high pitched shriek, ineffectively slapping at it, "You creepstas! You always go for my hair! These are not extensions, boo-ta!"

The ensuing slap fight between vampiress and shade was a sad sight. Especially since the shade won.

All the fighting and stress was really taking it's toll. One Sabine's shoes. When one of the heels broke, she went down swearing, The shade, still in perfect health, just kind of nudged her thrashing body. Likely wondering if she was even worth attacking anymore.
