[ Cormac; Mercutio ; Leront ; Merlin ; Balthazar : Land of Departure : Dining Hall ]
"You're just as up to date as I am," the spiritualist said, somberly blowing on his cup of tea. "The Republic's keeping an eye out, but there's nothing much to report lately. Your young duo seems to be doing rather fantastic."
"The problem being that's all they are," the green-haired young mage replied, sighing over his own cup. "A young duo. Some of us branch into the field occasionally, but..."
"They're exceptionally capable. I've seen them at work," Cormac continued, giving a small smile as he took a sip. "Mm, Merlin, you really do make it the best."
"You have to have the right sources, m'boy," the mage's Galiant replied with a proud wink. "It's a disservice to get anything but high quality leaves and grounds."
"You say you've seen them?" Leront spoke, raising a brow at the spiritualist. "What were you doing in the field?"
"The same thing anyone from the Republic is doing in the field," he said, smiling. "Keeping an eye out. And, you know, if the two find themselves going up against significantly less Heartless than was originally scouted, it may just be we'd been doing a bit of weeding. It doesn't do to have the creatures too close to the borders, you know."
The edge of Leront's lips twitched, but only just so, and he simply turned his attention back to his tea. "He's got a point, Merlin, it does seem to improve every day."
"I'm glad you think so," Merlin said, running his hand along his beard with a pleased expression as he eyed the two younger magicians. However, his gaze caught something else approaching--or, rather, someone else--and he gave a jovial smile in welcome. "Good morning, Balthazar! I see Mercutio found Cael's room."
"Yeah, but the kid slept straight through the tapping," the mage Galiant said, the large black bird on his shoulder still bouncing slightly as he took a seat on the bench next to Cormac, opposite Merlin. Merlin offered him a cup of tea, and Balthazar bowed his head thankfully before turning his gaze to the spiritualist. "What brings you into town?"
"Oh, just setting up a small, voluntary class for next semester," he said, smiling. "Or maybe the winter session, if anyone sticks around for the holidays."

"Second drawer up, Zi," Mizu said in response to Ziko wondering where her pants were. With a groan, Mizu planted her hands firmly on the bed and pushed up, letting her pillow-cave fall off of her head as she glanced over to the door.
"Lee," Mizu said to Ferven, draping her legs over the edge of her bed and stretching. "Allie. Ah-lee-uh. … Nah, I'ma call her Lee. Easier to pronounce when I'm not awake. Welcome in, Lee!" The thief reached over and tucked poor, abused, recently-thrown Dale into his little chipmunk bed. She added a gentle pat to his little tiny head in apology for using him as a projectile.

[ Cael : Land of Departure : Dorm ]As the twins began to enact their hex, Cael's body twinged unconsciously in his sleep. The spell didn't work--at least, not as intended. Cael's circuits flared, becoming somewhat visible along his neck as a series of glowing lines. It was a dull glow at first, but for a split second it brilliantly flared up before immediately disappearing.
The dragoon's eyes snapped open, and in a fluid motion he twisted his body around to face his attackers, his spear summoned to the hand he pulled around to point at them, and his mouth open, flames visibly forming in the back of his throat as he prepared to breathe fire.
And then he saw that it was just the twins.
Realization swept over him in surprise, and as his eyes bulged, the fire in his throat dissipated, leaving him coughing and hacking, dark smoke escaping his mouth and nose. The spear disappeared in a flash of light as he brought his hand to cover his mouth and keep the smoke from flying in their faces.
"You can't--" he wheezed out another cough. "--do that to me!" Again--weaker this time, so he was getting it out of his system. "You don't surprise people like that... what were you even trying to do? What time is it?"

