We have just over three weeks to get everything together. I'd like to see a test thread up in a week's time so we can edit it as needed, and make it look snazzy. We can set up a preliminary one in this subforum, but we'll need to have one in the Test Threads forum to make sure the dimensions are correct, and so the mods can move it when ready.

I still need bios from Broken, Ink, and Sunburst. Everyone else can be updating and editing what they already have.

We still need to get some kinks out of the games, but I feel like we're at a standstill with that until we get our funds. If we can get some game scenarios in order, I can come up with the game mechanics and odds to fit it later on. I'm pretty good with crunching numbers like that, so I can get that done in a hurry.

I don't know. I just feel really rushed and panicked at the moment. I think it's mostly because we have so much important stuff pending that could fall through, and I want this ball to be extra special since it's the 10th Anniversary of the ball. I don't want to do a slop job just because we're in a hurry. sad

Chibi, I know you feel a lot of pressure right now, but just try to remember that even though we definitely want the ball to look as good and run as smoothly as possible, at the end of the day it's something we do for fun and not because the fate of the free world hangs in the balance. wink You are doing a great job, and in a couple of weeks, you'll see the fruit of everyone's efforts! ^_^

Honestly most of my attention has been on getting the artwork done. iNk's picture is taking a LONG time to finish...but I will try to set aside some time to work on the riddles. As for the rest of the games, do you need rules from me for Whack a pixie and the Tree game? What are we going to call that anyway? Am I correct in saying that those are the only two I will be in charge of? What other duties will I have while I am online and entertaining the peeps, Finally, and anyone can answer this...say I am online by myself during the ball, should I spend most of my time interacting with guests in our thread? If so should I do that? I just don't want to discuss too much of the plot by accident, I guess just having random conversations would be a good way to go? Oh and just so you know I will be having two Tree games per day with 25 people per time shaking the tree. I will have a tree graphic on the first page saying when the tree is in bloom and then I will also post it in the thread. smile

So to recap, right now I am working on the sig artwork, two - four riddles, the tree graphics, rules for the tree game and whack a pixie. I already have my prizes picked out for that, should I go ahead and acquire them?

No I definitely want to set the tree to bloom at a certain time, or rather random times a day. I will post the image of the tree that that is their cue to PM me the key phrase. I am thinking something simple like "so-and-so Shakes the "blank" tree" and then I send them a random gift that "falls" from the tree.

As for the whack a pixie game, isn't that hosted by Brom or do you mean the rules? Please tell me them before we get started since I will helping with that game.

Edit* Just saw the "watering of the item tree" and I love it! biggrin ...I might have to rethink how we do it...I like the idea of making it a game where they have to see the posting of it, but then I also really like the relaxed way they can just come in each day and get an item....if we have enough crazy games, we can just do the relaxed version.

I also really like the test thread as well, looks good! I will read over everything in more depth when I get home but I like what did read over so far. I would love to have an outline done for us the staff that details what is going to happen and when...that way I can print it out and not get confused. I know you don't really have the time for that but maybe later right before the ball?

It is really looking good!! I really like the reference thread as well...though is that just for us? In that case, shouldnt we include ALL the games on the reference thread? Just asking, I know you are busy. wink

Oh and BIG thing, remember that I will be playing as Therian Grey for the entire ball, if they PM G-Fire, she won't answer! They have to PM the mule that I am playing as, I don't want to switch back and forth between my main and mule account to answer every pm. Plus if they are going to focus on any of my accounts, hacker or weirdo wise, I would rather it be Therian. We can mention that my main is GalateasFire but we need to make sure all the rules say to PM Therian.

It's way too quiet in here for the ball to be starting so soon. @_@

Btw, Broken told me last night that we won't be getting our art until the day before or the day that the ball starts. On the bright side, Harmonic has our banners ready! biggrin I'm going to go ahead and start setting up our test thread in the test forums so I can get the dimensions right. I think the guild posts are a little narrower.

Been working overtime because we're shorthanded at work (two people quit, another is on leave due to surgery, and yet another is on maternity leave) and it was tax-free weekend this weekend. I'm still here, though! Just too tired to post after work lately... sweatdrop
