   (Going forward with the assumed scenario that Shira has already left the room. If that needs to be revisited later, we can do an alternate timeline.) David looked up from the his desk, and some papers he had been reading, at the rapping on the door. "Enter." he spoke, just loudly enough to be heard clearly beyond the door. And, in fact, the door swung open, seemingly of it's own accord after he said it. Looking down again, David piled the papers he'd been reading into a small stack and slid them to the side. All they had been were reports from the ANBU, detailing quite simply the information gathered thus far about the visitors from their time at the gate. Mainly just names and minor information on their motives, though as usual they weren't very clear at all. He sometimes wondered if there was any point to the "Reason for visiting" field at all.
Looking up once more, David frowned at the number of people present. Two groups at once, both of which most likely had private high priority information to discuss. Something of utmost importance that had to be taken very seriously. But how to decide which was more important? "You!" he spoke sharply, pointing at the boy who had knocked on the door. "Heads or tails?" the young kage finished in a much lazier tone, pulling a coin from his pocket and waiting for the response. So he didn't really care about the importance of matters at all, so what? It got things done.

[Just got home from a party so I'm kind of tired]
Kensei looked confused and hot after he was called out to choose. "Uh...tails? I don't know what this has to do with anything, but I'll play along." Kensei said while walking inside the office and taking a seat near the window in the hot office. He waiting until the kid flipped the coin and revealed which side the coin lands on.

Without waiting for anyone else to react, David flicked the coin into the air, where it spun gracefully for all of an impressive three seconds before landing on the desk in front of him. David looked at the coin for a moment, nodded, and put it back in his pocket silently. "Okay. You three," he began, pointing at each of the Kumo nin individually. "Out. I'll send for you when I'm ready." Pausing for a moment, he let his eyes roam them, taking in their appearance. They certainly didn't seem to be handling the heat well. Personally, David had never had trouble with the heat, having been born and raised in the village. And after the sealing, well, he'd actually begun to like it, which was why his office was very similar in temperature to the desert itself. But these were Kumo nin, used to the much cooler temperatures atop their mountains. They might enjoy the desert night, but the day was not their environment. "There's a water cooler in the waiting room next door." he added as a final word to them as they left.

" Looks like you're up first Yamatano-san. " Laxus said smiling as they made it to the top and the Kazekage chose Yamatano to talk to because of Kensei's poor decision making skills. Or maybe it was just bad luck. Laxus didn't know, but he didn't care either.
" Good job Guy. " Laxus said looking at Kensei. He chuckled lightly and shrugged it off. It didn't bother him that much, besides he could go have a look around town before anything happened. ' Wait, if I go walking around Guy would never allow me to go on another mission if that one dude finds me, His name was Jishaku Furimawasu. Crap, now I actually have to wait. Oh well, I just wish that we could have had Yamatano in the room with us when we gave our information to the Kazekage. It would reduce our need to go to Kirigakure. Plus he seems stronger than us, so he could probably allow us into the village at a later date. ' Laxus thought to himself as he bowed to the Kazekage and turned to go into the room next door.
He picked up one of the cups that were provided and took a swig. As soon as Sora and Kensei walked in, Laxus would need to ask them something. ' We really need to know each other's strengths and weaknesses. Two of us are Raiton users, so we need to know if one of us has Katon in order to defeat Fuuton. ' He thought sighing. He'd still keep his bloodline a secret, no one in Kumogakure knew and he'd like to keep it that way until he needed them to know. He looked around the room, it was fairly bare except for the few chairs around the room. They at least looked semi-comfortable. Suddenly Laxus snapped to attention. As soon as the other two were coming into the waiting room Laxus would inevitably request that Yamatano be allowed into the Kazekage's office when they gave their report.

