Sorry for being gone, tower is still down, but thankfully my aunt got a new laptop so I can use that to post.... but I can't download skype for the time being. So, I can make posts now, but uh.... I'm surprised the thing hasn't moved on. o-o

Before you ask, yes I never made a profile when I joined because my PC was out of commission for a good three month's. So before I do anything I need to ask... is it possible to be a dragon in this rp? Because if not then I'm gonna have a lot less freedom trying to roleplay. sweatdrop

We also have dragoons as a class which get a dragon companion that you would roleplay alongside your RPC.

I thought there was a written rule somewhere about creating threads (new locations) being allowed or not allowed, idek? I'm only asking because I'd like to do some storyline writing and don't want to interfere with another person writing their takeover in the same nation. Is it possible to just make it a separate timeline? gonk

That mission he is on is a huge story movement for that side of the world so things will change soon enough once I give it an approval. For any other place you can make threads as you please for whatever you need. Just don't flood places with 1230940289 threads that could have been consolidated in to you.

Yeah it is in Val'ghast, but I didn't want to interrupt him. I figured some backstory for my rpc there but I'd just make a thread for it to not interrupt him in case he needed to venture to other parts.
Great! Thank you! Now to go drag out some people to write with. emotion_dowant

To slip on in here, may I request permission to revise the Draconian bloodline? I've an interest in recreating an old character and feel that the race could use some love.

Send me your revision. You should take a look at the other better bloodlines to get an idea of the power levels and what not.

Very well, I was already comparing a few here and there, mostly with Kiranu and Lycans. Another question however -- I've an old character (actually the only character) whom was a Dawn Elf, but never adapted her to the newer classes as a Ninja. Well first question (second actually). Is it fine for her to resurface after all this time? (Assuming I can convince Cappy to RP Lo' as well) Third -- I notice a tidbit at the end of the Dawn Elves is a bit out of date, are Dawn Elves still restricted to a class/skill set like before? If so, I assume they're limited to Knight and/or Weapon Master, yes? Fourth -- I do not desire to have her retain rank that she had once before, as I felt she never truly earned this, might I just bump her down a notch yet with a few of the miniscule skills she had before. Fifth -- She was a ninja with the old classes, would the closest example be a Weapon Master? Sixth -- How's s**t going with zapping Axiom back to life, and how's your day? Also. Owls are awesome. Seventh -- Nothing, I just want to say once again, Owls are majestic.

We do it all of the time; we shelf them for a time so that we can think of new ways to spice them up, then we bring them back with a vengeance. 2.)It's absolutely okay for her to resurface. What I usually do is tell what happened during my character's absence through flashbacks or just intense story telling. It's completely up to you. Read up on things that happened, like Zachariah's slaying, the kingdoms being put back into normal order, and of course the current situation. The common folk are acting really strange: the closed kingdom of Fronta is rebelling and fighting a civil war; the kingdom of Nocturne is facing the drawbacks of Zachariah's death and the repositioning of Alistair as king once more; the kingdom of Yuran was brought back through the use of Niraliel's time warping ability. There's so much to add in to this, and I, myself, am very excited to move forward. 3.) You know, I was so worried about getting the classes out, along with the rest of the crew, that we didn't pay much attention to how the bloodlines would be affected. After this post, I will be revising the bloodlines to fit our current classes and specialties. 4.) We've never had someone ask us for a lower rank, but yeah. That's totally okay. It gives you more time to develop your RPC. 5.) The new class system only served to boost everyone in the guild, and we gave the option for anyone to change their class if they didn't like the way we changed things. But yes, if you wanna be a ninja, then go with Weapon Master as your specialty. 6.) Ya know, Axiom has a habit of breathing life back into itself. This actually happens every year, especially around summer. We have a new arc coming soon, and it will definitely be enough to get everyone involved. Unfortunately with the last arc, we didn't include the entire guild. But this arc will include everyone. Even if you don't wanna participate, it will affect you. 7.) R.I.P. Hedwig, she will live with us forever.

I have a question or two for my Dark Elf Lo. I'm bringing her back, but I'm starting from scratch with her.
My questions are... First; Can I make Lo some sort of noble? (Not like queen of the world, just a plain old noble) Second; Can I keep her adept rank? Or do I have to restart at Novice level? Her profile is still up if you want to look at it.

1.) Yes! You can; I did it with Alistair. We don't have any sort of rule that bars you from having a decent backstory with your RPC, as long as you don't say that your RPC is as old as time itself. Some RPC's claim to be the descendant of a god. Hell, the Valkyries are children of Angels! 2.) We never force someone to start out as a beginner when they have earned their rank. I have only ever asked someone for it once, because they received their high rank unfairly.

A Dawn Elf can use two specializations of a class? Interesting.
Not that I'm going for it, but how would Shadowknight + Templar work?
---
That aside, my actual question would be thus.
I've not made a Talent before and still been on the freakin' fence of what to even make. Any suggestions that could spark the creativity in me? Perhaps I'm not thinking broad enough for this grandmaster.

Perhaps I'm not thinking broad enough for this grandmaster. I'd advise against using polar opposites of a class. Diversity is good, but the Templar and the shadowknights are built for people with different methods of fighting. A templar is half support, half close range fighter. A shadowknight is half high damage spell caster, half close range fighter. Think of the kind of fighter you are, and pick one. A great mix would be templar and vanguard. Vanguards have extremely high bonuses to damage reduction, and can eventually get to 3 ranks towards your damage reduction for a period of 3 or so posts. So a S Rank will get to C rank. Talents are something that even I rarely use, mostly because I sacrifice them when I make slightly stronger bloodlines. But talents can range from being able to boost attacks, stats, give you a new skill set that would be considered too strong for a subclass. Once, I made a talent that allowed my shapeshifter to use all copied skills while in his original form, so i didn't even have to spend energy changing to an A Ranked figure.

Much appreciated for the detailed replies, it's a big help. I've decided for Assassin/Grandmaster for the closest approach of what I had in mind originally. Though some 'sin skills leave much to be desired in my opinion lol. Anywho, it's time to put the final touches with the profile and get things rolling. Here's to numerous posts. cheese_whine
