So he had been beaten, tough break. At least he was able to move around....despite looking like s**t. "Tough break man....if you need to...you know....talk about it." This was awkward. Kylar wasn't the heart felt come talk to me guy. He was more of the, I'll punch you in the shoulder and everything will be alright kinda guy.....but Blade was hurt so punching would probably be a bad idea. "Hey what class are you in right now?" Depending maybe it would be best if Kylar helped him come up with an excuse to skip.

"Alright," Neko picked up his bag with his remaining items. "Let's go." And thus his trek into the middle of no where began. He led their little survival team deep into the woods where there was a wide rocky stream. Setting his bag down he turned to the group to see what they all had. "You." He pointed to Shun. "Tell me a few ideas that come to mind on how you could use those paperclips. The rest of you get thinking as well....and try to think outside the box as they say. I know its a tiring line but you can't just look at the paperclips and think its for clipping together some damn paper. First one to give me a smartass remark like that gets to gut a fish with their teeth." And he wasn't joking.

Wrapping an arm loosely around Riyo's shoulder as she clung to his shirt, Klyde nearly hissed, his teeth bared as he looked at the two hive boys. That expression started to fade slightly as Nami spoke up. Not that he was incredibly worried about the 'getting any', he barely got any to begin with from her, but the realization that he might be crossing the line...might make her angry....might make her retaliate on him. And it wouldn't even be him. If he was the only one he had to worry about there would be no concern.

With a sigh as they walked off he looked down at Riyo. "Are you okay?" This trip was a roller coaster ride for sure.

The Cajun was the one that decided to be blindfolded, which was rather odd but Mitsu tried not to focus on that. Right now she had to focus on not letting Ken run into anything as he decided to let her lead. Over all, she was certain this was a bad idea.

"Alright, just line up here," Marty instructed showing the pairs where the course would start. The lines of the maze was clearly marked, the booby traps...not so much. "And begin!"

Reluctantly Mitsu started onto the path to look for any sighs of a trap. "Uumm...s...straight forward a few paces." She instructed to Ken.

The Cajun grinned as his partner led him onto the course as well, sure to keep an ear out for where Ken or Mitsu were. Being blindfolded he had the perfect excuse to 'run into' them.

Not very interested in Suto's assignment, Tessa wandered into the woods consorting with a few other hive and Desmond fan club members. She seemed to be laying out some sort of plan though their hushed tones were hard to over hear.

((Suto is doing nothing but standing and smoking lol))

Nami didn't stay to watch the 'couple' get all lovey dovey. Without a word, she stormed off.

"N-nami, what about class?!" The boy who was helping his friend to his feet shouted, immediately chasing after her when the other boy was able to stand.

"Screw class." She yelled back, already in the distance.

The boy with a hand clenching his gut shot Klyde one last look before hobbling off to regroup, not wanting to be a punching bag.

"I'm okay..." Riyo sighed, grip loosening. "I just... Don't like it when people touch me like that." Though, it seemed like the more Klyde saved her, the more pissed off Nami got. Even Riyo realized he couldn't be there every second to save her from things like that... Sooner or later she'd have to face the music. Perhaps it would be better to take it sooner. "Thanks." She said nonetheless. It wasn't like he realized what he was doing anyways... For all she knew he was just trying to help, and that meant a lot to her.

Neko gave a nod. "Good, that's the kind of thinking I'm looking for. They can be easily fashioned into hooks for fishing, they can even be used as a make-shift needle depending on how desperately you need one, among other things. The tissues can be used as a fire starter, which is helpful if the wood you're trying to light is wet. Not all of us can be fire users after all." He went on to explain a few other uses that their items could be used for and then immediately set them to work. He had a small group start by fashioning a shelter out of the materials they had nearby while the other group practiced fishing with their make-shift hooks or with their hands.

At first Neko seemed to be in full swing teaching mode, following his students progress, answering questions, and helping them solve problems. He was doing well...until he realized he actually missed teaching. It was then that he took a step back, let the students do what they wanted while he sat back and watched. Lazily he pulled his knife from his boot and started to whittle at some wood out of boredom, a little figure quickly coming to shape.

Klyde frowned, not really sure how to comfort her. "I'm sorry you have to deal with that." Arm wrapped loosely around her shoulder he pulled her along. "Come on, it looks like Nami is ditching so class should be quiet." Thankfully.

Kylar's eyes brightened. "Oh, well hey man I got your back. You're in my class." With a grin Kylar gave a thumbs up. "We'll take a short lazy hike which is good because I don't really want to walk around either." He laughed a bit patting Blade on the shoulder. "Come on."

Kylar gathered up his class shortly after and as promised the hike was very lazy as he took them on a side trail toward the lake. Once at the water Kylar sat back to let the kids explore since there were some smaller trails and some caves nearby.

The course for Mitsu and Ken went rather smoothly at first. She was able to lead him a good ways in with no interference though the hive group stayed close.

"T..turn to your right a little and move for...wait WAIT WAIT!" She had missed a trap and had nearly made Ken run into it. This had happened a few times but so far they had avoided them. "S...sorry. Take a step to your left."