《Blue Bird》 《Run Around》  Sora hadn't even bothered entering the room. The heads or tails question that the Kazekage asked had given away to her that he was going to flip a coin to decide who he would speak to first. Thus, the girl simply stood where she was until the results were announced.
When the results were announced and the group was informed that there was a water cooler next door, Sora nodded and mustered a grateful smile as she straightened up and walked to the appointed room. As she entered it, the girl took a sip from the water bottle that Zeero had given her. The water was warm as most water was in the desert, but it still helped her to cool down. As Zeero had pointed out, the salt did help to sate her thirst.
As for the water cooler.... Forget about drinking from it, Sora went to hug it, sighing happily upon feeling the coolness it provided. Did it look weird? Probably, but the only other people in the room were Laxus and Kensei so it was all good.
Of course, even while performing these antics, Sora still heard Laxus's question. Although, she was confused as to why he would ask it. Sora, for one, had given just as much information as Laxus had. A bit more in fact. Laxus had only given his element, Sora had given him basically her element and class. As for Kensei, he was basically wearing his information. On his back was the Uchiha clan crest, a crest that even Sora knew despite coming from only a civilian family. It was a crest just about anyone in Kumo would have know for not only were the Uchihas a prominent clan but the previous Raikage (Sosay Uchiha) was also of the clan. That clan crest in particular should have answered the one specific question Laxus had: if anyone knew katon.
Still hugging the water cooler, Sora popped a lollipop into her mouth before speaking in a only slightly tired voice, "Ne ne, Laxus, you say that but you've revealed the least out of everyone here. All you've revealed is your element, raiton. Even if you specified that's all you're good at, that still leaves at least three possible classes. Kensei is basically wearing most of his information on his back and it's not hard to guess from his muscles that he specializes in physical stuff, specifically hand-to-hand combat considering his lack of weapons. As for me, I've told you everything: raiton and sealing. That right there is my element and class. I can't say anymore even if I wanted to since I don't have a bloodline or clan."
All that coming from a tired girl hugging a water cooler to escape the desert heat. Sora wasn't trying to be a smarty-pants or anything. She simply felt that Laxus wasn't being fair and so had spoken up about it. The girl honestly thought that Laxus had simply missed the Uchiha clan symbol on Kensei's back.

" Heh, I guess you're right Sora. " Laxus said fiddling with his cup of water. Glad he had gotten it before the girl had gotten the cooler in her death grip. " I'd have to say I'm a Ninjutsu specialist that specifically uses Raiton. " Laxus said laughing. " Really my class isn't important, I just use ninjutsu more than anything else, and I specialize in raiton, so you already knew that. " Laxus said laughing lightly, almost naturally. " I have no clan to speak of either, and I don't know if I have a bloodline. " Laxus said looking down. He really didn't know if his mastery over metal was due to some odd bloodline or not, he just knew he could maneuver metal around. His parents didn't belong to a clan, and he didn't learn the clan techniques, so it wasn't a clan.
" Hey Sora, do you think it would be alright if Yamatano were to be allowed to hear what we have to say to the Kazekage as well? " Laxus asked, looking at the young girl. She would hopefully agree, maybe she'd see the usefulness in allowing Yamatano to carry the message, and possibly strengthening ties to a Kiri shinobi. You don't just get included in a high priority talk and disregard it like it is a common occurrence, unless it is a common occurrence...
( I guess Laxus could, It actually isn't too bad.
Also Laxus was thinking those sentences, he never actually asked anything. Dx I need to put thought in Italics, but I keep forgetting to. I'm sorry for being confusing. )

