hi just call me aye.. i love the classic jazz such as the songs of frank sinatra, steve tyrell, norah roberts and the like.. For me, jazz is like a soothing music that is created to invigorate the soul. That is what jazz means to me.. hope you feel the same way too biggrin

Hey everyone my name is franklin, I'm 19 i go to college(I major in communication) I love good music, My favorite genres are metal and jazz, of course. I play the bass guitar and im learning keyboard. I love jazz because it represents Freedom. The freedom to say whatever you're thinking or feeling through your instrument

Hey all you cool cats out there in the Jazz Guild....I'm Beatellicle and I play 6 instruments (and counting), and I also sing. I play piano, saxophone, mallet percussion, guitar, ukulele, and a little bit of mandolin. I've been playing in my school's jazz band for 3 years in a row, and I'm hoping to do Jazz Band in my new school. I played mallet percussion. smile Jazz is cool, there are no rules, you can just let the music out of your system and just...PLAY. I LOVE doing improv solos on the mallet percussion...it's so much fun! Improv rocks!!

hey, all! umm.....i'm a sophomore this fall at Nevada high (it's in central iowa, little town, middle of nowhere) i've played clarinet since 5th grade, tenor sax since.....umm....this past year, also flute since last year.....and now piano this summer, then trumpet and possibly trombone this year
music has always been a big part of my life, and i couldn't wait to start band, (oh, bass clarinet too lol) i'm a major overachiever in music, and wanna double major in English and music (either edamacation or therapy, dunno which yet) and a minor in psychology, get a teaching degree in etc...etc....i blame my musical ambitious-ness on a friend of mine, if i hadn't met her, i wouldn't have learned to take music so seriously (lovies to Bry!!!!!)

Hi people, I'm PrivateJenkins (or Dustin, although the former would be preferred), I'm 21 years old and I am currently a Junior at University of Miami (UM). I am majoring in Music Theory and plan to become a professor or music theory at a high school or university some day. Or some weird, child-prodigy music prep school. Actually I don't want that....anyways, I've been playing clarinet since 3rd grade, alto sax since 8th, and flute since 10th. I play everything in between, too, meaning that I play all the saxes and all the clarinets and all the.........wait, no just flute mrgreen
I play jazz on the sax and the flute, often doubling up at gigs and concerts, and I play clarinet in UM's concert band. I know that's not jazz but still.....music is music....so that's it. Random anythings are ok with me. My screename is Howwhyam (AIM). Talk to you people later cool

Hey jazz birds. I'm twenty-one, and a saxophone performance major, vaguely thinking about graduating. I grew up around Phil Woods, Keith Jarrett, Dave Liebman, Bob Dorough, etc. Literally, and musically. I play in a 19 piece big band, and a combo with trombone, vibes, piano, guitar, set, vocals, and me. It's pretty ill. Originally, I was obsessively into only playing classical and avante-garde (but still listening to jazz! oh my) , until I realized that jazz is precisely the perfect combination of the two. Top of my playlist , currently, is Benny Goodman and Ornette Coleman.

Well, hello! My name is ririko, and I play jazz Bass Clarinet, trumpet, Bb Clarinet, alto sax, tenor sax, aaaand bari sax. I've been listening to jazz forever... A few of my favorites include, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Eric Dolphy, Charles Mingus, Stan Getz, and singers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and one of my recent favorites, Melody Gardot. Eeek! and of course Benny Goodman, and oh, Rosa Passos, and, *sigh* I think i'll stop there. I mainly play Bass Clarinet, in a school big band, and a small ensemble on the side, where I occasionally play trumpet and sometimes saxophone. XD So much fun to meet people with similar tastes and intrests! I love math and biology. lol, yay!

Well, my name is [Love Hina] (My name IRL is disclosed unless I know you like a brothuh D: ) Uh, I've been playing my trombone for about 6 years now, but have only been playing Jazz for about a year. I started out freshman year as a 4th bone player and skeeted right up to where I am now, in 1st chair. Yet, I am ignorant to my jazz classics. SO hopefuloy, being here will enrich me with my Jazz-ness. C:
