Was getting more and more lost, worst of all, no one understood or spoke English...
Slipped on a wet floor while walking into the store.

The janitor didn't put a 'wet floor' sign out after mopping!
Was forced to jump out of a falling airplane. (The parachute was optional.)

Could be worse. I could've been given the hope of having a parachute and falling into despair and death at the same time. Very morbid.
Mistook one of the *DO NOT CONSUME* jars kept in the top cupboard as the container of chocolate powder to make hot chocolate.