" So you'd waste the time and effort, weakening Kumogakure, to make a trip all the way to Kirigakure when we could just as easily tell yamatano to deliver a message to The Lord Mizukage? " Laxus asked in a hushed tone. He lowered his tone primarily because Yamatano had yet to enter the Kazekage's office. " Not to mention that we could gain a potential ally within Kirigakure potentially making it easier to reach peace with their village. " Laxus said, lightning dancing across his scar as he became angrier. " I didn't blab to him, I told him to be cautious. I don't want us to be blamed for a rogue kumo shinobi killing a kiri ninja. If by telling him to be wary of someone, just by his name, he doesn't die then I'd say I improved the Kiri-Kumo relation. " Laxus said, his voice returning to normal and lightning no longer dancing across his scar as he cooled down just enough to evade getting too angry.
" But you're the leader, so I'll leave it with you. " Laxus said sighing, putting his feet up into the seat next to his own. ' I wonder just how someone like him could have been allowed to become a chuunin. Kumo isn't strong enough to deal with it's own problems, I've only seen the gate guards, the Raikage, Sora and Guy. How is that supposed to stop an entire village? ' Laxus thought to himself as he took a drink out of his cup. " You're hair is black again. " Laxus said pointing to Kensei's head. He was obviously pointing out the obvious and would until he was satisfied that Kensei knew what he was doing. Childish? Yes. Effective? Possibly. Entertaining? Definitely. Laxus knew that he wouldn't be a prospective squad member for very much longer, but maybe that would give him the time to train on his own, maybe even find the truth to his power, or just develop it further. He sighed looking up into the ceiling. " Guy, I'm sorry for losing my temper, it's just that from what I've seen so far, Kumo isn't all that strong. Kiri is known for being powerful, why would we chance it? By allowing him to join us in there, then he could not only allow us to go back to Kumogakure faster by taking the load off that Kirigakure would receive the message, but it would strengthen ties to Kirigakure. That's all I'm trying to say. " Laxus said, closing his eyes and beginning to think to himself. ' If we don't gain allies soon, we could be in for a world of hurt later. ' He thought to himself his eyelids pressing tightly together in thought, his brow furrowed.

"Don't know?" the girl repeated what Laxus had said before adding in her own thoughts, "Well, if you have any ability that most other people don't have, then it's likely that you have a clan or bloodline." the girl didn't delve into asking exactly why Laxus was unsure. As suspicious as the question was, the most possible answer for it (Laxus's parents having died before he could learn much about them) made such searching too insensitive.
Switching over to the current topic, Sora mulled over it a bit as Kensei dumped water over his head and answered before her. She listened to Kensei's reasons. After hearing the two sides, Sora then thought back to the specific orders that the Raikage had given.
Normally in this situation, Sora would have just stuck to Kensei's decision regardless of what she herself thought. As team leader, he deserved some level of respect and the choice wasn't so important as to lower the team leader's authority. Many people might have seen such reasoning as too conforming and mindless, but in Sora's opinion it was necessary to try and maintain the leader's authority. Often during an emergency, an average but quickly followed decision did more good than trying to argue for the best decision and causing overall confusion.
However, after seeing how Kensei and Laxus interacted with each other (honestly, if she hadn't known their elements, Sora would have thought one was fire and the other water or something along those lines), Sora felt that perhaps voicing her opinions would help keep the two from arguing. However, it was apparently already too late. Laxus, already with a fixed opinion, was quick to launch his counterargument. Although, he too seemed to understand the importance of giving the leader some level of authority.... Even if in exchange for it he started to annoy Kensei.
"You two.... Really?...," Sora couldn't help but comment; although, even when saying this she had a smile (an exasperated one) on. Admittedly, Laxus's last words were reasonable enough, but everything else he had said to Kensei was not (to be exact, the way he said it). There was a short pause as she decided not to expand the argument about whether or not to tell Yamatano by putting in her own opinion, which she had formed by this point. Rather, she cut straight to the choice, "Why do you always argue? First off, Kensei, I already asked you this, but why can't you call say Laxus's name correctly? It's disrespectful to get it wrong. And Laxus, I know you only did it in retaliation, but trying to fight back by calling Kensei 'Guy' is just as immature." Yes, Sora, the youngest and usually the most immature of the group, just called both Kensei and Laxus immature. What had happened? Simple, the girl was tired, even with her constant consumption of sweets. It wasn't just the desert that made her tired, it was the near-constant tension between the other two in her squad, which caused her to worry and stress. Being tired, of course, meant that Sora didn't have the energy to carry out her usual hyperactive routine. She was still the same Sora (as can be seen by her continued smiles). It was just that now that her excitement was gone, her intelligence could shine more. She wasn't annoyed or anything by the two. She just wanted to stop their fighting, or at least understand why they fought. "Also, Laxus, right now, did you really need to make say all that much only to back off? Why try to fuel useless, maybe even harmful, fires? Trying to show off your point like that would only make Kensei, or anyone else you're talking to, more adamant about their own point. Also, Kensei, your words could have been a bit nicer. Is this some game I don't know about where the winner is whoever can make the other person angrier? If it is, can you two put it on hold until we return to Kumo? Showing something so foolish is more likely to damage Kumogakure's reputation than either asking for help or having a shinobi from another village die simply because we failed to inform him out of the whole crowd of other shinobis in the area. Remember, while here, we represent Kumo. As my teacher always tell me, try to act like a proper ninja, especially around those from other villages."

