Barth approached the grounded tuba warily. It didn't look like it was going to leap at him. But it hadn't before, either. He took a seat next to it, fiddling with its knobs.
"Er, truce...?" He asked the thing.
With great tepidation, he addressed the mouthpiece, and blew into it. The tuba made a small, friendly noise. Barth smiled. Good. They were reconciled. They could put all that crushing business behind them. And Barth had tested all three knobs. He felt, overall, that it had been a successful session, and he was content to hang out on the floor with the downed and no-longer threatening tuba.

((I totally overlooked this note until now XD )) Quote: Then all kinds of interesting things happened. Israfel started to sing which Blue gave a rather apathetic look towards, Bartholomew decided to get frisky with his tuba, Christof got a stern 'You're on my list' look when he dropped the cello and an unhappy nod saying he could stop. "Christof," he said in a very displeased tone. "You will be pleased to know that not only have you been approved to stop but you've also been approved to see me after class for detention with the late cat." He did not approve of such careless handling of his instruments. The hunchback wobbled, face contorting in a look of frustration and anguish. But... but... but detention?? Lips pursed behind his scarf, he slumped in his seat beside Barth looking utterly miserable. He just couldn't seem to stop getting in trouble, it would seem, even when he arrived to class on time. He hadn't MEANT to drop the cello it just had... happened. His Master had been in trouble and he had to spring to save him- He shot a dirty look towards Israfel and his dastardly so-called-singing. So.... so big stringed things weren't his comfort zone. Everyone else seemed to be having trouble as well but- well, he supposed he was the only one who had outright dropped his instrument. Hell's Bell's. Since it seemed he had no more need of attempting with his cello, he picked up his small accordion from his bag, quietly picking away, haphazardly when the toe-finger was concerned, a sad sort of instrumental interlude.((Sans singing.))

"I didn't know you could play the accordion," Barth said, with surprise. "...Finished with the cello, are you? There are an alarming number of heavy instruments in this class."
And his claw was still sore from the music stand.
"A bit dangerous, isn't it? This school is lacking in Harmless Activity sign-ups. ...Thank you for helping."

Sharra had watched all of his classmates attempt their instruments, some with more success than others. Wrinkling his nose, he turned to his own (only slightly dwarfed) piano. It had been ages since the piano lessons that his aunts had wrangled him into, and he was entirely unsure as to just how much of that knowledge had remained with him, taking a deep breath, he attempted a ditty he had once been assigned...one which his fingers tripped over, sounding rather discordant, and caused him to wince.
All right, perhaps something a touch less complicated.

This tune was simpler, but still, he managed to bungle it, something that caused, the nergal boil to scowl, as he hit flats where he should be hitting sharps, and missed a few entirely. Well, so much for showing off, he was making an utter idiot of himself...not that most of the others had done better, but...well...he would have liked to look good for his lass, despite her wrangling with her own instrument.

Galloping...galloping... He remembered the words to the simple tune, trying to get his fingers to dance in the way that he had when he was small, however, his nergal claws seemed rather keen on pressing more than one key, especially at the most crucial, delicate parts. Slamming his hand onto the keyboard, the boil was almost ready to quit in frustration. Well...had there not been one rather intimidating professor to be dealt with...he might have, but as such, he removed his face from the keys, and took a deep breath.

Calming his nerves, he tried one of his favorites, a song that he had been able to memorize by heart, and had often played for his aunts whenever they cajoled him into playing for visitors, as though to say that they had indeed accomplished something with him musically, even if he had been coerced into the lessons. Maintaining calm, he used just the tips of his claws, forming the notes into soft chords, a simple enough melody, but one that was more than delightful. It was hard to listen, what with the cacophony that was in progress around him, but Sharra, at the very least, felt that he had accomplished something. Perhaps, all things considered, the class wouldn't be horrific.

