Carlie shrugged, and used her ring to replace her GL costume with a black t-shirt, jean skirt, and flip-flops. Then she looked to her dad, as if asking if it was okay for her to wear that.

Hal gave the outfit a look over, then nodded and motioned for her to follow him across the street. Should be alright. They just needed to be inconspicuous enough that they didn't draw attention to themselves when they entered.
After crossing the street, Hall walked inside with C.J. and began scanning the room for Marvel.

Carlie's stomach growled, and immediately she went to the counter and started ordering food, seeming to completely forget why they were there.
Billy, however, had noticed Hal, and waved him over with one hand, as the other held a chicken leg.

Hal smiled and walked straight over to Billy's table. He was a little hungry, but that could wait until later. He wanted to get this done first.

"Hey, Mr. Jordan!" Billy said. "What brings you to Keystone? And who's that girl with you? She's... pretty..."

Hal paused a moment and looked awkwardly back at C.J. "My future daughter." he replied simply. Then he sat down and looked at Billy. "Actually, we came here to see you for....work-related issues."

Billy frowned, and promptly didn't say anything else regarding Carlie, trying his best to not sneak looks at her as she ordered food.
"Hey Dad!" Carlie called. "Do you have any money? This stuff costs, like, twenty bucks!"

Hal blinked and looked over at C.J. "How much did you get?" he asked as he stood up and reached into his pocket for a wallet. He motioned over to Billy and walked up to the counter with his wallet.

"Not... much..." Carlie said evasively. But the woman behind the counter said: "Sir, your daughter just ordered a large amount of food. We only had a couple come in here early this morning that ordered so much food, actually."
Carlie's stomach growled, and she looked up at Hal. "I'm hungry..." she said defensively, then she got a look at Billy.
"Hell-o!" she said enthusiastically, brushing past Hal and moving to sit beside Billy, who by this time was blushing heavily.

Hal turned around and opened his mouth to protest, but stood silently as he watched C.J. sit right beside Billy.
Oh no.... This didn't bode well.
With a frown, Hal turned towards the cashier. "It's alright. I'll get it all then." he replied, handing her the money.

Carlie giggled at Billy's blushing, and leaned close to him.
"So. What's your name?" she purred. Billy closed his eyes, beet-red in the face.
"B-Billy... Billy Batson," the boy said, trying his hardest not to do something stupid. He looked to Hal and practically pleaded with him, through eye contact, to help him out here.

Hal noticed how uncomfortable the boy was and sighed. "Carlie." he called out. Trying to put a bit of an authoritative parent tone tacked onto it. "Focus please."

"Yes, Dad," Carlie said immediately, though her voice did have slight disappointment in it as she spoke. She moved to give Billy a bit of breathing space, and looked down at her lap, looking for all the world like a little girl who was in trouble.
Thank you, Billy mouthed to Hal as the latter came to join them. He had no problem with Carlie flirting with him, it was just that she was... well, so pretty...

Hal set the rather impressive amount of food down on the table. "Thank you." he muttered to C.J. "Now then, we came here looking for you because we need to do some recruiting, and we were hoping you would be able help us. There's been...a lot going on. So I've been told. A lot of the big name players are missing, and we need as much help as we can get."

Billy frowned. "I saw Zatanna last night, actually. There was this portal opened in the city, and it led to Hell..."
He spent the next ten minutes telling the two Jordans, in a quiet tone, all that he had seen and done the night before, telling them about the rookies he had teamed up with as well.