Kensei was speechless after hearing Sora's rant. He was so used to the girl always falling and being cheerful that he really didn't take her seriously. "I'm just trying to get the guy to loosen up Sora." Kensei said while leaning out of the window and dumping water on his head to get rid of the left over dye. "But you're right. We're here for our village. And ill think about letting Yamatono into our meeting." He stepped away from the window with his hair completely black and covering his eyes. "But...Laxus. Seriously if you're keeping any secrets from us you better let us know now." He said while leaning against a wall with his arms crossed. Even though his eyes couldn't be seen, kensei was glaring at Laxus as if he was waiting for him to lie.

" Sorry Sora. " Laxus said, looking away. He didn't mean to make Sora angry, or agitate her. He mostly just wanted the respect he deserved from Kensei.
" Hiding? I guess I might be hiding one thing, although you've never really asked me about it. " Laxus said sighing. He'd have to show them his ability. He'd have liked to show it under different circumstances, but he might lose Kensei and Sora as potential allies when the time came if he didn't now. He focused on his own dog tags. He could have chosen a kunai or something, but something like that could be construed as him being hostile. He used his magnetic waves to lift the chain and the metal tablets from around his neck and then let them float over to rest on Kensei's arms gently. " I can create and control magnetic waves. Mainly just granules of sand sized bits, but I can use slightly larger objects like Kunai and Shuriken. " Laxus said sighing. " I wanted to reveal it later, but since you wanted to know, I'll say it now. I can also use Doton. " Laxus said sighing and making a couple hand signs. " Dust clone. " Laxus said, the dust in the room converging in the middle to appear looking like Laxus. " Disperse. " Laxus said making another handsigns and dispersing the Dust clone, not thinking it through as the room was now cloudy with dust. " There. Now let's hear more about you two. I've revealed everything except my past, and I know something has to do with your crest thingy. " Laxus said pointing at Kensei. " And I'm not too sure if you've got anything from me, but if you do, I'd like to know about it. " Laxus said pointing to Sora. He took his feet off of the chair next to him and sat up in his seat leaning forward slightly. He raised his hand and opened his palm to his dog tags which shot across the room into his hand. " And for the record, I don't know if this is a bloodline, or merely something that I can do based on my raiton and doton abilities alone. " Laxus said sighing. If he was supposed to reveal everything about himself except for his past, then he didn't see why these two couldn't either.
( Oh, it is fine. xD I was going to ask it anyway, so it got it out of the way. xD
Oh. xD Maybe, I don't know how Laxus would react to that. )

Yamatano burned with jealousy as he saw the kumo shinobi leave to an area he had been told had a water cooler. Despite his longing for water, yamatano remained professional, entering the office to find.......a boy sitting in the kazekage's chair. "L-lord kazekage?" Yamatano said, incredulous at meeting yet another boy kage. Yamatano had always thought lord Luo-dono was young, but this was just getting ridiculous. "Thank you for seeing me. I am Yamatano Hatake of the Kirigakure Oinin." Yamatano began to shuffle through his bag, presenting a picture of a man in a pinkish full-body shinini wrap which went up to the bridge of his nose. "Approximately a week ago, this man came to kirigakure requesting citizenship. We have no record on him, so the mizukage sent me to ask: has this man been spotted in your village?"