"We were trying to wake you up!" Leora answered another of Cael's questions, "Look at what you're missing!" a flourish to the window and the rain that filled it, maybe a flash of lightning if Cael was lucky, "Plus, aren't you hungry?". Unlike Lucius, Leora's voice was robust and excited, very active. "Sorry, but we didn't want to wake you up since you told us not to," Lucius started the apology as polite as one could be, which Leora finished not as politely, "but you never said anything about minimizing you and taking you out on an adventure. It would have worked, too, if you didn't wake up..." Leora ended with a disappointed pout while Lucius nodded to show that he agreed.
Cael, being Lucius's roommate and all, would probably realize that the twins were doing that weird thing again. By virtue of being together, they split the main facets of their identical personalities between them so that it was easier to express their thoughts to others. Lucius and Leora both meant what they each said and were both equally apologetic at causing Cael so much alarm just as they were equally disappointed that they didn't get the chance to exploit a loophole, as informal as it was.
As for the twins' reactions to Cael's reaction, the two seemed rather comfortable with it all, taking most of it in stride. They'd simultaneously jumped back at Cael's awakening and their own reflexes had created an array of cards to appear out of thin air in front of them, ready to cast a protective spell. Somewhere during all of this, the twins had unconsciously intertwined their arms together in such a way that they were pressed right up to each other. As realization dawned over Cael, the cards disappeared, and that was when the twins had begun answering his questions. Neither of them seemed to show much care for the distress Cael was clearly going through because of the fire and smoke in his throat that their presence had caused. Cael always looked pretty pained, or at least unfortunate, when he woke up. At least, in the twins' opinion it was. The smoke Cael was holding back? Probably just a harmless consequence of the fire in the back of his throat that caused him no pain whatsoever.
Now, it was the twins' turn for questions. "We really didn't mean to wake you up," Lucius began as innocently as possible. "But since you're already awake, play with us?" Leora finished their joint question with a spurt of reckless enthusiasm. Again, each twin genuinely meant what the other said. They were mischievous, sure, but at heart, they were both PoH. Lying wasn't something that even crossed their mind half the time. Then the two suddenly thought something else they wanted to ask. Leora was the one to start, "Oh also! Also! Also!" and just as she expected, Lucius was thinking the same thing. He asked civilly, "Also, could you please tell us what those glowing lines were? They look like circuits from back home, but this isn't Space Paranoids." Leora continued with a rather mild threat(?), "If you don't, we can just scan you and find out ourselves!" but what Lucius said immediately afterwards, "Ah, we would really like to, but it would be rude if you really wanted to keep it a secret so we won't," made it clear that the twins really wouldn't be so mean as to do that.❝ W̼̳͉͎̱ͅẹ ̙͇d̦̱̩̖̫̫̻o̪̗͇̻n͉'̣̞̭͎t͎̫̯͓͚ ̼̼͙̬̙͖w̥̜a̫̲̥n̯͉t̗̗̬͕ ̰̘͎͙̼̦̜t̩o b̺̲̗͕e̮̙̘͕̼͖ ̮͔u̟̩̙͖ͅs̤̖̱̪̜̫ef̰̠̻͉̠̲̹u̹̪̰l̝̹̗͍̙ ̱̭on̪̼͇̖͚̙̜l̖̺̘̦͉̼͎y͍̪ ̩̰̦̻w̠̼͓ẖe̦͇̰͖̣ͅn̪̞̱͎͇̺̞ ͖s͎̮̲o̘͚̰m̹̩͓̝̘̮̞e̞͖̻̫͕̜̼on̙̲̮͇̰e͖̜̺̜̪͖̖ ̠̜̟̱i̞̩̗͎̹̟̬s̹̮͖̣͚̯ ̫̱͕͚̳h͓͇̞u͙͓r̭̟̫͙̼̦ț̠̟̞.͈͎̭̱͙ ̯̳̼͕͔̘ ̺̰̥W̼̖̱̦ẹ̗̖̼̰ ͚͖͙̳wa̟͖̟̺̥͈̝n̯̠̦̤t ͈̜n̥̥̲̫o̭͉̗̺ ̮̹͈o̞̹̯̮̬n̰͓̣̯̼̝̻e hu͚̘̟̥̪r͈̠͎͙̻̫t͎̟͔ ̙̰͎̱͇̟̫t̘̜̫͙̹͕̥o̳͓̣̖̣ ͕̼̪̯̭̞be͓͉̳g͙̦̙̱̤̰̥i̦̮̠n͙̳ͅ ͉͚̙͕̙̱̝w̥̠̜͔i̼̲th̬̩̫̫̞.̥͎ ❞ A̎҉bͧͨ͆̽ͫ̇ǐ̵l̎î͗t̓͆̐͋ͥ͋͢i̵ĕ̐͐̐̎ͬs̴͛͂͐͋ …S̀͏pͫͩ͊̉ĕͥ̈́̔͒ͮl̐l͋͒͗̈́ͨs̍̑́̅̀ͬ͊͡ …M̶ͥ͛ͮi̚s̛c̉̎̾͌̈́̈́̀͞e͊ͪ̔͛ͣ̌͏lͨ̌lͮͤ͜aͥ͗ͥ͒̚n̈͒̉ͭe̽̔̔ö͌̀u̓͜s̢͂̋ͫ͗̀ …

