Uhm, Azura said I could put this here to recieve feedback. I hope nobody minds.
Character Name: Lilia Riarsila
Character Gender: Female
Character Age: 22
Race: Human
Occupation: Researcher, scientist, and librarian. As she will tell you, the middle one is a bit useless without the other two.
Alignment: Protagonist
Description/Picture:
HereFighting Style: Fast. Quick strikes, quick dodges, the entire style being to give as much damage as possible while taking as little as possible.
Weapon(s): Several stiletto daggers, which can be thrown in a pinch. (But usually at big targets.)
Skills/Magic: Lilia highly admires magic and magic users. She finds it to be utterly fascinating, and so a great deal of her research goes into that study. However, she is human and limited by her blood so she can simply attempt to recreate the effects via experimentation.
The result is a bit crude at this point, but hopefully could become more smooth with time. She's developed gauntlets that draw mana and convert them to elements and energy, producing fire or ice, or drawing earth up to throw at people. She's yet to perfect the healing "spell". At this point it's as likely to harm as help.
For herself specifically she's been using them to convert mana into pure energy and inject it into her, so she's capable of amazing bursts of speed for short periods.
Oh, and she can cook. Pretty well actually. She kind of has to.
Personality: Do not be fooled by her kind looking demeanor. Well, she is in fact kind, and she likes children and animals and all those other things women get all soft over. Kind if sarcastic... But be warned. She can easily go from kind librarian to pissed off chick, and will if provoked. She enjoys reading, of course, and her experiments, and she loves to work outdoors. She can get a bit carried away, not to where others are hurt but she's often skipped meals and even sleep when in the middle of a particularly interesting book or experiment. She likes people but they rarely seem to like her, leaving her slightly lonely.
Fave Food Type: Anything with fruit in it.
Bio: She was born in Tethe'Alla, Meltokio in fact, to parents who were less than wealthy. They weren't poor exactly, but they lived nowhere near the beautiful houses and pretty butterfly people near the castle, although ocassionally Lilia and her subsequent younger siblings Teirabelle and Jorian would sneak up to hide and watch as they flitted past. And when it could be afforded, Lilia's parents bought her books. Books, papers, small things really but so large to a child with such an avid mind. Then came ingredients, nothing dangerous, but small experiments. She was talented. But it was a hobby. She was a commoner. It wasn't the best childhood, but they were fed and clothed and loved...To a point.
When Lilia was eight years old, her father went mad. Or perhaps he had always been mad and the godhood her child mind had placed upon her father had obscured it, but in that year he broke her. He broke their family. Because you see that year, he killed her mother. Lilia watched as he hit her again and again until she no longer moved. Then he stormed out the door and she never saw him again.
Two days later, just when the littler ones were starting to ask why they couldn't go into their parents' room to look for them, the guards arrived. Her father had turned himself in, and been arrested for his crime of murder. The children were to vacate the house, as their parents had apparently been renting it from a wealthy young lord and his wife. At this time Lilia began to beg, to plead to their uncaring ears...until the lord himself came forward. But he did not look at the dirty child on the ground, no, he was looking at her little workshop. "Who did this?" he asked, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "Was it your father?" "N-no my lord," in a child's loyalty to her father not wanting to get him into more trouble, even after what he'd done, "That's mine." "I believe we can arrange something," he said in a tone of finality.
And so the arrangement...such as it was, there was really no choice in the matter, and so the arrangement was made. Lelia would research for the lord, and subsequently move to the palace when the king demanded results from the commoner's research, and her siblings would stay in their home and be fed and clothed...and taught...and eventually adopted by the young lord and his wife. They were kind people really, and came to love the children they cared for as their own, even after they had their own son. Lelia too was content with her lot. She had what she wanted, her family was safe, and that nagging pain in her heart could be ignored. For a time.
But happiness never lasts for Lelia. Her brother was recently kidnapped, leaving his adoptive parents frantic with grief and his elder sister determined to save him, even at the cost of her own life.
Other Notes: She'll be either searching for her bro when she meets up with y'all or get the news directly after depending on what you're doing and where you're going.
Oh, and she hates spiders. Like, a lot. And things that look like spiders.