David chuckled at the sight of the others leaving the room. The two boys looked so depressed about it, but in reality they were the winners. After all, Yamatano was now stuck with him, with no water, when he probably needed it more than any of them. The mountains were cooler than Suna, but they weren't as wet as Kiri, and when you lived in a place for long enough you became reliant upon the atmosphere. Having his water taken away was likely a harsher blow to Yamatano than anything David could intentionally have done, short of attacking him physically.
Focusing back on the remaining boy, David waved his hand dismissively at the stuttering surprise the boy used to address him as the kage. "No actually, I'm just filling in on duties the Lady Kazekage can't be bothered with." he responded, laying emphasis on the lady. It surprised him a bit how people assumed he held the position so rapidly despite it being well known that the kazekage was a woman. Or had rumor of her disappearance begun to spread already? He would have to come up with a suitable show of power soon in that case, to cement himself in the minds of the nations, and prevent war.
As Yamatano continued, introducing himself and laying down a picture before him, David only gave it the shortest of glances before looking up at the boy again, his face twisted into an odd grin. Just like Shinji, Yamatano didn't recognize him. He may not have recognized the other boy himself, but for the unique look, and having been alerted to his name. It was surprisingly difficult to forget someone after their last meeting. "We've met before. I believe the last time we met, you stabbed one of my villagers." He wasn't sure if Yamatano would recall that event or not. For him, it had been over a year, but for David, much less. Several months at most thanks to his coma. But that day would forever be seared into David's memory, as it was the day Koizumi had at last proven herself fully incompetent, and furthermore, the day he had met Luo, one of the few men he actually held respect for.

Yamatano grew very worried at the boy's last statement. Was he being accused of murder? It was true that he had killed plenty of bandits from questionable origin, but Yamatano had never been to Sunagakure, much less on an assassination assignment. It was only when he looked back at the boy's wry smile that the memories came back to him.
He remembered the chuunin exams, when he saved the suna girl from drowning with his ninjutsu. He remembered stabbing the hachibi boy to prevent a rampage. He remembered almost killing the same boy with Kaizen Minoru when the hachibi began to rage against a boy who looked remarkably similar to the one in front of him, a boy whose name could only be...
"David." Yamatano said with a small smile. "I see you've done well for yourself. The hand of the Kage is quite a prestegious position." Yamatano paused to give the boy time to respond, and possibly answer his question about the man in the picture.

David laughed again at Yamatano's quick realization. "You got it faster than Shinji did. Took him about an hour." The boy was actually rather surprised at Yamatano's reaction. They hadn't exactly been on good terms last time they met. Well, his jinchuuriki friend more than him really. He hadn't realized it at the time, but intel from those exams made it quite clear what the other boy was. "You've done well too. Oinin is a rather high honor in Kiri is it not?" he responded to Yamatano's compliment, not showing any of his surprise at the boy's seeming lack of animosity. Really it wasn't that surprising. Even if the hard feelings had lasted this long, a trained hunter nin would no doubt know enough to hold them back while on his mission. Ah yes, the mission.
Looking down at the picture, David examined it for a few moments. Particularly the man's face, or what little of it could be seen. It'd be difficult to identify the man with so little to go on. Why had they not gotten a more clear picture? Did they not want him to know he was being researched? Even still, they'd want a good photo for their records. Then again, the young kage glanced at Yamatano, Kiri had been rather well known in recent years for masked nin, so maybe it wasn't such a surprise that they didn't unveil him.
Pushing the picture back across the desk, David looked up again, a much more serious expression on his face than before. he hadn't recognized the man, but that meant nothing. He could still have been seen in the village. More than that though, this was a good chance to earn a favor from Kiri. "You must know, that anything I give you has to have a price. What is Kiri willing to do for information on this man?" he asked, staring intently into the other boy's eyes. He already had some idea what he wanted, but it'd be interesting first to see what the oinin might offer.