Alliyah smiled nervously. "Uh...yeah that's me. Well actually, my name is Alliyah." For like the fifth time... she grumbled in her mind. She noticed that they were both pretty tired and felt a little embarrassed. "Um...should I come back later?" she asked sheepishly. Alliyah had always been a somewhat of an early riser. Sometimes she forgot that not everyone was.

[ Cael : Land of Departure : Dorm ]
Cael stared at the two young royals in disdain as they both spoke up, answering his question. Eight in the morning? And it was storming, too--perfect lazy weather, with thunder and the constant drone of rain to lull him back to sleep. And... was he hungry? No, for crying out loud, it was eight in the morning, he'd be lucky if his metabolism started before 10 on a good day.
Then they explained their logic and their attempt to manipulate him. The disdain quickly turned into outright disapproval, narrowed eyes, tight lips, the whole look as it was explained. Still, they were children--barely even pubescent as it was, and from a much different culture than him. He eased up the expression, but not so much that it wasn't still clear that they'd upset him at least a little.
The question barrage did little to dissuade him, or move him from his spot; in fact, he laid back down with a sigh and propped himself on his elbow. It was time to give the children in a lesson in common courtesy.
"In order: no, I am not hungry. No, I will not play with you, because I am still exhausted," he explained, and to his chagrin, the earlier sigh turned into a yawn. "And you wouldn't get much of anything from your scans anyway. Those were my magic circuits, the representation of how magic flows through my body--the same as most people where I come from. Of course, magic being what it is, the representation can be different from world to world or person to person, entirely based on how you think of magic."
"Now, question for you two," he said, and a brow raised as if preparing for their answers. He had a point, but they would have to respond. "Do you enjoy making people unhappy?"

