Suddenly, the world had turned to chaos. The students were all flinging themselves at the road around him! But... no one was getting hurt it would seem. The hunchback had been a bit slow on the uptake of what was going on, exactly, but at seeing his Mistress suddenly lurch into the fray, he was up on his feet, (shovel all but forgotten) and after her.

Malodore picked itself up and retrieved Luce again - the cwn pup was frantic with fear, shaking visibly now and drooling slightly. "Bella, all will be well, I promise," the plague doctor whispered. The graveyard was now a mess. Students were everywhere, strung out across the box-vehicle pathway in varying stages of solidity and form. The whole sequence was actually rather nightmarish. It would have been excellent form if it had been constructed... as it was, it was just tiring and worrying at a gut level.

As his boots hit the pavement, he suddenly felt... thin. Stretched out and empty. It was an odd, surreal sensation, but he was still going strong. Mistress! he mentally called for her, begging her to wait for him but as he lurched into the second lane.... the world swam, turning to smoke around him and suddenly he was on grass once again.