Hearing Mitsu's cry out for Ken to stop, the Cajun smiled. They were close and no doubt Ken was on top of a trap from the sound of it. Shuffling over with the fan club member's instruction, the Cajun rather roughly bumped into Ken sending him in the direction of the trap on the ground.

Seeing Shun's death glare made poke a tad bit confused. Until she realized what she had done. "Oh! right, sorry about that, it's...Bend-tail, right?" It sounded about right in her head.

After neko had explained to them some other uses for their items, poke and varn went about with the various tasks they were allocated. Safe to say they now had a higher opinion of their teacher, the information they had receive was quite impressive.

Eventually, Varn had made his fish hook, and was sitting on the streams edge casting his line into the water. Poke however, was going for a more hands on approach, knee deep in the stream and trying to remember how to catch the fish with her bare hands.

"Dammit!" Poke made a dive, and for the umpteenth time missed her catch.

"Careful poke, you're going to scare the fish away!" Varn couldn't help but laugh at pokes antics.

"You think this is easy? How about you try it!" With a huff the girl made another jump again.

"Nah, I'm enjoying watching you do it!" He laughed again when his friend started shaking her fist in his general direction.

Ken had been concentrating heavily on where his feet were going, as well as mitsu's directions, so he was able to stop in time. This however, did not help much. As he was trying to feel his way around, he felt something push him forwards, and his next step was met with thin air. The rest of him followed quickly enough, and with a quick shout of alarm he fell into the shallow pit.

"ugh...Where am I again?" the fall left Ken in a heap on the floor and a little disorientated.

Neko looked up from his wood carving shortly to see how things were coming along. It looked like the group putting the shelter together had the right ideas but turning toward the fishing group it looked as though they were having a little trouble. One in particular. With a sigh he set his carving down, a little cat had started to come to light amidst the wood he had been working at. Getting to his feet he made his way to the stream kicking his shoes off before he entered. He wasn't too concerned about his pants being wet, they would dry.

"You like to jump the gun don't you?" He asked as he approached Poke, reaching out to take hold of her hands. "You have to be a little more patient." Guiding her hands toward the water they breached the surface and there they waited. "Don't go after the fish just let them come to you. Why do all the work right? You might have to preserve your energy...for your know...fighting bears of whatever it is you like to do." He grinned a bit in his teasing, his eyes still focused on the water as fish started to swim up around their feet. It only took a few more seconds before a fish braved a course between their hands and that's when Neko guided Poke's hands shut around the creature and lifted them to pull it out of the water.

The hike hadn't done much for Klyde, he was more focused on Riyo than anything around him. He obviously wasn't one to stop and smell the roses. When they reached the lake he had a look around, his eyes settling on a face from yesterday. So the kid had managed to come back. What a shame, he was hoping to have a little snack later.

Kicking back was rather nice, it seemed like the perfect day to be lazy, at least that's what Kylar thought. "So what class do you have after this one?" He looked to Blade who wasn't sitting to far off. "Need me to make an excuse for you to skip?" At least Kylar wasn't above doing that. Of course, he remembered skipping class a lot as a kid....excuse or not.

"Ah!" Mitsu rushed to the shallow hole that Ken had managed to fall into. "A...are you okay?" Kneeling down she offered him a hand up....though she probably wouldn't be much help considering how light she was.

"Oh, sorry about that, Cheri." The Cajun grinned as he pushed his blindfold up slightly to have a look at his handy work. "I just can't see where I'm going. Surely you understand."

Riyo smiled as Klyde joined her, looking up at him before getting an idea. While he was distracted looking elseware, she dipped her hand in the water and flicked it at his face without warning. "Wacha looking at loser?" She asked in a teasing tone, sticking her tongue out at him.

"Not so tough when you put your mind to it," Neko patted Poke on the shoulder lightly before he exited the stream. "Alright we have about fifteen minutes left. Wrap up what you're doing and we'll head back. You'll have a little break before your next class starts.

Mitsu did her best to help pull Ken from the hole, her feet braced against the ground as she pulled against his hand.

"Tough luck, bro." The Cajun grinned reaching out to pat Ken on the shoulder. He tried to keep it looking as casual as possibly but he put quite a bit of force into it before his hand grasped the boy's shoulder painfully tight. "Don't worry we can continue this lesson after class, friend." With a chuckle the Cajun let Ken go and continued through the course with the aid of the fan club girl.

"I..I'm sorry about that," Mitsu said softly. She wasn't sure if the hive boy was messing with Ken because of her or not but she felt the need to apologize anyway.

Klyde had just started to turn his head hearing the water move and was suddenly greeted with a splash to the face. "Hey!" He grinned rather evilly. "I think you're asking for it." Wiping at his wet face he moved toward Riyo, hands lashing out to grab hold of her arms.

"Eh, its no problem. You can 'help' me through the rest of classes. I'm sure they won't mind." Kylar's fingers made the little quote marks as he said 'help', meaning that Blade could get some rest. "But if you're sure you want to go through the other classes. At least they shouldn't be horrible. Mr. Adolphus said something about sending the kids to collect plant samples and Marty is having groups go through the minefield course. Best suggestion, stay to the right." Marty seemed to favor putting the traps to the left of the course's trail for some reason.