They found it rather difficult to read the emotions of others, and as a result, they smiled even as Cael sighed, frowned, and otherwise looked quite obviously irritated. They listened with attentive interest up until Cael's question.
Leora immediately burst out, "No!". Lucius remained quiet for the moment. He did look rather shocked, though, an identical expression to what Leora had. "You don't see us running around, screaming, 'Off with your heads!' do you? We were trying so hard to not wake you up because we didn't want you upset. That way, you would still be sleeping like you wanted, and when you woke up hungry or something, you'd already be out of your room, " the princess finished what she had to say. Despite the belligerent front she worked to put into her voice, she couldn't help but sound a bit hurt at the question. Being difficult? Yes, both she and Lucius would admit to that, but they both never meant to be difficult at the expense of others.
All the while, Lucius and Leora were thinking identically, searching for what possibly could have made Cael ask a question like that. They certainly weren't ordering anyone's heads off, which was the example Alice had given them of making people unhappy. There was, of course, more on her list, none of which the twins had done. They hadn't badly sung anything yet, nor were they late. They didn't use too much pepper in the soup nor was it possible that they upset Cael by growing too small or too big. Alice, like Cael, had been upset when the twin first woke her up at 6 in the morning, so the twins could understand being unhappy at that... but again, they didn't mean to wake Cael up. To put it in their logic: xxxIf (CaelStatus == AwakeBefore10AM) xxx{ xxxxxxCael = unhappy; xxx} xxxelse xxx{ xxxxxxCael = okay; xxx}
By that logic, it made sense for Cael to be unhappy right now. That's why they apologized, after all, because they were sorry for not exploiting the loophole properly. However, Lucius and Leora didn't want their plan to fail. They wanted Cael to stay asleep and "okay." They didn't want him unhappy, and they certainly didn't enjoy it if he was.❝ W̼̳͉͎̱ͅẹ ̙͇d̦̱̩̖̫̫̻o̪̗͇̻n͉'̣̞̭͎t͎̫̯͓͚ ̼̼͙̬̙͖w̥̜a̫̲̥n̯͉t̗̗̬͕ ̰̘͎͙̼̦̜t̩o b̺̲̗͕e̮̙̘͕̼͖ ̮͔u̟̩̙͖ͅs̤̖̱̪̜̫ef̰̠̻͉̠̲̹u̹̪̰l̝̹̗͍̙ ̱̭on̪̼͇̖͚̙̜l̖̺̘̦͉̼͎y͍̪ ̩̰̦̻w̠̼͓ẖe̦͇̰͖̣ͅn̪̞̱͎͇̺̞ ͖s͎̮̲o̘͚̰m̹̩͓̝̘̮̞e̞͖̻̫͕̜̼on̙̲̮͇̰e͖̜̺̜̪͖̖ ̠̜̟̱i̞̩̗͎̹̟̬s̹̮͖̣͚̯ ̫̱͕͚̳h͓͇̞u͙͓r̭̟̫͙̼̦ț̠̟̞.͈͎̭̱͙ ̯̳̼͕͔̘ ̺̰̥W̼̖̱̦ẹ̗̖̼̰ ͚͖͙̳wa̟͖̟̺̥͈̝n̯̠̦̤t ͈̜n̥̥̲̫o̭͉̗̺ ̮̹͈o̞̹̯̮̬n̰͓̣̯̼̝̻e hu͚̘̟̥̪r͈̠͎͙̻̫t͎̟͔ ̙̰͎̱͇̟̫t̘̜̫͙̹͕̥o̳͓̣̖̣ ͕̼̪̯̭̞be͓͉̳g͙̦̙̱̤̰̥i̦̮̠n͙̳ͅ ͉͚̙͕̙̱̝w̥̠̜͔i̼̲th̬̩̫̫̞.̥͎ ❞ A̎҉bͧͨ͆̽ͫ̇ǐ̵l̎î͗t̓͆̐͋ͥ͋͢i̵ĕ̐͐̐̎ͬs̴͛͂͐͋ …S̀͏pͫͩ͊̉ĕͥ̈́̔͒ͮl̐l͋͒͗̈́ͨs̍̑́̅̀ͬ͊͡ …M̶ͥ͛ͮi̚s̛c̉̎̾͌̈́̈́̀͞e͊ͪ̔͛ͣ̌͏lͨ̌lͮͤ͜aͥ͗ͥ͒̚n̈͒̉ͭe̽̔̔ö͌̀u̓͜s̢͂̋ͫ͗̀ …

Je suis a toi [Zikomo ~ Land of Departure ~ Dorm Room 118 (Mizu & Ziko)]
Ziko scratched her head slowly at Mizu's response to her question. She knew that's where her clean pajama pants were, but what about the ones she'd put on last night? Did she put on pants last night? She sure hoped she hadn't, because that would explain the lack of pants. If she had gone to bed wearing pants and they weren't currently present, there was something to fear.
"Oh no, come in Alliyah!" The girl said cheerily, though still sounding groggy, "I don't think we've had the pleasure. And I'm really sorry, but I'm not wearing pants right now. I'm not shy if you're not."

"I didn't think so, for the record," he said first, easing what concerns they may have had for how he perceived them. They were pure of heart--he knew they didn't. It was quite literally impossible. But they were young and immature; ignorance was not darkness, but it still needed to be removed all the same.
"Now, being from a very unique culture, and being young to begin with, you probably might not quite understand where I'm coming from," he continued. "But there are certain things that are nearly guaranteed to produce unhappiness or worse in most people. Do you know the terms 'free will' and 'consent'?"