The class was about over and Professor Blue had nodded to almost everyone who attempted to play their instrument. There were two people who didn't even try to play the instrument that Professor Blue had assigned them and he gave the two a very unpleasant expression. They were officially on his list and he quickly wrote their names down: Jack, Tahki. Jack wasn't a surprise, the demon seemed like he didn't like music class at all. He was late after all, but the other one surprised him. He took a moment to think about it and soon he wrote down another name: Ziyah. The ghost had tried to play her instrument but it seemed she needed some extra time with Blue to learn how to properly blow it. Finally, at the end of his list was Christof, the boil who dared to drop one of Blue's instruments.
"All right, good job," he said to everyone. It seemed he was still in a good mood from when Professor Red had barged into his classroom.
"Other than Jack, Christof, Tahki and Ziyah; who will be remaining for detention later, I would like everyone to take a couple hours practicing their instrument in preparation for our next class. Next class we will be working on actually learn more about each of the particular instruments as well as starting work on playing a very special song."
Blue seemed to be done talking and he walked over to the door, posting up his list of names and who has which instrument. This was for the student's reference, as well as his. He expected to see these instruments come back in one piece, by the person who took it out. There were no free rides. You had to come back, as much as a horror that might be to some students. The paper read:
SIGN YOUR NAME HERE:
Alcyone - Triangle Alwine - Cello Amrita - Cello Arachne - Saxophone Bartholomew - Tuba Belladonna - Drums Calder - Harmonica Christof - Cello Cyrilla - French Horn Elizabeth - Harp Gabrian - Bagpipes Hadiyya - Trumpet Ilztmyr'ree - Piccalo Israfel - Vocals Jack - Conch Junko - Piano Livius - Violin Lucien - Tambourine Renaissance - Bagpipes Rosciel - Harp Sepheran - Violin Sharra - Piano Sin - Trumpet Tahki - Bagpipes Unstabul - Drums West - Drums Ziyah - Kazoo
(( Just RP out your student signing it when they make a post LEAVING the class, as well as summing up any thing you have going if you so wish. Reply to what he is saying, how they feel about what will be coming next class, and etc. The four students who have detention will have to stay behind for a special RP that will continue in another RP. Blue will be taking you and your instruments for a little trip so they can get some special tutoring.
For the assignment (practicing) that Blue assigned, either make a RP with another student in the class or even one outside of the class, or a solo. The RP must involve them playing the instrument Blue assigned them. Other than that, it's pretty much free reign. You may post, or private message any questions you may have.
ASSIGNMENTS ARE DUE FOR THE NEXT MUSIC CLASS WHICH SHOULD BEGIN SOMETIME IN APRIL. MORE INFORMATION TO COME. So you have a couple weeks at least to FINISH it. The RP has to be FINISHED. ))

Detention?
Tahkis ears lifted and her face turned bright red. Detention? By not playing her instrument she had tried to cause no attention to her self but now. Detention? The gryphoness was beyond embarrassed and ashamed of her self. All Tahki could do was politely sit on her hands and look down at her feet. Ashamed.

After having practiced a bit longer, Bul was just about done with being in that classroom full of noise. It would be easier anyways to work outside of the room anyway on his own time in his own room.
With Blue's announcement, Bul couldn't help but sigh. It would take a lot of time to move the drumset back and forth from his dorm to here. In fact, he knew it may take a couple of trips so he began work immediately removing the large percussion instruments out of the classroom and signing the paper as he went by. "If I have to drag these around too much they might not come back in great condition.." he grumbled mostly to himself.

Arachne was relieved she'd at least attempted a tootle on the silly saxophone..of course now it meant she would have practice with it, but that was better than detention. She hefted her instrument up, and went to sign her name, shaking her head.
'I hope I get a choice of instrument next time..' she murmured as she left, the saxophone banging against her leg.

At the end of it all, he was thankful that he was playing something that was vaguely familiar to him. The violin wasn't that vastly different.. thankfully, yes. It was a relief of sorts, he felt. But it was the end of class and it was time to go. Putting it away with the same tender care he did his viola, he stood and dusted himself off. As Blue explained what was to happen next, he still thought it was the oddest class he had been in. What music class gave the students instruments other than the ones they wanted to play?
But a matter for another day. Doing as instructed, he went and signed his name next to the typed version.Make sure it was taken care of? Pfft that was beyond simple. As was being able to practice it. Least this was an easy assignment. Carrying one instrument in each hand, he headed back to his dorm room. Time to take the minions out for a walk.

West nodded in response to Professor Blue's dismissal of this first music class and rose to his feet, preparing to leave. He had to sign some piece of paper? All right. And it seemed everyone was just taking their instruments with them as well. He shrugged. It might take a couple of trips, but he was confident he could eventually lug this set of drums to his room.
The wrath demon lifted the snare from where it was nestled among the rest of the drums and carried it and his bloody drumsticks over to the list by the door. He signed his name then continued out of the room, a smile still lingering on his face.

Everyone was leaving with their instruments in tow, and Christof had to stay behind for detention.
This worried Barth. Not out of concern for Christof, but for concern as to how he was supposed to get the tuba back to his dorm.
He signed the sheet anyway, which thankfully did not bite, and got started on willing the tuba to move of its own volition.

The Professor's request for them to practice was met with a small smile from her; while she was disappointed at the fact that she did not get the instrument she wanted to play, at least a harp was a... Learning experience for her. Besides, he had approved her first attempt at it! That's a good thing right? Perhaps she could master it and play it for her mother on her next trip home... Anyway, she was curious about the next class. What sort of a special song does he have in mind?
As the class came to a close, Lizzy stood up, putting the harp down on the chair she had been sitting on to retrieve her guitar bag. Slinging it over her shoulder before moving back to grab the harp, she hurried over to the piece of paper that Professor Blue had posted near the door; all she has to do... Is sign on it, right? Producing a pen from the pouch of her guitar bag, she signed next to her name (Elizabeth... Wow, its weird to see that on paper since she's so used to Lizzy!) before looking back at the rest of the students with a thoughtful expression.
Everyone seemed to be busy packing up, and she wasn't sure if she should wait for them to be done (and possibly risk getting in the way) or leave straight away. After a moment's hesitation, she silently slipped out the door; she'll wait outside for a little while instead...