Ferven let out a grunt of welcome. No words, just a grunt. But it sounded tired yet...please? Maybe? Sometimes it was hard to translate his grunts. And even he knew it sometimes.
"Ignore me. I'm tired and freeloading. Roommate left me to go work out I'm guessing. Abandoned me. Left me with a cat that eats cookies on me." There was a small laugh from the ball of fur by the foot of the bed. "Quiet, cat. Just consider me the room's current space heater. As Mizu sometimes calls me. I think. I don't always listen to her."

Will, a term that expresses the future tense. Consent, permission," Lucius piped up intellectually in a subdued voice. Besides him, Leora was just as cowed, which was why it was her turn to put a cap on her side of their personality. Lucius understood that free and will weren't meant to be taken separately but together, so he continued on, "Free will, the ability for the future tense to act as it wishes?..." The royal pair immediately thought together, Ironic as it was, despite free will being the very thing that set Lucius and Leroa apart from most other programs in their home world, they had never heard of that term quite yet, or at least, they've never had cause to look it up. They had always considered their unique state, which wasn't all that unique outside of their home world, as being independent.
Lucius tried again for a definition of free will, "A future tense that acts as it wishes?". With a definition like that, it almost sounded like Cael was trying to teach the twins some grammar pattern or another, but that couldn't be it. As bad as they were with understanding social cues, the twins were pretty sure that, in this case, Cael wasn't trying to teach them grammar. Another attempt, this time with a different definition of will, "A letter to be read after the death of the writer that acts as it wishes?" and yet another definition, this time of free, "A letter or a future tense that doesn't cost any money?". At this point, Lucius looked desperately confused as Leora frowned in frustration.
There was one last one. The twins knew the phrase "strong will," which they understood as "strong of heart," so if they used that, ""A heart that can act as it wishes? Or a heart that doesn't cost any money?". There were a lot of possibilities and neither twin was quite sure which one worked best with consent.❝ W̼̳͉͎̱ͅẹ ̙͇d̦̱̩̖̫̫̻o̪̗͇̻n͉'̣̞̭͎t͎̫̯͓͚ ̼̼͙̬̙͖w̥̜a̫̲̥n̯͉t̗̗̬͕ ̰̘͎͙̼̦̜t̩o b̺̲̗͕e̮̙̘͕̼͖ ̮͔u̟̩̙͖ͅs̤̖̱̪̜̫ef̰̠̻͉̠̲̹u̹̪̰l̝̹̗͍̙ ̱̭on̪̼͇̖͚̙̜l̖̺̘̦͉̼͎y͍̪ ̩̰̦̻w̠̼͓ẖe̦͇̰͖̣ͅn̪̞̱͎͇̺̞ ͖s͎̮̲o̘͚̰m̹̩͓̝̘̮̞e̞͖̻̫͕̜̼on̙̲̮͇̰e͖̜̺̜̪͖̖ ̠̜̟̱i̞̩̗͎̹̟̬s̹̮͖̣͚̯ ̫̱͕͚̳h͓͇̞u͙͓r̭̟̫͙̼̦ț̠̟̞.͈͎̭̱͙ ̯̳̼͕͔̘ ̺̰̥W̼̖̱̦ẹ̗̖̼̰ ͚͖͙̳wa̟͖̟̺̥͈̝n̯̠̦̤t ͈̜n̥̥̲̫o̭͉̗̺ ̮̹͈o̞̹̯̮̬n̰͓̣̯̼̝̻e hu͚̘̟̥̪r͈̠͎͙̻̫t͎̟͔ ̙̰͎̱͇̟̫t̘̜̫͙̹͕̥o̳͓̣̖̣ ͕̼̪̯̭̞be͓͉̳g͙̦̙̱̤̰̥i̦̮̠n͙̳ͅ ͉͚̙͕̙̱̝w̥̠̜͔i̼̲th̬̩̫̫̞.̥͎ ❞ A̎҉bͧͨ͆̽ͫ̇ǐ̵l̎î͗t̓͆̐͋ͥ͋͢i̵ĕ̐͐̐̎ͬs̴͛͂͐͋ …S̀͏pͫͩ͊̉ĕͥ̈́̔͒ͮl̐l͋͒͗̈́ͨs̍̑́̅̀ͬ͊͡ …M̶ͥ͛ͮi̚s̛c̉̎̾͌̈́̈́̀͞e͊ͪ̔͛ͣ̌͏lͨ̌lͮͤ͜aͥ͗ͥ͒̚n̈͒̉ͭe̽̔̔ö͌̀u̓͜s̢͂̋ͫ͗̀ …

[ Cael : Land of Departure : Dorm ]
Cael let the two of them work it out, though more specifically it seemed to be Lucius working it out, which was all the same--they were close enough that the information would be shared eventually. And when Lucius finally got the right answer for 'free will'--or close enough, as it was--Cael nodded.
"Close enough. Free will is the idea of a person being free to do as he or she pleases; a simpler term would be 'freedom', but free will carries its own weight," he began, the grogginess now lost from his voice. "You see, free will is the idea that we as people are uncontrolled, allowed to make our own decisions without some higher or stronger power forcing its own will and choices upon us."
"Consent is another level of that--as you said, it is permission, but it is specifically permission that is freely given. Being people with power and royals, it's really important you know these two things," he explained.
"You see, like many people, you've got unique abilities that give you power. But if you... hrm...," he said. He was tired and tripping over his words, but at the moment he was trying to think how best to put it. His eyes lit up briefly as he figured out the best way to combine his points. "See, if you exert that power over somebody's life without their consent, then you're taking away their free will, right? And that usually makes people upset, with varying degrees depending on how much power you exert and how much of their lives or things you've used or changed without permission. Directly manipulating someone like a puppet without their consent, on my world, is considered waaaaay immoral, to the point of being downright illegal."
"It's especially important to know this, being who and what you are. As a Prince and Princess of Heart, there will probably come a day where you lead people. A position of power or command. When people accept your rule or command, they are giving you consent to lead their lives--they are giving up a fraction of their free will to obey yours," he went on. He yawned again. "But if you go too far, you'll quickly go from being considered benevolent to being looked at much like Alice's queen of hearts, even without the head-chopping thing. Do you understand what I mean?"

The stuff Cael talked about was both strange and familiar. Familiar in that the twins could relate to the free will and consent he talked about. They, like others, would have been outraged at having a predetermined fate. In fact, they were already actively rebelling against something of that sort, rebelling in the sense of half-refusing to study cure spells so that they wouldn't be relegated to some position in the back lines where they wouldn't be of any help until someone has already been hurt. What struck the twins as new was learning the commonly accepted terms for what they felt. Names had a special power in this case. Back when these concepts were unnamed, the twins hadn't given a second thought to them, much less considered them in their interactions with others. Now labeled, there was something concrete, or as concrete as a philosophical concept could be, for the twins to grasp and realize,
"We didn't mean to puppet you, just minimize you, and we really thought it was going to be good for you," Leora tactlessly started with an excuse, but she lived most of his life as a program, how was she to know tact? The words that followed from Lucius would hopefully make up for it, "but I get it," behind him, Leora nodded just in case Cael wasn't used to thinking of the "I" as both of them rather than just one, "I wouldn't like to be forced to do what I don't want to, either. I guess it never occurred to me to think of others as the same. So..." Leora's turn, "Should we wake you up from now on before trying to minimize you in your sleep?".. There was no attempt at an excuse, no attempt to use their background as a reason for why they did what they now knew was wrong.❝ W̼̳͉͎̱ͅẹ ̙͇d̦̱̩̖̫̫̻o̪̗͇̻n͉'̣̞̭͎t͎̫̯͓͚ ̼̼͙̬̙͖w̥̜a̫̲̥n̯͉t̗̗̬͕ ̰̘͎͙̼̦̜t̩o b̺̲̗͕e̮̙̘͕̼͖ ̮͔u̟̩̙͖ͅs̤̖̱̪̜̫ef̰̠̻͉̠̲̹u̹̪̰l̝̹̗͍̙ ̱̭on̪̼͇̖͚̙̜l̖̺̘̦͉̼͎y͍̪ ̩̰̦̻w̠̼͓ẖe̦͇̰͖̣ͅn̪̞̱͎͇̺̞ ͖s͎̮̲o̘͚̰m̹̩͓̝̘̮̞e̞͖̻̫͕̜̼on̙̲̮͇̰e͖̜̺̜̪͖̖ ̠̜̟̱i̞̩̗͎̹̟̬s̹̮͖̣͚̯ ̫̱͕͚̳h͓͇̞u͙͓r̭̟̫͙̼̦ț̠̟̞.͈͎̭̱͙ ̯̳̼͕͔̘ ̺̰̥W̼̖̱̦ẹ̗̖̼̰ ͚͖͙̳wa̟͖̟̺̥͈̝n̯̠̦̤t ͈̜n̥̥̲̫o̭͉̗̺ ̮̹͈o̞̹̯̮̬n̰͓̣̯̼̝̻e hu͚̘̟̥̪r͈̠͎͙̻̫t͎̟͔ ̙̰͎̱͇̟̫t̘̜̫͙̹͕̥o̳͓̣̖̣ ͕̼̪̯̭̞be͓͉̳g͙̦̙̱̤̰̥i̦̮̠n͙̳ͅ ͉͚̙͕̙̱̝w̥̠̜͔i̼̲th̬̩̫̫̞.̥͎ ❞ A̎҉bͧͨ͆̽ͫ̇ǐ̵l̎î͗t̓͆̐͋ͥ͋͢i̵ĕ̐͐̐̎ͬs̴͛͂͐͋ …S̀͏pͫͩ͊̉ĕͥ̈́̔͒ͮl̐l͋͒͗̈́ͨs̍̑́̅̀ͬ͊͡ …M̶ͥ͛ͮi̚s̛c̉̎̾͌̈́̈́̀͞e͊ͪ̔͛ͣ̌͏lͨ̌lͮͤ͜aͥ͗ͥ͒̚n̈͒̉ͭe̽̔̔ö͌̀u̓͜s̢͂̋ͫ͗̀ …

[Cloe: Land of Departure: dining Hall]
The large doors of the dining hall parted admitting a pale figure short in stature with something carefully clutched close to her chest. Cloe’s white frock of hair drifted like a ghost’s tatters as she walked down the long rows of tables till she spotted a small cluster of people, consisting of Merlin, Balthazar, Cormac, Mercutio, and Leront, on the other end of the room.
A smile crept into her face and quickly the child scurried over in their direction. She wasn't a shy thing, always seeking out other beings after moments of sillness, like she needed something from them to give her more presence. Leave her alone too long and she was an unoticable as a tree ina forest. She needed people, to be a person. Stopping 5 feet away so abruptly, her drifting extensions billowed over and about her face obscuring her eyes. Not missing a beat however, she pulled up a chair cross from the merry group, smelling tea in the air and looking around for a pot to pour some water in.
“Good day.” She finally said, tiny hands reaching across to make grabby attempts at the glass pitcher.

[Shion: Land of Departure: Outside Training Grounds]
Another rumble, and something white hot and spider webbed streaked across the sky, getting a rise out of the watcher below. A laughter bubbled from her chest- the hairs on her neck stood up. “Ho-oh, that’s a good one!”
She felt a slight chill and it snaked up her spine. Readjusting her seating under the trees she watched the thunder clouds as they continued to roll off into the distance. Another crack and another streak of light.
Shion wondered absently if Merry Weather would be cross with her for staying out in the rain like this. For all her tough exterior, she was the most passionate about her care. No doubt while Flora and Fauna would give her a lecture about being soaked, it would be Merry Weather who dot on her silently, grumbling her disappointment with a look that could make weaker people wither.
Shion was very fond of her gallant, and they of her. Like a trio of magical nannies, mothers and teachers, and friends… Shion really was grateful to have them at her side after everything.
It was there her thoughts turned back to home. The last things she saw that day. She wondered what had become of her home. How many in the school knew about it. How many cared if they did. She thought back to her conversation with Zack- what would he say if she told him she wanted to go back as soon as possible to save her homeland? Would he offer his help? Tch- now wasn’t the time to wonder. Besides, it was too dangerous right now. He was strong, but not invincible. Even the two of them, wouldn’t be enough to reclaim the kingdom. She hoped, she hoped against everything, that she could emerge a strong and powerful hero like him. “I’ll find my way home.. someday.” She muttered.
